< Abụ Ọma 59 >
1 Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Devid. Abụ miktam nke eji olu abụ “E bibikwala,” abụ. Mgbe Sọl zipụrụ ndị ikom ka e chee ụlọ Devid nche nʼihi igbu ya. O Chineke, site nʼaka ndị iro m gbapụta m, chebe m site nʼaka ndị na-ebili imegide m.
God, save me from my enemies! Protect me from those who want to attack me!
2 Gbapụta m site nʼaka ndị na-eme ajọ ihe, zọpụtakwa m site nʼaka ndị ogbu mmadụ.
Rescue me from men who want to do what is wicked, men who are murderers!
3 Lee ka ha siri zoo onwe ha nʼihi ịnapụ m ndụ! Ndị na-eme ihe ike na-agba izu megide m, o Onyenwe anyị, ma ọ bụghị nʼihi ihe m mere maọbụ mmehie m.
Look! They are waiting to kill me! Fierce men have gathered to assault me. Yahweh, they are doing that even though I have not done what is wrong!
4 Mgbe ọ na-adịghị ihe ọjọọ m mere, ma lee ha dị njikere imegide m. Bilie, bịa nyere m aka; lee ihe ọjọọ dakwasịrị m!
It is not because I have committed any sin [against them] that they run and get ready to attack me.
5 Gị, Onyenwe anyị Chineke Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, gị onye bụ Chineke nke Izrel, kpọtee onwe gị ịta mba niile dị iche iche ahụhụ; e gosikwala ndị na-ezube nzube ọjọọ obi ebere. (Sela)
Yahweh my God, commander of the armies of heaven, the one we Israelis [worship], arise and punish the [ungodly/heathen people of] all the nations; do not be merciful to those [wicked people] who have (acted treacherously toward/secretly planned to harm) us.
6 Nʼanyasị, ha na-alaghachi, na-eme mkpọtụ dịka ụmụ nkịta mgbe ha na-akpagharị nʼime obodo.
They return each evening, snarling like vicious dogs [SIM] as they prowl around this city.
They loudly say terrible things; they say [MTY] many things that [injure people like] [MET] swords do, but they think, “No one will [RHQ] hear us!”
8 Ma gị Onyenwe anyị, na-achị ha ọchị; ị na-akwa mba ndị a niile emo.
But Yahweh, you laugh at them. You (scoff at/ridicule) the [people of the pagan] nations.
9 O, gị onye bụ ike m, ana m ele anya gị; gị, o Chineke, bụ ebe mgbaba m e wusiri ike.
God, I have confidence in you because you are very strong; you are my refuge.
10 Chineke m, onye m tụkwasịrị obi. Chineke ga-ebutere m ụzọ mekwaa ka m chịa ndị niile na-ekwulu m ọchị.
Because you love me, you will come to save me; you will allow me to watch while you defeat my enemies.
11 O Onyenwe anyị na ọta anyị, egbukwala ha, ma ọ bụghị ya, ndị m ga-echefu. Were ike gị mee ka ha wagharịa, wedakwaa ha nʼala.
But do not kill them [immediately] in order that my people will not forget [how you punished them]! [Instead], Lord, [you who are like a] shield [that protects us] [MET], scatter them by your power, and [then] defeat them.
12 Ka e jide ha nʼime nganga ha, nʼihi mmehie si ha nʼọnụ na-apụta, na nʼihi okwu ọnụ ha. Nʼihi okwu ọbụbụ ọnụ ha na okwu ụgha ha,
Because what they say [MTY] is sinful, allow them to be trapped for being proud. Because they are [always] cursing and telling lies,
13 jiri iwe ọkụ repịa ha, repịa ha ruo mgbe ha ga-aghọ ntụ. Mgbe ahụ, a ga-amata ruo na nsọtụ nke ụwa, na Chineke na-achị Jekọb.
because you are angry, get rid of them; destroy them completely in order that people will know that you rule over us, your Israeli people, and that you rule over all the earth.
14 Nʼanyasị ha na-alaghachi; na-eme mkpọtụ dịka ụmụ nkịta, mgbe ha na-akpagharị nʼime obodo.
My enemies return each evening, snarling like [vicious] dogs as they prowl around this city.
15 Ha na-awagharị na-achọ nri, na-etikwa mkpu ma ọ bụrụ na afọ ejughị ha.
They roam around, searching for food; and if they do not find enough, they growl.
16 Ma aga m abụ abụ banyere ike gị, nʼụtụtụ aga m abụ abụ banyere ịhụnanya gị; ị bụ ebe mgbaba m e wusiri ike, ebe mgbaba m nʼoge nsogbu.
But [as for me], I will sing about your power; [every] morning I will sing joyfully about your faithfully loving [us]. I will sing about how you protected me when I was [very] distressed.
17 O, gị onye bụ ike m, ana m abụku gị abụ otuto; gị, o Chineke, bụ ebe mgbaba m e wusiri ike, Chineke m, onye m na-adabere.
God, you are the one who enables me to be strong; you are my refuge; you faithfully love me.
