< Ndị Rom 1 >

1 Pọl, odibo Kraịst Jisọs, onye Chineke kpọrọ ka ọ bụrụ onyeozi ya na onye o kewapụtara ka o zisaa oziọma ya.
PAUL, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, set apart for the Gospel of God,
2 Oziọma a bụ nke ahụ Chineke kwere na nkwa nʼoge gara aga site nʼọnụ ndị amụma ya nke e dere ihe banyere ya nʼakwụkwọ nsọ.
(which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures, )
3 Oziọma a metụtara Ọkpara ya, onye bụ nwa Devid site nʼọmụmụ nke anụ ahụ.
concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord; made from the seed of David after the flesh,
4 Onye esitere na Mmụọ nke ịdị nsọ họpụta ị bụ Ọkpara Chineke, site nʼike nke mbilite nʼọnwụ, bụ Kraịst Jisọs, Onyenwe anyị.
definitively marked out as the Son of God by miracle, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead:
5 Onye anyị sitere nʼaka ya nata amara na ọrụ ị bụ onyeozi, ime ka ndị mba ọzọ nwee nrube isi nke okwukwe nʼetiti ha nʼihi aha ya.
through whom we have received grace and apostolic mission among all nations for his name, to bring them to the obedience of faith:
6 Tinyere unu onwe unu ndị ahụ a kpọrọ ka ha bụrụ ndị nke Jisọs Kraịst.
among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ.
7 Ya bụ, unu ndị Chineke hụrụ nʼanya bi na Rom, ndị ọ kpọrọ ka ha bụrụ ndị nsọ: Ka amara na udo nke sitere na Chineke Nna anyị, na Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst dịrị unu.
To all that are at Rome, beloved of God, called saints, grace unto you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8 Na mbụ, ana m ekele Chineke ekele nʼihi unu niile, site nʼaha Jisọs Kraịst. Nʼihi na a na-ekwusa ihe banyere okwukwe unu nʼụwa niile.
First then I give thanks to my God, through Jesus Christ, for you all, because your faith is proclaimed through the whole world.
9 Chineke, onye m na-ejere ozi, nʼime mmụọ site na ikwusa oziọma nke Ọkpara ya, bụ onye akaebe na m na-echeta unu mgbe niile nʼekpere m.
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the Gospel of his Son, how incessantly I make mention of you,
10 Nʼekpere m oge niile, a na m arịọ ka ọ bụrụ ihe ga-ekwe mee na site nʼike Chineke, aga m enwe ohere ịbịa leta unu.
always in my prayers entreating that haply now at last I may have a prosperous journey by the will of God, to come to you.
11 Ọ na-agụ m agụụ nke ukwuu ịbịa hụ unu anya, nʼihi na achọrọ m ka unu keta oke nʼonyinye Mmụọ Nsọ nke Chineke nyere m, nke ga-enyere unu aka iguzosi ike nʼokwukwe.
For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, in order that you may be established;
12 Ọ bụkwaghị naanị nke a, kama achọrọ m ka anyị gbarịtaa onwe anyị ume site nʼokwukwe anyị.
and that so I may be comforted together with you, by the mutual faith both of you and of me.
13 Ụmụnna m, achọrọ m ime ka unu mata na atụọla m atụmatụ ịbịa leta unu ọtụtụ mgbe (ma tutu ruo ugbu a e gbochiri m ịbịa), ka m nwee ike nweta mkpụrụ nʼetiti unu, dịka m nwere nʼetiti ndị mba ọzọ.
But I would not that ye should be unacquainted, brethren, that oftentimes I have been purposing to come to you (and have been prevented until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other Gentile nations.
14 Nʼihi na abụ m onye ji ụgwọ nye ndị Griik na ndị mba ọzọ, nyekwa ndị maara ihe na ndị nzuzu.
Both to the Greeks and barbarians, both to the wise and the ignorant am I a debtor.
15 Ya mere m ji dị njikere ikwusa oziọma nyekwa unu bụ ndị bi na Rom.
So, as far as is in my power, I am desirous to preach the Gospel to you that are at Rome also.
For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God for salvation to every one who believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 Nʼihi na ọ bụ nʼoziọma ka e kpughere ezi omume Chineke, ezi omume nke na-esite nʼokwukwe ruo okwukwe. Dịka e siri dee ya, “Onye ezi omume ga-esite nʼokwukwe dị ndụ.”
