< Abụ Ọma 7 >
1 Abụ Shiggaion nke Devid, nke ọ bụkuru Onyenwe anyị banyere Kush, onye Benjamin. Onyenwe anyị Chineke m, nʼime gị ka m gbabara; zọpụta m, ma napụta m site nʼaka ndị niile na-achụ m ọsọ,
Yahweh my God, I come to you to protect me. Rescue me, save me from all those who are pursuing me [in order to harm me].
2 ma ọ bụ ha adọkaa m dịka ọdụm, ha ga-adọsasịkwa m ebe mmadụ ọbụla enweghị ike ịnapụta m.
If you do not do that, they will tear me into pieces like a lion does [when it attacks the animals it wants to kill], and no one will save me [from them].
3 O Onyenwe anyị Chineke m, ọ bụrụ na m mere ihe dị otu a; ọ bụrụkwa na aka m adịghị ọcha.
Yahweh my God, if I have done anything that is wrong,
4 Ọ bụrụ na m jiri ihe ọjọọ kwụghachi onye mụ na ya nọ nʼudo ụgwọ, maọbụ site nʼụzọ na-ezighị ezi zuo ihe onye iro m.
if I have done evil to some friend who did good things to me, or if, for no good reason, I have spared (OR, acted violently toward) those who were my enemies,
5 Mgbe ahụ, ka onye iro m chụọ m ọsọ, jide m; ka ọ tụọ m nʼala zọpịa ndụ m, mee ka m bụrụ onye a ga-ahapụ nʼuzuzu nʼọnọdụ ọdịndụ-ọnwụkamma. (Sela)
allow my enemies to pursue me and capture me. Allow them to trample me into the ground and leave me [SYN] [lying dead] in the dirt.
6 Bilie, Onyenwe anyị, nʼiwe gị, bilie megide oke iwe ndị iro m; teta Chineke m, kpee ikpe ziri ezi.
But Yahweh, because you are [very] angry [with those who pursue me], arise and attack/defeat my enemies who are furiously/angrily [attacking me] Do to them what is just!
7 Ka nzukọ niile chịkọtara onwe ha ọnụ gbaa gị gburugburu, ebe ị na-anọkwasịkwa nʼebe dị elu na-achị ha.
Gather around you the people of [all] nations, and rule them from where you are in heaven [MTY].
8 Ka Onyenwe anyị kpee ụmụ mmadụ niile ikpe. Kpee m ikpe, O Onyenwe anyị, dịka ezi omume m si dị, na dịka izuoke m si dị, gị Onye kachasị ihe niile elu.
Yahweh, judge the people of [all] nations! And, Yahweh, show that I have done nothing that is wrong.
9 O Chineke onye ezi omume, onye na-enyochapụta echiche na obi mmadụ, mee ka ihe ike ndị ajọ omume bịa na njedebe meekwa ka ndị ezi omume guzosie ike.
God, you know what every person is thinking, and because you are righteous, you [always] do what is just/right. [So now] stop evil people from doing wicked [deeds], and defend [all of us who are] righteous!
10 Chineke nke kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ ọta m, ọ na-azọpụta ndị niile obi ha ziri ezi.
God, you protect me like a shield [protects soldiers] [MET]; you protect all those who are righteous in their inner being.
11 Chineke bụ onye na-ekpe ikpe ziri ezi, Chineke, onye na-ezipụta oke iwe ya kwa ụbọchị.
You judge [everyone] correctly, and every day you punish [wicked people].
12 Ọ bụrụ na onye ahụ echegharịghị, ọ ga-amụ mma agha ya ka ọ dịrị nkọ, ọ ga-arọgọ ụta ya, kwadokwa ịgba ya.
Whenever your enemies do not (repent/change their behavior), [it is as though] [MET] you sharpen your sword and put a string on your bow [to get ready to kill them].
13 Ọ kwadoola ngwa agha niile nke ọnwụ; ọ na-eme ka àkụ ya bụrụ nke na-ere ọkụ.
You are preparing your weapons that kill those whom they strike; the arrows that you will shoot have flaming tips.
14 Onye ọbụla dị ime ajọ ihe, na-atụrụ ime okwu na ụka mụpụtakwa ngharịpụ nke ụgha na-eweta.
Wicked people tell lies, and they think that they surely will be able to do [MET] the evil things that they are planning to do [just as surely as] a pregnant woman [knows that she is going to give birth to a child] [MET].
15 Ma onye ahụ na-egwu olulu na-adaba nʼime olulu ahụ o gwuru.
But when they dig a deep pit [to trap others], they themselves will fall into it.
16 Nsogbu ahụ ọ kpaliri na-abịakwasị ya ihe ike ahụ ọ kwadooro na-alaghachikwa azụ dakwasị ya nʼisi.
They themselves will experience the trouble that they want to cause others to have; they will hurt themselves by the violent things that they want to do to others.
17 Aga m enye Onyenwe anyị ekele nʼihi ezi omume ya, aga m abụku aha Onyenwe anyị, Onye kachasị ihe niile elu abụ otuto.
I praise Yahweh because he [always acts] righteously/justly; I sing to praise Yahweh, the one who is much greater than any other god.
