Abụ Ọma 61

1 Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ ọma Devid nke eji ụbọ akwara akpọ. Nụrụ akwa m, O Chineke, gee ntị nʼekpere m.

To the chief Musician. On a stringed instrument. [A Psalm] of David. Hear, O God, my cry; attend unto my prayer.

2 Ana m akpọku gị site na nsọtụ nke ụwa, ana m akpọku gị mgbe obi m na-ada mba; duru m gaa nʼoke nkume ahụ nke karịrị m elu.

From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: thou wilt lead me on to a rock which is too high for me.

3 Nʼihi na ị bụrịị ebe mgbaba m, na ụlọ ahụ dịkarịrị elu, sie ike imegide onye iro ahụ.

For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from before the enemy.

4 Ọ na-agụ m ibi nʼụlọ ikwu gị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, ka m gbaba, zere ndụ nʼokpuru nku gị abụọ. (Sela)

I will sojourn in thy tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. (Selah)

5 Nʼihi na gị onwe gị, Chineke, anụla nkwa niile m kwere; i nyela m ihe nketa nke ndị na-atụ egwu aha gị.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows; thou hast given [me] the inheritance of those that fear thy name.

6 Tụkwasị ọtụtụ ụbọchị na ndụ eze, mee ka afọ ya ruo ọtụtụ ọgbọ.

Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years shall be as many generations.

7 Kwere ka ọ nọrọ nʼocheeze nʼihu Chineke ruo mgbe ebighị ebi; zidata ịhụnanya gị na ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị, ka ha na-echezikwa ya.

He shall abide before God for ever: bestow loving-kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

8 Mgbe ahụ, aga m abụ abụ otuto nye aha gị, ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Aga m emezukwa nkwa m kwere gị ụbọchị niile.

So will I sing forth thy name for ever, performing my vows from day to day.
