< Abụ Ọma 33 >
1 Tienụ mkpu ọṅụ nye Onyenwe anyị, unu ndị ezi omume; nʼihi na ọ bụ ihe ziri ezi ka ndị obi ha ziri ezi too ya.
Shout for joy in the Lord, you righteous: praise for the upright is seemly.
2 Werenụ ụbọ akwara too Onyenwe anyị; werenụ une nke nwere akwara iri kpọọrọ ya egwu.
Give thanks to the Lord on the lyre, play to him on a ten-stringed harp.
3 Bụkuonụ ya abụ ọhụrụ; were ǹka kpọọ ụbọ akwara ma tiekwa mkpu ọṅụ.
Sing to him a new song, play skilfully and shout merrily.
4 Nʼihi na okwu Onyenwe anyị niile ziri ezi bụrụkwa eziokwu; o kwesiri ntụkwasị obi nʼọrụ ya niile.
For the Lord is straight in his promise; and all that he does is in faithfulness.
5 Onyenwe anyị na-ahụ ezi omume na ikpe ziri ezi nʼanya; ụwa niile jupụtara nʼịhụnanya ya nke na-enweghị ọgwụgwụ.
Justice and right he loves; the earth is full of his kindness.
6 Ọ bụ site nʼokwu ọnụ Onyenwe anyị ka e ji kee eluigwe niile, jirikwa nkuume nke ọnụ ya mee anwụ, na ọnwa na kpakpando niile.
By his word the heavens were made, all their host by the breath of his mouth.
7 Ọ bụ ya kekwara osimiri niile chịkọta ha nʼotu ebe, kpaa oke ebe ha ga-anọ dịka ụlọakụ dị ukwuu.
He gathers the sea in a bottle, the ocean he puts into store-houses.
8 Ka ụwa niile tụọ Onyenwe anyị egwu; ka mmadụ niile bi nʼụwa sọpụrụ ya.
Let the whole world honor the Lord, let all who live on earth be in awe.
9 Nʼihi na o kwuru okwu, okwu ahụ mezukwara; o nyere iwu, iwu ahụ guzokwara chịm.
For at his word it came into being, at his command it stood forth.
10 Onyenwe anyị na-emebi atụmatụ mba niile; ọ na-emebi ebumnobi ụmụ mmadụ.
The Lord frustrates the designs of the nations, what the peoples have purposed, he brings to nought,
11 Atụmatụ Onyenwe anyị na-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, ebumnobi ya ruo ọgbọ niile.
but the Lord’s own design will stand forever, and what his heart has purposed, through all generations.
12 Mba a gọziri agọzi ka mba ahụ bụ, bụ ndị Chineke bụ Onyenwe anyị ha; bụ ndị ọ họpụtara ka ha bụrụ ihe nketa ya.
Happy the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for himself as his own.
13 Onyenwe anyị si nʼeluigwe na-ele ndị mmadụ bi nʼụwa anya. Ọ na-ahụzu ụmụ mmadụ niile anya.
The Lord looks down from heaven, he sees all of humanity;
14 O sitere nʼebe obibi ya na-ele onye ọbụla bi nʼelu ụwa anya.
from where he rules he gazes on all who inhabit the earth.
15 Ebe ọ bụ ya kpụrụ obi mmadụ niile nʼotu na otu; ọ na-ahụzu, na-amazukwa ihe niile ha na-eme.
He fashions the hearts of them all, and gives heed to all that they do.
16 Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha eze apụghị ịzọpụta ya; o nweghị onye agha ọbụla na-azọpụta onwe ya, site nʼịdị ukwuu nke ike ya.
It is not by great armies that kings are victorious, it is not by great strength that a warrior saves himself;
17 Ịnyịnya agha ezukwaghị iwetara ndị na-agba ha mmeri nʼagha. Ọ bụ ezie na ịnyịnya dị ike, ma ha apụghị ịzọpụta ndị nwe ha.
false hope is the war-horse to usher in victory, for all its great might it can provide no escape.
18 Ma Onyenwe anyị ji anya ya na-eche ndị niile na-atụ ya egwu nche, ya bụ ndị niile na-atụkwasị obi ha nʼịhụnanya ya, nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ.
See! The eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his kindness;
19 Ọ ga-anapụta ha site nʼaka ọnwụ. Ọ ga-echebekwa ha ọ bụladị nʼoge ụnwụ.
to deliver their life from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Anyị ji olileanya eche Onyenwe anyị; ọ bụ ya bụ inyeaka anyị na ọta anyị.
We wait for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
21 Obi anyị na-aṅụrị ọṅụ nʼime ya; nʼihi na anyị tụkwasịrị aha nsọ ya obi.
For in him our heart is glad, we trust in his holy name.
22 O Onyenwe anyị, ka ịhụnanya gị na-adịgidere anyị, dịka olileanya anyị dị na gị.
Let your kindness, O Lord, be upon us, as is our hope in you.
