1 Abụ Ọma dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Ọma Devid nʼusoro gittit. O Onyenwe anyị Onyenwe anyị, lee ka ịdị ukwuu nke aha gị si jupụta ụwa niile! I meela ka ebube gị dị elu nʼime eluigwe.

For the end, concerning the wine-presses, a Psalm of David. O Lord, our Lord, how wonderful is thy name in all the earth! for thy magnificence is exalted above the heavens.

2 Site nʼotuto ụmụntakịrị na ụmụ na-aṅụ ara, ị tọọla ntọala siri ike megide ndị iro gị, ka e si otu a mechie ọnụ onye iro na onye ahụ na-abọ ọbọ.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou perfected praise, because of thine enemies; that thou mightest put down the enemy and avenger.

3 Mgbe ọbụla m lere anya na mbara eluigwe, hụ ọrụ niile nke aka gị rụrụ, mgbe m lere anya nʼelu hụ ọnwa na kpakpando i tinyere nʼọnọdụ ha,

For I will regard the heavens, the work of thy fingers; the moon and stars, which thou hast established.

4 gịnị ka mmadụ bụ i ji na-eche banyere ha? Gịnịkwa ka mmadụ bụ iji na-elekọta ha?

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 I mere ka ha dị ala nwantakịrị nʼebe ndị mmụọ ozi nọ, I jikwa ebube na nsọpụrụ kpube ya nʼisi dịka okpueze.

Thou madest him a little less than angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour;

6 I mekwaala ya ka ọ bụrụ onyeisi nke ihe niile i kere eke, tinyekwa ihe niile nʼokpuru ụkwụ ya.

and thou hast set him over the works of thy hands: thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 Ọ na-achị igwe ewu na atụrụ, na ehi, na ụmụ anụ ọhịa ndị ọzọ niile,

sheep and all oxen, yea and the cattle of the field;

8 na nnụnụ niile, na azụ niile, na anụ ndị ọzọ na-ebi nʼime mmiri.

the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea, the [creatures] passing through the paths of the sea.

9 O Onyenwe anyị, Onyenwe anyị, lee ka ịdị ukwuu nke aha gị si jupụta ụwa niile.

O Lord our Lord, how wonderful is thy name in all the earth!
