< Abụ Ọma 74 >
1 Abụ maskil nke Asaf. Chineke, gịnị mere i ji jụ anyị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi? Gịnị mere iwe gị ji akwụ anwụrụ megide igwe atụrụ ndị ị na-azụ?
A psalm (maskil) of Asaph. God, why have you rejected us? Is it forever? Why does your anger burn so hot against the sheep of your own field?
2 Cheta mba ahụ nke ị zụtara na mgbe ochie, ebo ahụ bụ ihe nketa gị, ndị ị gbapụtara, nʼugwu Zayọn ebe i biri.
Remember the people you made your own long ago, the tribe you redeemed and made your own. Remember too Mount Zion, the place where you live.
3 Tụgharịa nzọ ụkwụ gị bịa na mbibi ebighị ebi ndị a. Ọ bụ onye iro wetara ịla nʼiyi a niile nʼụlọnsọ a.
Come and walk through the complete devastation. The enemy has totally destroyed your Temple.
4 Ndị iro gị gbọrọ ụja nʼebe i zutere anyị. Ha weliri ọkọlọtọ ha dịka ihe ịrịbama.
The enemy shouted in triumph right where you met with us. There they set up their war banners as signs of their victory.
5 Ha kpara agwa dịka ndị ikom ji anyụike ha ga-eji gbutuo ọtụtụ osisi dị nʼoke ọhịa.
They acted like men chopping down a forest with axes.
6 Ha ji anyụike na egbugbu ha kụjisie ihe niile eji amachi ihe bụ nke egbunyere ihe.
With axes and hammers they smashed in the carved wooden panels.
7 Ha kpọkwara ụlọnsọ gị ọkụ, mee ya ka o repịa. Ha merụrụ ụlọ obibi ahụ a kpọkwasịrị aha gị.
Then they set fire to your Temple, burning it to the ground. They defiled the place where you live, the place that bears your name.
8 Ha sịrị nʼobi ha, “Anyị ga-etipịa ha kpamkpam!” Ha kpọrọ ebe niile a na-anọ efe Chineke nʼala a ọkụ.
They said to themselves, “Let's destroy it all!” So they burned down every place where God was worshiped throughout the land.
9 Enyeghị anyị ihe ịrịbama ọbụla site nʼaka Chineke. Ọ dịkwaghị ndị amụma fọdụrụ. Ọ dịkwaghị onye ọbụla nʼetiti anyị onye maara, mgbe ihe a ga-agwụ.
We no longer see any signs. There are no prophets left. And no one among us knows how long this will last.
10 O Chineke, ruo ole mgbe ka ndị iro ga-anọgide na-achị gị ọchị? Onye iro, ọ ga-eleli aha gị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi?
How long will the enemy ridicule you, God? Will they insult your character forever?
11 Gịnị mere ị na-eseghachi aka gị azụ, e aka nri gị? Sepụta aka gị laa ha nʼiyi!
Why do you hold back from doing something? Take action and destroy them!
12 Ma gị, O Chineke, bụrịị eze m site na mgbe ochie. Ọ bụ gị na-arụpụta nzọpụta nʼelu ụwa.
But you, God, are our king from long ago. You have saved us many times in the land.
13 Site nʼike gị dị ukwuu i mere ka osimiri kewaa abụọ. Ọ bụ gị gwepịara isi anụ ọjọọ ahụ nʼime mmiri.
You were the one who split apart the sea by your strength; you broke the heads of the sea monsters.
14 Ọ bụ gị gwepịara isi anụ ọjọọ ahụ a na-akpọ leviatan, mee ka ọ ghọọ nri nye ụmụ anụmanụ bi nʼọzara.
You were the one who crushed the heads of Leviathan, and you gave its body to the desert animals to eat.
15 Ọ bụ gị mere ka isi iyi na mmiri iyi na-asọ. I mere ka osimiri na-eru eru mgbe niile taa.
You were the one who made springs and rivers flow with water. You made permanent rivers dry up.
16 Ehihie na abalị bụ nke gị. I mere ka anyanwụ na ọnwa guzosie ike.
You created the day, and also the night; you made the moon and the sun.
17 Ọ bụ gị kewapụtara oke ala niile nke ụwa. Ọ bụ gị mere ka ọkọchị na udu mmiri dị.
You set the boundaries of the earth; you made summer and winter.
18 O Onyenwe anyị, cheta otu onye iro si chịa gị ọchị, na otu ndị nzuzu si kwaa aha gị emo.
So keep in mind how the enemy ridiculed you, Lord, and how irreverent people insulted your reputation.
19 Ewerala ndụ nduru gị nyefee anụ ọhịa ọjọọ nʼaka. Echefukwala ndụ ndị gị a na-akpagbu ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
Don't let wild animals kill your turtledoves! Don't abandon your people forever!
20 Chetakwa ọgbụgba ndụ gị, nʼihi na ihe ike na-ejupụta ebe niile gbara ọchịchịrị nʼala a.
Remember your promises in the agreement, because the land is full of dark places and violence.
21 Ekwela ka ndị a na-akpagbu gbaghachi azụ nʼihere; ka ndị ogbenye na ndị nọ na mkpa too aha gị.
Don't let those who suffer be mistreated again. Let the poor and needy praise you for you who are.
22 O Chineke, bilie, kpechitara onwe gị ikpe. Chetakwa otu ndị nzuzu si kọọ gị ọnụ ogologo ụbọchị niile.
Stand up, God, and plead your case. Don't forget how these foolish people insulted you all the time.
23 Elepụla mkpọtụ nke ndị iro gị niile anya, olu mkpọtụ nke ndị iro gị na-aga nʼihu na-ala elu.
Don't ignore what your enemies have said, for their loud accusations against you are getting worse and worse!
