1 Abụ Ọma dịrị onyeisi abụ. Eji olu abụ “Okoko Lili.” Abụ Devid. O Chineke, zọpụta m, nʼihi na mmiri abịaruola m nʼolu.
For the leader. On shoshannim. Of David. Save me, O God; for the waters are threatening my life.
2 Ana m emikpu nʼụrụrọ ebe dị omimi, e nwekwaghị ebe ịzọkwasị ụkwụ dị. Abịala m nʼebe mmiri dị omimi; uju mmiri na-achọkwa ikpuchigide m.
I am sunk in depths of mire, where ground there is none. I am come into deep deep waters, the flood overwhelms me.
3 Akpịrị akpọọla m nkụ; ike agwụla m ebe m na-akpọ oku maka enyemaka. Anya m agbaala ọchịchịrị ebe m na-ele anya Chineke.
I am weary of crying, my throat is parched, my eyes are wasted with waiting for God.
4 Ndị kpọrọ m asị nʼefu dị ukwuu karịa agịrị isi dị m nʼisi. Ndị na-achọ ịla ndụ m nʼiyi dị ukwuu, bụ ndị họọrọ ịbụ ndị iro m, mgbe ọ na-adịghị ihe ọbụla m mere ha. Ha nọgidesịrị m ike mee ka m nyeghachi ihe m na-ezughị nʼohi.
More than the hairs of my head are those who wantonly hate me. More than my bones in number are those who are falsely my foes. That which I never robbed, how am I then to restore?
5 Gị, Chineke, ị maara enweghị uche m niile; ikpe ọmụma m abụghị ihe zoro ezo nʼihu gị.
O God, you know my folly, my guilt is not hidden from you.
6 Ekwela ka ihere mee ndị na-atụkwasị gị obi nʼihi m, O Onyenwe m, Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile; ka ndị na-achọ gị ghara ịbụ ndị a ga-eme ihe ihere nʼihi m, O Chineke nke Izrel.
Through me let not any be shamed, who wait for you, Lord God of hosts. Through me let not those be confounded who seek you, O God of Israel.
7 Ọ bụ nʼihi gị ka m na-anagide ịkwa emo, ihere ekpuchiela m ihu.
It’s in your cause that I have borne taunts, and my face has been covered with shame;
8 Abụ m ọbịa nʼebe ụmụnna m nọ, nʼebe ụmụnne nọ, abụ m onye mba ọzọ.
I became to my kindred a foreigner, to my mother’s sons a stranger.
9 Nʼihi na ihe gbasara ụlọ gị na-anụ m ọkụ nʼobi, ịta ụta niile nke ndị na-akparị gị adakwasịla m.
It was zeal for your house that consumed me, and the insults they hurled at you fell upon me.
10 Mgbe m na-ebe akwa na-ebukwa ọnụ, ha kparịrị m nʼihi na m na-eme nke a.
When I chastened myself with fasting, they took occasion to taunt me.
11 Mgbe m yikwasịrị uwe iru ụjụ m, a ghọrọ m ihe ha ji eme ihe ọchị.
When I put on a garment of sackcloth, they made me the theme of a taunt-song.
12 Ndị na-anọ ọnọdụ ala nʼọnụ ụzọ ama, na-akwa m emo, na-akọ m ọnụ, abụ m isi abụ nke ndị na-aṅụbiga mmanya oke na-abụ.
Those who sit in the gate make sport of me in the music of drunken songs.
13 O Onyenwe anyị, ana m akpọku gị nʼekpere, nʼoge ihuọma gị; na oke ịhụnanya gị, O Chineke m, zaa m nʼeziokwu nke nzọpụta gị.
But I pray to you, Lord, for a time of favor. In your great love answer me; with your loyal help, save me
14 Dọpụta m site nʼụrụrọ, ekwela ka m mikpuo; zọpụta m site nʼaka ndị kpọrọ m asị, site na mmiri miri emi.
from sinking down in the mire. Lift me out of the deep deep waters,
15 Ekwela ka uju mmiri kpuchie m, maọbụ ka ebe dị omimi loda m, ma ọ bụkwanụ ka olulu lomie m, kpuchie m nʼime ọnụ ya.
that the rushing flood may not drown me, that the deep may not swallow me up, nor the pit close her mouth upon me.
16 O Onyenwe anyị, zaa m, site nʼịdị mma nke ịhụnanya gị, nʼime ịdị ukwuu nke oke ebere gị, chee m ihu.
Answer me, Lord, in your gracious kindness, turn to me in your great compassion.
