1 Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi Abụ. Ọ bụ olu abụ eji ekwe “Okoko lili nke Ọgbụgba Ndụ.” Abụ miktam nke Devid maka izi ihe. Mgbe ọ lụsoro Aram Naharaim na Aram Zoba ọgụ, nakwa mgbe Joab lọghachitara, tigbuo narị ndị Edọm iri nʼabụọ na Ndagwurugwu Nnu. O Chineke, ị jụla anyị, ị tịwawo anyị nʼike; i wesola anyị iwe, ugbu a, kpọghachi anyị.
TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “LILY OF TESTIMONY.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, TO TEACH, IN HIS STRIVING WITH ARAM-NAHARAIM AND WITH ARAM-ZOBAH, WHEN JOAB TURNS BACK AND STRIKES EDOM IN THE VALLEY OF SALT—TWELVE THOUSAND. O God, You had cast us off, You had broken us—had been angry! You turn back to us.
2 I meela ka ala a maa jijiji, ị dọwakwala ya; mezie ntiwa ya niile, nʼihi na ọ na-ama jijiji.
You have caused the land to tremble, You have broken it, Heal its breaches, for it has moved.
3 I meela ka ndị gị gabiga ọnọdụ ihe isi ike; i nyela anyị mmanya nke mere ka anyị na-adagharị.
You have shown Your people a hard thing, You have caused us to drink wine of trembling.
4 Ma nye ndị na-atụ egwu gị, i weliela otu ọkọlọtọ nke a ga-agbasa nʼihi eziokwu imegide ụta nke ndị iro. (Sela)
You have given an ensign to those fearing You, To be lifted up as an ensign Because of truth. (Selah)
5 Were aka nri gị zọpụta anyị ma nyere anyị aka, ka a gbapụta ndị ị hụrụ nʼanya.
That Your beloved ones may be drawn out, Save [with] Your right hand, and answer us.
6 Chineke esitela nʼịdị nsọ ya kwuo, sị, “Nʼọnọdụ ọṅụ nke mmeri, aga m ekesa Shekem, tụkwaa Ndagwurugwu Sukọt nʼihe ọtụtụ nyepụ ya.
God has spoken in His holiness: I exult—I apportion Shechem, And I measure the Valley of Succoth,
7 Gilead bụ nke m, otu a kwa, Manase bụkwa nke m; Ifrem bụ okpu igwe m, Juda bụ mkpara eze m.
Gilead [is] Mine, and Manasseh [is] Mine, And Ephraim [is] the strength of My head, Judah [is] My lawgiver,
8 Moab bụ efere ịkwọ aka m, aga m atụsa akpụkpọụkwụ m nʼelu Edọm; nʼelu isi Filistia, ana m eti mkpu mmeri.”
Moab [is] My pot for washing, Over Edom I cast My shoe, Shout, concerning Me, O Philistia.
9 Onye ga-akpọrọ m gaa nʼobodo e wusiri ike? Onye ga-edu m gaa Edọm?
Who brings me [to] a city of bulwarks? Who has led me to Edom?
10 Ọ bụghị gị, O Chineke? Gị onye jụrụ anyị, onye na-adịghị esokwa ndị agha anyị aga agha?
Is it not You, O God? Have You cast us off? And do You not go forth, O God, with our hosts?
11 Nyere anyị aka ka anyị pụọ nʼaka ndị iro, nʼihi na inyeaka mmadụ bụ ihe efu.
Give to us help from adversity, And the deliverance of man [is] vain.
12 Site na Chineke, anyị ga-enwe mmeri, ọ ga-azọpịa ndị iro anyị niile nʼala.
We do mightily in God, And He treads down our adversaries!
