< Abụ Ọma 90 >
1 Ekpere Mosis, bụ onyeozi Chineke. O Onyenwe anyị, ebe obibi ka gị onwe gị bụrịị nye anyị nʼọgbọ niile.
A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.
2 Tupu e kee ugwu niile, na tupu a kpụọ ụwa na elu ụwa, siterị na mgbe ebighị ebi ruo ebighị ebi, ị bụ Chineke.
Before the mountains were brought forth, and thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from eternity to eternity thou art God.
3 Ị na-eme ka mmadụ laghachi bụrụ aja mgbe i kwuru okwu sị, “Unu ụmụ mmadụ, laghachi bụrụ aja.”
Thou makest [mortal] man to return to dust, and sayest, Return, children of men.
4 Puku afọ dị nʼanya gị dịka otu ụbọchị; ha dịka ụnyaahụ gafere agafe maọbụ ka otu awa nke anyasị.
For a thousand years, in thy sight, are as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.
5 Nʼime ụra nke ọnwụ ka ị na-ekpochapụ mmadụ; ha dịka ahịhịa ọhụrụ nke na-epupụta nʼisi ụtụtụ,
Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are [as] a sleep: in the morning they are like grass [that] groweth up:
6 ọ bụ ezie na ọ na-agbawa ụzarị na-etokwa eto nʼụtụtụ, ma nʼanyasị, ọ na-akpọnwụ ma-achanwụkwaa.
In the morning it flourisheth and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down and withereth.
7 E meela ka anyị gwụsịa nʼihi oke iwe gị megide anyị; anyị na-amakwa jijiji nʼihi ọnụma gị.
For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy fury are we troubled.
8 Ị gbasaala njehie anyị niile nʼihu gị. Ị na-ahụzukwa mmehie nzuzo anyị niile.
Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.
9 Ogologo ụbọchị anyị niile na-agabiga nʼoke iwe gị; afọ ndụ anyị nke fọdụrụ ka anyị na-ebi dịka okwu e ji nwayọọ kwuo na mwute.
For all our days pass away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a [passing] thought.
10 Ogologo ụbọchị anyị niile nwere ike ruo afọ iri asaa, maọbụ afọ iri asatọ, ma ọ bụrụ na ike anyị adịgide, ma otu ọ dị, nke a ga-asị na ọ bụ ya kachasị mma na-ejupụta na nsogbu na ịsụ ude, nʼihi na ha na-agabiga ọsịịsọ, anyị onwe anyị na-efelakwa.
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if, by reason of strength, they be fourscore years, yet their pride is labour and vanity, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
11 Onye pụrụ ịghọta ịdị ike nke oke iwe gị? Nʼihi na oke iwe gị dị ukwuu dịka ịtụ egwu kwesiri gị si dị ukwuu.
Who knoweth the power of thine anger? and thy wrath according to the fear of thee?
12 Kuziere anyị ịgụ ụbọchị niile nke ndụ anyị ọnụ, ka anyị si otu a nweta obi amamihe jupụtara.
So teach [us] to number our days, that we may acquire a wise heart.
13 O Onyenwe anyị, nwee ntụgharị obi! Tutu ruo ole mgbe ka ọ ga-adị? Meere ndị ohu gị ebere.
Return, Jehovah: how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
14 Jiri ịhụnanya gị nke na-adịgide adịgide, mejupụta anyị nʼụtụtụ, ka anyị nwee ike ịbụ abụ ọṅụ ma nwekwaa obi ụtọ ogologo ụbọchị ndụ anyị niile.
Satisfy us early with thy loving-kindness; that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
15 Mee ka anyị nwee obi ụtọ, nke ọnụọgụgụ ụbọchị ya ga-adịkwa ka ọnụọgụgụ ụbọchị niile ị tara anyị ahụhụ, ka ọnụọgụgụ afọ ya dịkwa ka ọnụọgụgụ afọ niile anyị hụrụla nsogbu.
Make us glad according to the days [wherein] thou hast afflicted us, according to the years [wherein] we have seen evil.
16 Kwere ka ndị ohu gị hụ ọrụ gị dị iche iche, ka ụmụ ha hụkwa ịma mma gị.
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy majesty unto their sons.
17 Ka ihuọma Chineke, Onyenwe anyị dịkwasị anyị; mee ka ọrụ aka anyị guzosie ike, e, mee ka ọrụ aka anyị guzosie ike.
And let the beauty of Jehovah our God be upon us; and establish thou the work of our hands upon us: yea, the work of our hands, establish thou it.
