1 Abụ Ọma dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Ọma Devid, bụ ohu Onyenwe anyị. E nwere m ozi dị nʼime obi nke sitere nʼaka Chineke banyere ndụ mmehie nke ndị na-eme ajọ ihe: Ọ dịghị ịtụ egwu Chineke dị nʼanya ha.
For the music director. A psalm of David, servant of the Lord. Evil speaks to the wicked, deep down in their minds, for in their eyes they have no need to respect God.
2 Nʼihi ha na-agwarịta onwe ha okwu ire ụtọ nʼanya ha onwe ha, na o nweghị ụzọ a ga-esi nwe ike ịchọpụta mmehie ha maọbụ kpọọ ya asị.
In their own eyes they're so wonderful that they can't even see their sin and do something about it.
3 Okwu ọnụ ha niile bụ ihe ọjọọ na aghụghọ; ha adịghị eji uche eme ihe maọbụ mee ihe dị mma.
Whatever they say is deceptive and deceitful. They no longer do anything wisely or for good.
4 Ọ bụladị mgbe ha nọ nʼelu ihe ndina ha, ha na-eche echiche ajọ ihe; ha enyefeela onwe ha nʼaka ndụ ajọ omume, ha adịghị ajụkwa ihe na-ezighị ezi.
Even when they're lying in bed they think up evil schemes. They commit themselves to a way of life that is no good. They choose evil, and don't reject it.
5 O Onyenwe anyị, ịhụnanya gị na-eru mbara eluigwe, ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị na-erukwa igwe ojii nke eluigwe.
Lord, your faithful love reaches to the heavens, your trustworthiness to the clouds.
6 Ezi omume gị dịka ugwu dị ukwuu, ikpe ikpe ziri ezi gị dịka omimi nke oke osimiri. O Onyenwe anyị, ị na-echebe ụmụ mmadụ na anụmanụ.
Your goodness is like the highest mountains, your fairness is like the deepest oceans. Lord, you save both the people and the animals.
7 Lee ka ịhụnanya gị nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ si dị oke ọnụahịa, O Chineke! Ụmụ mmadụ na-agbaba nʼokpuru ndo nke nku gị abụọ.
God, how priceless is your trustworthy love! Everyone can find protection under the shelter of your wings.
8 Ha na-eri oriri site nʼịba ụba nke ụlọakụ gị; Ị na-enyekwa ha mmiri site nʼiyi nke obi ụtọ gị.
They gain strength from the wonderful food you provide in your house; you give them drink from your refreshing river.
9 Nʼihi na mmiri na-enye ndụ dị na gị; ọ bụkwa nʼìhè gị ka anyị na-ahụ ìhè.
You are the source of life; you are the light by which we see.
10 Mee ka ịhụnanya gị na-adịgidere ndị maara gị, ka ezi omume gị na-adịgidekwara ndị ziri ezi nʼobi.
Extend your trustworthy love to those who know you, and your goodness to those who truly live right.
11 Ekwela ka ndị mpako a zọọ m ụkwụ nʼisi, ekwekwala ka aka ndị ajọ omume nupu m nʼebe m guzo.
Don't let the arrogant trample me down; don't let the wicked drive me out.
12 Lee ka ndị na-eme ajọ ihe si daa nʼala, a kwatuola ha nʼala, ha apụghịkwa ibilite ọzọ.
Now look! See how those who do evil have fallen—thrown down, unable to get up.
