< Mkpughe 5 >
1 Mgbe ahụ, ahụrụ m akwụkwọ e dere ihe ihu na azụ, nke a fụkọrọ afụkọ, kakwasịkwa ya akara asaa, ka ọ dị nʼaka nri onye ahụ nọkwasịrị nʼelu ocheeze ahụ.
Then I saw at the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a book, with writing inside and out, and sealed with seven seals;
2 Ahụkwara m otu mmụọ ozi dị ukwuu, ka ọ na-ekwusa okwu nʼoke olu na-asị, “Ọ bụ onye kwesiri ịnyakapụ akara ndị a ma saghee akwụkwọ ahụ a fụkọrọ afụkọ?”
and I saw a mighty angel who was proclaiming in a loud voice – “Who is worthy to open the book and break its seals?”
3 Ma ọ dịghị onye ọbụla pụrụ ịsaghe akwụkwọ ahụ maọbụ ilenye ya anya a hụrụ nʼeluigwe, maọbụ nʼụwa, maọbụ nʼokpuru ụwa.
But no one either in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the book or look within it.
4 Akwara m akwa nʼobi ilu nʼihi na ọ dịghị onye ọbụla a hụrụ tozuru oke ịsaghe akwụkwọ ahụ maọbụ ileba anya nʼime ya.
At this I wept long, because no one could be found who was worthy to open the book or look within it.
5 Mgbe ahụ, otu onye nʼime ndị okenye ahụ gwara m sị, “Akwala akwa. Lee, Ọdụm ebo Juda, bụ mgbọrọgwụ Devid, emeriela. Ọ pụrụ ịnyakapụ akara asaa ahụ ma saghekwaa akwụkwọ ahụ.”
But one of the elders said to me – “Do not weep. The Lion conquered – the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Scion of David – and can therefore open the book with its seven seals.”
Then, within the space between the throne and the four creatures, and in the midst of the elders, I saw, standing, a Lamb, which seemed to have been sacrificed. It had seven horns and seven eyes. (These eyes are the seven spirits of God, and they are sent into all the world.)
7 Ọ gara nʼihu were akwụkwọ ahụ site nʼaka nri onye ahụ na-anọkwasị nʼelu ocheeze ahụ.
The Lamb came forward; and he has taken the book from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne.
8 Mgbe ọ weere ya, anụ anọ ahụ dị ndụ na iri ndị okenye abụọ na anọ ndị ahụ dara nʼala nʼihu Nwa Atụrụ ahụ. Ha niile nʼotu nʼotu jikwa ụbọ akwara na efere e ji ọlaedo mee, nke ihe jupụtara nʼime ha bụ ụda na-esi isi ụtọ, bụ ekpere ndị nsọ.
And, when he had taken the book, the four creatures and the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before the Lamb, each of them holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense. (These are the prayers of Christ’s people.)
9 Ha na-abụ abụ ọhụrụ na-asị, “I kwesiri ịnara akwụkwọ ahụ na ịnyakapụ akara ya, nʼihi na e gburu gị, ma site nʼọbara gị, ị gbataara Chineke ndị mmadụ, ndị si nʼebo niile, na asụsụ niile, na ndị niile, na mba niile.
And they are singing a new song – “You are worthy to take the book and break its seals, for you were sacrificed, and with your blood you did buy for God people of every tribe, and language, and people, and nation,
10 Ị chịkọtaala ha, mee ha otu alaeze na ndị nchụaja na-ejere Chineke anyị ozi. Ha ga-achịkwa achị nʼụwa.”
and did make them a kingdom of priests in the service of our God, and they are reigning on the earth.”
11 Mgbe ahụ, elere m anya, hụ ma nụkwa olu nke ọtụtụ ndị mmụọ ozi, nke ọnụọgụgụ ha ruru puku kwụrụ puku, na nde kwụrụ nde. Ha gbara ocheeze ahụ gburugburu, na anụ anọ ahụ dị ndụ na ndị okenye ahụ.
Then, in my vision, I heard the voices of many angels round the throne, and of the creatures, and of the elders. In number they were ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands,
12 Ha na-abụ abụ nʼoke olu na-asị, “O kwesiri bụ Nwa Atụrụ ahụ e gburu egbu ịnara ike na akụnụba na amamihe na ike na nsọpụrụ na otuto na ngọzị.”
and they cried in a loud voice – “Worthy is the Lamb that was sacrificed to receive all power, and wealth, and wisdom, and might, and honour, and praise, and blessing.”
13 Mgbe ahụ, anụrụ m ka ihe niile nọ nʼeluigwe na ndị nọ nʼụwa na ndị nọ nʼokpuru ụwa, na ndị nọ nʼokpuru oke osimiri na-eti mkpu abụ na-asị, “Ka ngọzị, na nsọpụrụ niile, na otuto niile, na ike niile dịrị onye ahụ na-anọkwasị nʼocheeze ahụ, na Nwa Atụrụ ahụ (aiōn )
And I heard every created thing in the air, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is in them crying – “To him who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb be ascribed all blessing, and honour, and praise, and dominion for ever and ever.” (aiōn )
14 Anụ anọ ahụ dị ndụ zakwara sị, “Amen!” Ndị okenye ahụ dakwara nʼala nʼihu ya kpọọ isiala nye ya.
And the four creatures said “Amen,” and the elders prostrated themselves and worshiped.
