< Abụ Ọma 92 >
1 Abụ Ọma. Abụ maka ụbọchị izuike. Ọ bụ ihe ziri ezi ito Onyenwe anyị, na iti egwu nye aha gị, gị Onye kachasị ihe niile elu,
Yahweh, it is good for people to thank you and to sing to praise you [MTY] who are greater than any other god.
2 ikwupụta ịhụnanya gị nʼụtụtụ, na ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị nʼabalị,
It is good to proclaim every morning that you faithfully love us, and each night [to sing songs that] declare that you always do what you have promised to do,
3 jiri ihe iti egwu ụbọ akwara na une bụọrọ gị abụ dị ụtọ.
accompanied by [musicians playing] harps that have ten strings, and by the sounds made by a lyre.
4 Nʼihi na ị na-eme ka obi dị m ụtọ, site nʼọrụ gị niile, o Onyenwe anyị, Ọ bụ ya mere m ji na-abụ abụ ọṅụ.
Yahweh, you have caused me to be glad; I sing joyfully because of what you [SYN] have done.
5 Lee ka ọrụ gị si dị ukwuu, Onyenwe anyị. Leekwa ụdị echiche miri emi ị na-eche.
Yahweh, the things that you do are great! But it is difficult for us to understand [all] that you think.
6 Ndị uche kọrọ amaghị nke a, ndị nzuzu enweghị nghọta,
There are things [that you do] that foolish people cannot know about, things that stupid people cannot understand.
7 ọ bụ ezie na ndị ajọ omume na-etopụta dịka ahịhịa ndị na-emekwa ajọ ihe na-eto na-awasa, a ga-ala ha nʼiyi ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
They do not understand that although the number of wicked [people] increases [like blades of] grass do [SIM], and they prosper, they will be completely destroyed.
8 Ma gị, O Onyenwe anyị, bụ onye e buliri elu ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
But Yahweh, you [will] exalted/be honored/rule) forever.
9 Nʼezie, ndị iro gị niile, Onyenwe anyị, e ndị iro gị niile ga-ala nʼiyi; ndị niile na-eme ajọ ihe ka a ga-achụsasị.
Yahweh, your enemies will [certainly] die, and those who do wicked things will be defeated/scattered.
10 I meela ka mpi m dị elu dịka oke ehi na-akpa ike; awụsala m mmanụ dị mma.
But you have caused me to be as strong [MTY] as [SIM] a wild ox; you have caused me to be very joyful [MTY].
11 Ejirila m anya m abụọ hụ ka e meriri ndị iro m; ejirila m ntị m nụ maka ịla nʼiyi nke ndị iro m afọ tara mmiri.
I [SYN] have seen you defeat my enemies; d I have heard those evil men wail/scream while they were being slaughtered.
12 Ma ndị ezi omume ga-awa igu dịka osisi nkwụ; ha ga-ebukwa ibu dịka osisi ukwu sida nke Lebanọn,
But righteous [people] will prosper like [SIM] palm trees that grow well, or like [SIM] cedar [trees] that grow in Lebanon.
13 nke a kụrụ nʼime ụlọ Onyenwe anyị, ha ga-eto, wasaakwa nʼime ogige Chineke anyị.
[They are like the trees] that grow near the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem], those trees that are close to the courtyard of the temple of our God.
14 Ha ga-amị mkpụrụ, ọ bụladị mgbe ha mere agadi. Ha ga-ejupụtakwa nʼahịhịa ndụ,
[Even] when righteous people become old, they do many things [IDM] [that please God]. They remain strong and full of energy, [like trees that] [MET] remain full of sap.
15 na-ekwupụta, “Onyenwe anyị bụ Onye ziri ezi; ọ bụ Oke Nkume m, ọ dịkwaghị ajọ omume dị nʼime ya.”
That shows that Yahweh is just; he is [like a huge] rock [under which I am safe/protected], and he never does anything that is wicked/wrong.
