1 Ahụrụ m mmụọ ozi ọzọ dị oke egwu ka o si nʼeluigwe na-arịdata. Igwe ojii gbara ya gburugburu. Eke na egwurugwu dịkwa ya nʼisi. Ihu ya na-egbukwa maramara dịka anyanwụ. Ụkwụ ya na-acha dịka ogidi na-enwu ọkụ.
[In the vision] I saw another mighty angel that was coming down out of heaven. A cloud [surrounded him]. There was a rainbow over his head. His face [shone] [SIM] like the sun. His legs looked like pillars of fire.
2 O ji akwụkwọ ntakịrị a fụkọtara afụkọta nʼaka ya. Otu ụkwụ ya, nke aka nri ya, ka ọ zọnyere nʼime osimiri, ma ụkwụ nke aka ekpe ya ka ọ zọkwasịrị nʼelu ala.
He had in his hand a small scroll that was open. He set his right foot on the ocean and his left foot on the land.
3 O ji oke olu, nke dara ụda dịka ịgbọ ụja ọdụm, tie mkpu, egbe eluigwe asaa gbara otu mgbe ahụ.
He shouted something with a loud voice, a voice like the roar of a lion. When he shouted this, it thundered seven [times], speaking [words that I could understand].
4 Mgbe m chọrọ idetu ihe egbe eluigwe ndị a kwuru, anụrụ m otu olu si nʼeluigwe na-ekwu, “Edela ihe ahụ nʼakwụkwọ, nʼihi na-achọghị ka ndị ọzọ mata okwu ahụ egbe eluigwe ndị ahụ kwuru.”
When it thundered [like that], I was about to write [the words that I] heard, but a voice from heaven said to me, “Keep secret what the thunder said! Do not write it down!”
5 Mgbe ahụ, mmụọ ozi ahụ nke m hụrụ zọkwasịrị ụkwụ ya nʼelu osimiri, na nʼala akọrọ ahụ, chịlịri aka ya abụọ elu,
Then the angel whom I had seen standing on the ocean and the land raised his right hand toward heaven,
6 were onye ahụ na-adị ndụ mgbe niile ebighị ebi ṅụọ iyi.
and he asked the one who lives forever, the one who created heaven and everything that is in it, [who created] the earth and everything that is in it, and [who created] the ocean and everything that is in it, to affirm that what he said was true. [He said that he] would surely no longer delay [what he had planned to do]. (aiōn g165)
7 Nʼụbọchị ahụ, mgbe ndị mmụọ ozi asaa ahụ ga-afụ opi ike ha, ihe omimi niile nke Chineke ga-emezu, dịka ọ gwara ndị ohu ya bụ ndị amụma.
He said that when the time [came] for the seventh angel to blow his trumpet, [he] would complete what God had secretly planned, just like he announced [long ago] to his servants, the prophets.
8 Olu nke ahụ m nụrụ mbụ sitere nʼeluigwe gwa m okwu ọzọ, na-asị, “Gaa nara mmụọ ozi ahụ guzo nʼelu oke osimiri na ala akọrọ, akwụkwọ ahụ aseghere aseghe nke o ji nʼaka ya.”
The one whose voice I had heard from heaven spoke to me again. He said, “Go and take the open scroll from the hand of the angel who is standing on the ocean and on the land.”
9 Ejekwuru m mmụọ ozi ahụ gwa ya ka o nye m akwụkwọ nta ahụ. Ọ sịrị m, “Nara ya, taa ya. Ọ ga-eme ka afọ gị luo ilu, ma ‘nʼọnụ gị, ọ ga-atọ gị ụtọ dịka mmanụ aṅụ.’”
So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it. In your mouth it will [taste] sweet like honey, but it will make your stomach bitter.”
10 Ya mere, anaara m ya akwụkwọ nta ahụ site nʼaka mmụọ ozi ahụ taa ya. Ọ tọrọ ụtọ dịka mmanụ aṅụ nʼọnụ m, ma mgbe m lodara ya, afọ m bidoro ilu ilu.
I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. In my mouth it [tasted] sweet like honey, but when I had eaten it, [it] made my stomach turn sour.
11 Mgbe ahụ ha sịrị m, “Ị ghaghị ibu amụma ọzọ banyere ọtụtụ mmadụ, na ọtụtụ mba, na ọtụtụ asụsụ na ọtụtụ ndị eze.”
The one whose [voice spoke from heaven said to me], “You must (prophesy again/proclaim again what I will reveal to you) about many people-[groups], many nations, [speakers of] many languages [MTY], and many kings.”
