< Abụ Ọma 94 >
1 O Onyenwe anyị, Chineke onye na-abọ ọbọ, o Chineke, onye na-abọ ọbọ, zipụta onwe gị.
O God, of vengeance, Lord! O God of vengeance, shine forth.
2 Bilie, o Onye Ikpe nke ụwa; kwụghachi ndị nganga ụgwọ ọrụ ruuru ha.
Lift up thyself, O judge of the Earth! bring a recompense upon the proud.
3 Onyenwe anyị, ọ bụ ruo ole mgbe? Ọ bụ ruo ole mgbe ka ndị na-eme ajọ omume ga-anọgide na-aṅụrị ọṅụ?
How long shall the wicked, O Lord—how long shall the wicked exult?
4 Ha na-ekwuwapụ okwu mpako; ndị niile na-eme ajọ ihe jupụtara nʼitu ọnụ.
They sputter, they speak hard things: all the workers of wickedness boast themselves.
5 Ha na-azọpịa ndị gị, O Onyenwe anyị; ha na-emegbu ihe nketa gị.
Thy people, O Lord! they crush, and thy heritage they afflict.
6 Ha na-egbu ndị di ha nwụrụ na ndị ọbịa; ha na-egbu ndị na-enweghị nna.
The widow and the stranger they slay, and the fatherless they murder.
7 Ha na-asị, “Onyenwe anyị anaghị ahụ ihe ndị a; Chineke Jekọb na-agba nkịtị.”
And they say, The Lord will not see, and the God of Jacob will not take notice of it.
8 Lezienụ anya, unu ndị amamihe kọrọ nʼetiti ndị m; unu ndị nzuzu, olee mgbe unu ga-amụta ihe?
Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye become intelligent!
9 Ọ pụtara na onye kpụrụ ntị anaghị anụ ihe? Ọ pụtara na onye kere anya anaghị ahụ ụzọ?
He that hath planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that hath formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 Ọ pụtara na onye na-adọ mba niile aka na ntị agaghị ata ha ahụhụ? Ọ pụtara na onye na-ezi mmadụ ihe enweghị ihe ọmụma?
He that admonisheth nations, shall he not correct? is it not he that teacheth man knowledge!
11 Onyenwe anyị maara echiche obi mmadụ; ọ maara na ihe mmadụ na-eche nʼobi ya bụ naanị ihe na-enweghị isi.
The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are nought.
12 Onye a gọziri agọzi ka mmadụ ahụ bụ, onye ị na-adọ aka na ntị, O Onyenwe anyị, onye ahụ ị na-akụziri ihe site nʼiwu gị;
Happy is the man whom thou admonisheth, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law:
13 ị na-enye ya izuike site nʼụbọchị nsogbu; tutu ruo mgbe a ga-egwuru ndị ajọ omume olulu.
That thou mayest grant him repose from the days of evil, until the pot be dug for the wicked.
14 Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị agaghị ajụ ndị ya; ọ gaghị agbakụta ihe nketa ya azụ.
For the Lord will not cast off his people, and his inheritance will he not forsake.
15 Ezi omume ga-abụ ntọala ikpe ikpe niile; ndị niile ndị ziri ezi nʼobi ga-agbasokwa ya.
For unto righteousness will justice return; and it shall be followed by all the upright in heart.
16 Onye ga-ebiliri m imegide ndị ajọ omume? Onye ga-eguzo nʼọnọdụ m imegide ndị na-eme ajọ ihe?
Who will rise up for me against evil-doers? or who will stand forward for me against the workers of wickedness?
17 A sị na Onyenwe anyị abịaghị nyere m aka, agaara m rịị abụ onye nwụrụ anwụ.
Unless the Lord had been a help unto me, but a little would have been wanting that my soul had dwelt in the silence of death.
18 Mgbe m kwuru sị, “Ụkwụ m na-agbuchapụ,” ọ bụ ịhụnanya gị, O Onyenwe anyị, kwagidere m.
When I said, My foot hath slipped: thy kindness, O Lord, sustained me.
19 Mgbe oke nchekasị obi batara nʼime m, nkasiobi gị wetara mkpụrụobi m ọṅụ.
In the multitude of my [painful] thoughts within me, thy consolations delight my soul.
20 A ga-ejikọta gị na ocheeze ọchịchị ya rụrụ arụ, nke na-eweta mmekpa ahụ site nʼiwu ya?
Can there be associated with thee the throne of destructive wickedness, which frameth mischief as a law?
21 Ndị ajọ omume na-ejikọta onwe ha imegide ndị ezi omume na-amakwa ndị aka ha dị ọcha ikpe ọnwụ.
They band themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and innocent blood do they condemn.
22 Ma Onyenwe anyị a bụrụla ebe mgbaba e wusiri ike nye m, na Chineke m na oke nkume ebe m na-ezere ndụ.
But the Lord is become my defence, and my God, the rock of my refuge.
23 Ọ ga-akwụghachi ha ụgwọ ọrụ kwesiri mmehie ha, lakwaa ha nʼiyi nʼihi ajọ omume ha; Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị ga-ala ha nʼiyi.
And he will bring back upon them their own injustice, and in their own wickedness will he destroy them: [yea], he will destroy them—the Lord our God.
