< Abụ Ọma 51 >

1 Abụ dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Ọma Devid. Mgbe Netan bụ onye amụma bịakwutere Devid nʼoge ya na Batsheba kwara iko. O Chineke, meere m ebere, nʼihi ịhụnanya gị nke na-adịgide adịgide; nʼihi oke ọmịiko gị, hichapụ njehie m niile.
For the leader. A psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet come to him after he had been with Bathsheba. In your kindness, O God, be gracious to me, in your own great pity blot out my transgressions.
2 Sachapụ mmehie m niile, ma mee m ka m dị ọcha.
Wash me clean of my guilt, make me pure of my sin.
3 Nʼihi na amaara m njehie m niile, mmehie m dịkwa nʼihu m mgbe niile.
For well I know my transgressions, my sin is ever before me.
4 Ọ bụkwa naanị gị ka m mehiere megide, mee ihe ahụ bụ ihe ọjọọ nʼihu gị, nke mere na ị bụ onye na-ekpe ikpe ziri ezi mgbe ị na-ekwu okwu, na onye ezi omume mgbe ị na-ekpe ikpe.
Against you, only you, have I sinned, and done that which is wrong in your sight: you therefore are just when you speak, and clear when you utter judgment.
5 Nʼezie, onye mmehie ka m bụ site nʼoge amụrụ m; bụrụkwa onye mmehie site nʼoge nne m tụrụ ime m.
See! In guilt was I brought to the birth, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Nʼezie, ị na-achọ eziokwu nʼakụkụ niile zoro ezo; ị na-akụziri m amamihe nʼakụkụ niile zoro ezo.
It’s the innermost truth you desire, give me therefore true wisdom of heart.
7 Were hisọp sachaa m, aga m adị ọcha; sachaa m ka m dị ọcha karịa snoo.
Purge me clean with hyssop, wash me whiter than snow.
8 Mee ka m nụrụ olu obi ụtọ na ọṅụ; ka okpukpu ndị i gwepịara ṅụrịkwaa.
Fill me with joy and gladness, let the bones you have broken rejoice.
9 Zopu ihu gị nʼebe mmehie m niile dị, hichapụkwa mmehie m niile.
Hide your face from my sins, and blot out my guilt altogether.
10 Kee obi dị ọcha nʼime m, O Chineke, nwogharịa ezi mmụọ nʼime m.
Create me a clean heart, O God, put a new steadfast spirit within me.
11 Achụpụla m nʼihu gị, anapụkwala m Mmụọ Nsọ gị.
Cast me not forth from your presence, withdraw not your holy spirit.
12 Nyeghachikwa m ọṅụ nke nzọpụta gị, ma jiri ezi mmụọ kwagide m.
Give me back the joy of your help, with a willing spirit sustain me.
13 Mgbe ahụ, aga m enwe ike izi ndị njehie ụzọ gị, ndị mmehie ga-echegharị lọghachikwute gị.
I will teach your ways to transgressors, and sinners shall turn to you.
14 O Chineke, zọpụta m site nʼikpe ọmụma nke mwụfu ọbara, Chineke, gị bụ Chineke Onye nzọpụta m, ire m ga-abụ abụ banyere ezi omume gị.
Save me from blood, O God, and my tongue shall ring out your faithfulness.
15 O, Onyenwe m, meghee ọnụ m, ka m kwupụta otuto gị.
Open my lips, O Lord, and my mouth shall declare your praise.
16 Ị naghị enwe mmasị nʼaja, ma ọ bụghị ya, agaara m eweta ya. Ị naghị enwe mmasị nʼaja nsure ọkụ.
For in sacrifice you have no pleasure, in gifts of burnt-offering no delight.
17 Aja Chineke chọrọ bụ mmụọ tiwara etiwa, O Chineke, ị naghị elefu anya, nʼobi tiwara etiwa na nke nwere ezi nchegharị.
The sacrifice pleasing to God is a spirit that is broken; a heart that is crushed, O God, you will not despise.
18 Ka ọ masị gị inye Zayọn ọganihu; i wulie mgbidi niile nke Jerusalem.
Do good in your pleasure to Zion, build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Mgbe ahụ, a ga-enwe ezi aja, aja nsure ọkụ nke ga-atọ gị ụtọ; mgbe ahụ, a ga-achụkwa aja ọtụtụ oke ehi nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja gị.
Then will you welcome the due forms of sacrifice, then on your altars shall bullocks be offered.