17 Ezonarịla mụ bụ ohu gị ihu gị. Anọ m na nsogbu, mee ngwangwa zaa m!
Hide not your face from your servant, for I am in trouble; O answer me speedily.
18 Bịa m nso zọpụta m. Gbapụta m site nʼaka ndị iro m.
Draw near to me, redeem me; because of my enemies, ransom me.
19 Ị maara ihe niile banyere ihe ọchị ha ji m mee, mweda nʼala m na ihe ihere: ndị iro m niile nọkwa gị nʼihu.
You know how I am insulted; in your sight are all my foes.
20 Ọchị ha na-achị m etiwaala m obi, ma hapụ m nʼọnọdụ enweghị inyeaka. Elere m anya onye ga-emere m ebere, ma ọ dịghị onye ọbụla m hụrụ; lee anya ndị ga-akasị m obi, ma ọ dịkwaghị onye m chọtara.
Insult has broken my heart, past cure are my shame and confusion. For pity I looked – there was none! And for comforters, but I found none.
21 Ha tinyere oluilu nʼime nri m, nyekwa m mmanya gbara ụka ka m ṅụọ.
Poison they gave me for food, and to slake my thirst they gave vinegar.
22 Ka tebul e debere nʼihu ha ghọrọ ha ọnya; ka ọ bụrụ ha ihe ịbọ ọbọ mgbe ha nọ nʼudo ya ghọrọ ha ọnya igbudu.
May their table, outspread, be a trap to them, and their peace-offerings be a snare.
23 Ka anya ha gbaa ọchịchịrị, ka ha gharakwa ịhụ ụzọ ọzọ, mekwa ka ụkwụ ha na-ama jijiji mgbe niile.
May their eyes be darkened and blind, make them shake without ceasing.
24 Wụkwasị ha oke iwe gị, ka iwe gị dị ọkụ zute ha.
Pour your indignation upon them, let your burning wrath overtake them.
25 Ka ebe obibi ha tọgbọrọ nʼefu, ka mmadụ ọbụla gharakwa ibi nʼime ụlọ ikwu ha.
May their camp be a desolation, in their tents be there none to live.
26 Ha na-akpagbu ndị ahụ i merụrụ ahụ, na-ekwukwa banyere ihe mgbu ndị ahụ i kwohịara ahụ.
For those whom you struck, they persecute, and those whom you wounded, they pain yet more.
27 Boo ha ebubo ajọ omume tụkwasị nʼelu ajọ omume, ekwekwala ka ha keta oke na ezi omume gị.
Charge them with sin upon sin, may they not be acquitted by you.
28 Mee ka e hichapụ aha ha site nʼakwụkwọ nke ndụ, ka a hapụ idekọta aha ha na nke ndị ezi omume.
From the book of life be they blotted, may their names not be written with the righteous.
29 Anọ m nʼụfụ na ihe mgbu, O Chineke, mee ka nzọpụta gị kpuchie m.
Lift me, O God, by your help above my pain and misery.
30 Aga m eji ịbụ abụ too aha Chineke, jirikwa ekele bulie ya elu.
Then will I praise God in song and magnify him with thanksgiving,
31 Nke a ga-atọ Onyenwe anyị ụtọ karịa oke ehi, karịa oke ehi, nke mpi ya na ụkwụ ya ka dị.
which shall please the Lord better than ox, or than bullock with horns and hoofs.
32 Ndị ogbenye ga-ahụ ya ma ṅụrịakwa ọṅụ; unu ndị na-achọ Chineke, ka obi unu na-adị ndụ.
The oppressed shall rejoice at the sight. You who seek after God, let your heart revive.
33 Onyenwe anyị na-anụ ekpere ndị nọ na mkpa, ọ naghị eledakwa ndị ya a dọtara nʼagha anya.
For the Lord listens to the poor, he does not despise his prisoners.
34 Ka eluigwe na ụwa too ya, osimiri niile na ihe niile bi nʼime ha.
Let the heavens and the earth sing his praises, the seas, and all creatures that move in them.
35 Nʼihi na Chineke ga-azọpụta Zayọn; ọ ga-ewugharị obodo niile nke Juda. Mgbe ahụ, ndị mmadụ ga-ebi nʼime ya, mee ya ihe nweta ha.
For God will bring help to Zion, and build up the cities of Judah, his people shall live there in possession.
36 Ụmụ ndị na-ejere ya ozi ga-eketa ya, ndị hụrụ aha ya nʼanya ga-ebikwa ebe ahụ nʼime ya.
His servants’ children shall have it for heritage, and those who love him shall live therein.
