< Abụ Ọma 82 >
1 Abụ Ọma Asaf. Chineke na-ewere ọnọdụ ịchị isi nʼetiti ọgbakọ dị ukwuu; ọ na-ekpebi ikpe nʼetiti chi niile.
A Melody of Asaph. God, hath taken his place in the august assembly, In the midst of the gods, will he judge.
2 Ruo ole mgbe ka unu ga-anọgide na-ekpe ikpe na-ezighị ezi? Ruo ole mgbe ka unu ga na-egosi ndị ajọ omume ihuọma? (Sela)
How long will ye judge perversely, And, the countenances of the lawless, uplift? (Selah)
3 Kperenụ ndị na-adịghị ike na ndị na-enweghị nna ikpe ziri ezi; hụnụ na ndị ogbenye na ndị a na-emegbu nwetara ihe ruuru ha.
Vindicate the weak and the fatherless, The oppressed and the poor, see righted;
4 Gbapụtanụ ndị na-adịghị ike na ndị nọ na mkpa; napụta ha site nʼaka ndị ajọ omume.
Deliver the weak and the needy, Out of the hand of the lawless, make rescue.
5 Ha amaghị ihe ọbụla, ha aghọtaghị ihe ọbụla. Ha na-ejegharị nʼọchịchịrị; ntọala niile nke ụwa na-ama jijiji.
They know not, neither can they perceive, In darkness, they wander, All the foundations of the earth do shake.
6 “Asịrị m, ‘Unu bụ “chi,” unu niile bụ ụmụ ndị ikom nke Onye kachasị ihe niile elu.’
I, said, Gods, ye are, Yea, sons of the Highest, are ye all;
7 Ma unu ga-anwụ ọnwụ dịka mmadụ ndị ọzọ; unu ga-ada dịka ndị ọchịchị ọzọ.”
But indeed, like the earth-born, shall ye die! And, like one of the princes, shall ye fall!
8 O Chineke, bilie kpee ụwa ikpe, nʼihi na mba niile bụ ihe nketa gị.
Arise! O God, judge thou the earth, For, thou, wilt inherit all the nations.
