3 Nʼihi na ọtụtụ nsogbu ejupụtala mkpụrụobi m, anọ m nso nʼọnụ ụzọ ọnwụ. (Sheol )
For my soul, is sated with misfortunes, And, my life—unto Hades, hath drawn near; (Sheol )
4 Agụnyela m nʼetiti ndị na-arịda nʼolulu. Adị m dịka onye na-enweghị ike.
I am counted with them who descend into the pit, I have become as a man that is without help;
5 A họpụtara mụ na ndị nwụrụ anwụ iche, dịka ndị e gburu egbu na-edina nʼili, ndị ị nakwaghị echeta ọzọ, ndị e kewapụrụ site na nlekọta gị.
Among the dead, is my couch, —Like the slain that lie in the grave, Where thou rememberest them no more, Yea, they, from thy hand, are cut off;
6 Ị tụbanyela m nʼime olulu dịkarịrị omimi, olulu nke ọchịchịrị jupụtara nʼime ya.
Thou hast laid me, In the lowest pit, In dark places, In the deeps:
7 Oke iwe gị na-anyịgide m nke ukwuu; i jirila ebili mmiri gị niile kpuchigide m. (Sela)
Upon me, hath rested thine indignation, And, with all thy breakers, hast thou caused affliction. (Selah)
8 Ị napụla m ndị enyi m, ndị m hụrụ nʼanya, mee ka m bụrụ ihe a na-asọ oyi nʼebe ha nọ. Abụ m onye emechibidoro ụzọ; nke nʼenweghị ike ịpụ ezi;

Mine eye, hath dimmed through affliction; I have called upon thee, O Yahweh, all day long, I have spread out, unto thee, my hands.
10 ọ bụ ndị nwụrụ anwụ ka ị na-egosi ọrụ ebube gị? Ndị nwụrụ anwụ, ha na-ebili too gị? (Sela)
For the dead, wilt thou perform a wonder? Or shall, the shades, arising, give thee thanks? (Selah)
11 Ọ bụ nʼime ili ka a na-ekwupụta ịhụnanya gị? A na-ekwupụta ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị nʼebe ịla nʼiyi?
Shall Thy lovingkindness be recounted in the grave? Thy faithfulness, in destruction?
12 A na-amata banyere ọrụ ebube gị nʼebe ọchịchịrị dị? Ma ọ bụ ọrụ ezi omume gị, na ịdị mma gị niile nʼala ndị e chezọrọ echezọ?
Shall any wonder of thine, be known in the dark? Or, thy righteousness, in the land of forgetfulness?
13 Ma Onyenwe anyị m, ọ bụ gị ka m na-akpọku. Ụtụtụ niile ka ekpere m ga na-abịa nʼebe ị nọ.
But, I, unto thee, O Yahweh, have cried for help, And, in the morning, my prayer will confront thee!
14 O Onyenwe anyị, gịnị mere i jiri jụ m? Gịnị mekwara i jiri zonarị m ihu gị?
Wherefore, O Yahweh, shouldst thou reject my soul? shouldst thou hide thy face from me?
15 Site na mgbe okorobịa m, abụ m onye a na-esogbu, onye nọkwa ọnwụ nso; ataala m ahụhụ oke ụjọ gị, anọ m nʼọnọdụ ịda mba.
Afflicted have I been, and dying, from youth, I have borne the terror of thee—I shall be distracted!
16 Oke iwe gị agabigala nʼahụ m; ihe egwu gị alaala m nʼiyi.
Over me, have passed thy bursts of burning anger, The alarms of thee have put an end to me;
17 Ha na-agba m gburugburu ụbọchị niile dịka idee mmiri; ha gbara m gburugburu nʼakụkụ niile.
They have surrounded me like waters, all the day, They have come circling against me together:
18 Ị napụla m ndị enyi m na ndị m hụrụ nʼanya; ọchịchịrị bụ enyi m nọkarịsịrị m nso.
Thou hast far removed from me, lover and friend, Mine acquaintances, are in darkness.