For the righteousness of God by faith is therein revealed for belief; as it is written, “Now the just by faith shall live.”
18 Nʼihi na e sitela nʼeluigwe kpughe ọnụma Chineke megide mmehie na ajọ omume niile nke ndị na-emebi iwu, ndị na-esite nʼajọ omume ha na-eguzogide eziokwu ahụ.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of men, holding back the truth in unrighteousness.
19 Nʼihi na ndị a maara ihe ha kwesiri ịmata banyere Chineke. Ha maara ya nʼihi na Chineke nʼonwe ya emeela ka o doo ha anya.
Because that which is capable of being known relative to God, is evident among them; for God hath manifested it to them.
Ụmụ mmadụ na-aghọta ihe ndị a site nʼihe ndị e kere eke. Nʼihi nke a ụmụ mmadụ enwekwaghị ngọpụ. (aïdios g126)
For from the creation of the world his invisible perfections, discoverable in the works that are made, are clearly seen, even his eternal power and deity; so that they are inexcusable: (aïdios g126)
because though they knew there was a God, they glorified him not as God, nor gave him thanks, but became triflers in their disputations, and their stupid heart was darkened.
22 Mgbe ha na-eche na ha bụ ndị maara ihe, ha amataghị na ha bụ ndị nzuzu.
Affecting to be sophists, they turned idiots,
Ihe ndị a yiri mmadụ na-anwụ anwụ, na nnụnụ, na ụmụ anụmanụ, na ihe na-akpụ akpụ nʼala.
and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of an image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and of quadrupeds, and of reptiles.
Wherefore God abandoned them, through the lusts of their own hearts, unto impurity, to dishonour their own bodies by themselves:
25 Ha were okwu ụgha dochie nʼọnọdụ eziokwu banyere Chineke. Amen. (aiōn g165)
who perverted the truth of God by falsehood, and worshipped and paid divine honours to the thing created instead of the Creator, who is blessed for evermore. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 Ọ bụ nke a mere Chineke jiri nyefee ha nʼaka agụụ anụ ahụ nke na-eme ihere. Nʼihi ya, ọ bụladị ndị inyom na ndị inyom ibe ha nọgidere na-enwe mmekọrịta nʼụzọ na-ezighị ezi.
For this cause God gave them up to dishonourable passions. For even their women did change the natural use into that which was contrary to nature;
27 Ọzọkwa, kama ha na ndị inyom inwe mmekọrịta; ndị ikom ha họọrọ ka ha na ndị ikom ibe ha na-enwe ụdị mmekọrịta nke ha na ndị inyom kwesiri inwe. Nwoke na-edinakwuru nwoke ibe ya. Nʼụzọ dị otu a, ha natakwara ntaramahụhụ kwesiri ha nʼihi ihe ọjọọ ndị a ha na-eme.
and likewise the men also, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lewdness one towards another; men with men committing indecency, and receiving in themselves the recompence of their delusion, which was meet.
And since they thought not fit to hold the Deity in acknowledgment, God abandoned them to a reprobate mind, to practise deeds unbecoming;
29 Ha jupụtara nʼajọ omume na mmehie niile, anya ukwu na aghụghọ. Ha jupụtakwara nʼekworo, na igbu mmadụ, na esemokwu, na uche gbagọrọ agbagọ na ịkpọ asị. Ha bụ ndị na-ekwu okwu azụ,
replete with all injustice, whoredom, wickedness, covetousness, villany; full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, evil habits; whisperers,
30 na ndị nkwutọ na ndị kpọrọ Chineke asị, na ndị na-akparị mmadụ na ndị mpako na ndị na-anya isi. Ha na-atụpụta ụzọ ọhụrụ ime ihe ọjọọ, ha adịghị asọpụrụ ndị mụrụ ha.
backbiters, God-haters, contumelious, insolent, boasters, inventors of wicked practices, disobedient to parents,
31 Ha bụkwa ndị na-enweghị nghọta, ndị na-enweghị okwukwe, ndị obi ọjọọ na ndị na-enweghị obi ebere.
unintelligent, unfaithful to engagements, unnatural, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Ha maa na Chineke nyere iwu dị ike na ndị na-ebi ndụ dị otu a kwesiri ọnwụ, ma ha gara nʼihu na-eme ihe ndị a, ma na-akwalịkwa mmụọ ndị ọzọ ka ha soro na-eme ha.
who, though they know the righteous judgment of God, that they who live in such practices are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also find pleasure in the company of those who live in these practices.
