1 Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi Abụ. Ọ bụ olu abụ eji ekwe “Okoko lili nke Ọgbụgba Ndụ.” Abụ miktam nke Devid maka izi ihe. Mgbe ọ lụsoro Aram Naharaim na Aram Zoba ọgụ, nakwa mgbe Joab lọghachitara, tigbuo narị ndị Edọm iri nʼabụọ na Ndagwurugwu Nnu. O Chineke, ị jụla anyị, ị tịwawo anyị nʼike; i wesola anyị iwe, ugbu a, kpọghachi anyị.
“To the chief musician upon Shushan'eduth, a Michtham of David, to teach, When he fought with Aram-naharayim, and with Aram-zobah, and Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the Salt Valley twelve thousand [men].” O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast made a breach in us, thou hast been displeased: restore now unto us [thy favor].
2 I meela ka ala a maa jijiji, ị dọwakwala ya; mezie ntiwa ya niile, nʼihi na ọ na-ama jijiji.
Thou hast caused the earth to quake; thou hast split it: heal her breaches; for she is moved.
3 I meela ka ndị gị gabiga ọnọdụ ihe isi ike; i nyela anyị mmanya nke mere ka anyị na-adagharị.
Thou hast caused thy people to see hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of confusion.
4 Ma nye ndị na-atụ egwu gị, i weliela otu ọkọlọtọ nke a ga-agbasa nʼihi eziokwu imegide ụta nke ndị iro. (Sela)
Thou hast given to those that fear thee a banner, to elevate themselves, because of the truth. (Selah)
5 Were aka nri gị zọpụta anyị ma nyere anyị aka, ka a gbapụta ndị ị hụrụ nʼanya.
In order that thy beloved may be delivered: help with thy right hand, and answer me.
6 Chineke esitela nʼịdị nsọ ya kwuo, sị, “Nʼọnọdụ ọṅụ nke mmeri, aga m ekesa Shekem, tụkwaa Ndagwurugwu Sukọt nʼihe ọtụtụ nyepụ ya.
God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will I measure out.
7 Gilead bụ nke m, otu a kwa, Manase bụkwa nke m; Ifrem bụ okpu igwe m, Juda bụ mkpara eze m.
Mine is Gil'ad, and mine is Menasseh; Ephraim also is the strong-hold of my head; of Judah are my chiefs;
8 Moab bụ efere ịkwọ aka m, aga m atụsa akpụkpọụkwụ m nʼelu Edọm; nʼelu isi Filistia, ana m eti mkpu mmeri.”
Moab is my washpot; upon Edom will I cast my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou but over me.
9 Onye ga-akpọrọ m gaa nʼobodo e wusiri ike? Onye ga-edu m gaa Edọm?
Who will bring me into the fortified city? who will lead me as far as Edom?
10 Ọ bụghị gị, O Chineke? Gị onye jụrụ anyị, onye na-adịghị esokwa ndị agha anyị aga agha?
Behold, it is thou, O God, who hast cast us off; and thou, O God, goest not forth with our armies.
11 Nyere anyị aka ka anyị pụọ nʼaka ndị iro, nʼihi na inyeaka mmadụ bụ ihe efu.
Give us help against the assailant; for vain is the help of man.
12 Site na Chineke, anyị ga-enwe mmeri, ọ ga-azọpịa ndị iro anyị niile nʼala.
Through God shall we do valiantly: and he it is that will tread down our assailants.
