< Abụ Ọma 53 >
1 Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Nʼusoro Mahalat. Abụ maskil Devid. Onye nzuzu na-asị nʼime obi ya, “Ọ dịghị Chineke ọbụla dị.” Ha bụ ndị ajọ omume riri ahụ, ụzọ ha niile bụkwa ihe arụ; ọ dịghị onye ọbụla na-eme ezi ihe.
Unto the end. For Mahalath: the thoughts of David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They were corrupted, and they became abominable with iniquities. There is no one who does good.
2 Chineke sitere nʼeluigwe na-ele ụmụ mmadụ anya, ịhụ ma ọ ga-achọta onye ọbụla nwere nghọta, onye nke na-achọ Chineke.
God gazed down from heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who were considering or seeking God.
3 Onye ọbụla, nʼotu nʼotu ewezugala onwe ha, ha niile abụrụla ndị ajọ omume riri ahụ; ọ dịghị onye ọbụla na-eme ihe ziri ezi, ọ dịghị ọ bụladị otu onye.
All have gone astray; together they have become useless. There is no one who does good; there is not even one.
4 Ndị niile na-eme ajọ ihe, ha amaghị ihe? Ha na-eripịa ndị m dịka mmadụ si eri nri, ha adịghị akpọkukwa Chineke.
Will they never learn: all those who work iniquity, who devour my people like a meal of bread?
5 Ma nʼebe ahụ ka ha nọ, nʼọnọdụ oke egwu, ebe ọ dịghị ihe egwu na-adịghị. Chineke fesasịrị ọkpụkpụ ndị niile megidere gị; i mere ka ihere mee ha, nʼihi na Chineke ajụla ha.
They have not called upon God. In that place, they have trembled in fear, where there was no fear. For God has scattered the bones of those who please men. They have been confounded, because God has spurned them.
6 O, a sịkwarị na nzọpụta Izrel ga-esi na Zayọn pụta! Mgbe Chineke ga-akpọghachite ndị ya nʼọnọdụ ha, ka Jekọb ṅụrịa ọṅụ, ka Izrel nwekwaa obi ụtọ!
Who will grant from Zion the salvation of Israel? Jacob will exult, when God will convert the captivity of his people; and Israel will rejoice.
