< Abụ Ọma 83 >
1 Abụ, bụ Abụ Ọma Asaf. O! Chineke agbachikwala nkịtị. Biko, Chineke, ahapụkwala ikwu okwu, anọkwala jụụ.
A Song, a Melody of Asaph. O God, Do not keep quiet, Do not hold thy peace, Neither be thou still, O GOD!
2 Lee na ndị iro gị nọ na-ebigbọ, ndị kpọrọ gị asị na-eweli isi ha.
For lo! thine enemies, are tumultuous, And, they who hate thee, have lifted up the head;
3 Ha ji aghụghọ na-agba izu imegide ndị gị; ha na-atụ atụmatụ ọjọọ megide ndị ị hụrụ nʼanya.
Against thy people, they craftily devise a secret plot, And conspire against thy treasured ones.
4 Ha na-asị, “Bịanụ ka anyị laa mba a nʼiyi, ka a ghara ichetakwa aha Izrel ọzọ.”
They have said—Come, and let us wipe them out from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.
5 Ha ji otu obi na-agbarịta izu; ha agbaala ndụ imegide gị,
For they have taken counsel with one heart, Against thee—a covenant, would they solemnize—
6 ụlọ ikwu niile nke ndị Edọm, na ndị Ishmel, na ndị Moab, na ndị Haga,
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagarenes;
7 na ndị Gebal, na ndị Amọn, na ndị Amalek, na ndị Filistia, ha na ndị Taịa.
Gebal and Ammon, and Amalek, The Philistines, with the dwellers in Tyre;
8 Ọ bụladị ndị Asịrịa esorokwala ha, ịgba ndị agbụrụ Lọt ume. (Sela)
Even Assyria hath joined herself with them, They have become an arm to the sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Mee ha dịka i si mee ndị Midia, na dịka i mere Sisera na Jabin, nʼakụkụ iyi Kishọn,
Make them like Midian, like Sisera, like Jabin, by the torrent of Kishon;
10 ndị lara nʼiyi nʼEndoa ma ghọọ ihe dịka nsị anụ e kpofuru ekpofu nʼala.
They perished at En-dor, They become manure for the soil!
11 Mee ka ndị ọgaranya ha dịka Oreb na Zeeb, ka ụmụ ndị ikom eze ha niile dịka Zeba na Zalmuna,
Make them—their nobles—like Oreb and like Zeeb, And, like Zebah and like Zalmunna, all their princes:
12 ndị sịrị, “Ka anyị nwetara onwe anyị, ebe ịta nri ụmụ anụmanụ niile nke Chineke.”
Who said—Let us take a possession for ourselves, The pastures of God!
13 O Chineke m, mee ha ka dịka ahịhịa ifufe na-efegharị gburugburu, maọbụ dịka igbugbo ọka nʼebe ifufe dị.
O my God, make them, As whirling [dust], As chaff before a wind;
14 Dịka ọkụ na-erepịa oke ọhịa, maọbụ nke na-ere nʼelu ugwu,
As a fire burneth a forest, —And as a flame setteth mountains ablaze,
15 si otu a were oke ifufe chụọ ha ọsọ, jiri oke ifufe nke na-eso mmiri ozuzo mee ka ha nọrọ nʼọnọdụ obi ọlụlọ mmiri.
So, wilt thou pursue them with thy tempest, —And, with thy storm-wind, wilt terrify them:
16 Were ihere kpuchie ha ihu, ka ndị mmadụ si otu a chọọ aha gị, O Onyenwe anyị.
Fill thou their faces with dishonour, That men may seek thy Name, O Yahweh;
17 Ka ha nọdụ nʼọnọdụ ihere na ịda mba mgbe niile; ka ha laa nʼiyi nʼọnọdụ mweda nʼala.
Let them turn pale, and be terrified to futurity, Yea let them blush, and perish:
18 Mee ka ha mata na gị, onye aha ya bụ Onyenwe anyị, na ọ bụ naanị gị bụ Onye kachasị ihe niile elu nʼụwa niile.
That men may know that, thou, Whose Name alone is Yahweh, Art Most High over all the earth.
