1 Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Ọma Devid. O Onyenwe anyị, lee na eze na-aṅụrị ọṅụ nʼike gị. Obi na-atọkwa ya ụtọ nke ukwuu nʼihi mmeri niile i nyere ya!
“To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” O Lord, because of thy strength will the king rejoice; and through thy salvation how greatly will he be glad!
2 I nyela ya ihe obi ya chọrọ; i mekwaara ya ihe niile ọ rịọrọ gị! (Sela)
The longing of his heart hast thou given him, and the request of his lips hast thou not withholden. (Selah)
3 I ji ngọzị bara ụba nabata ya, ọ bụkwa okpueze e ji ọlaedo a ṅụchara nke ọma kpụọ ka i kpukwasịrị ya nʼisi.
For thou meetest him unasked with the blessings of happiness: thou settest on his head a crown of pure gold.
4 Ọ rịọrọ ka i nye ya ndụ, i zara ekpere ya mekwaa ka o nwee ogologo ndụ nke ga-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
Life hath he asked of thee, thou gavest it to him, length of days for ever and ever.
5 Nsọpụrụ ya dị ukwuu site na mmeri niile i nyere ya, ebube na ịma mma bụ onyinye i nyere ya.
Great is his honor through thy help: glory and majesty thou layest upon him.
6 Nʼezie, i nyela ya ngọzị na-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, i mere ka o nwee obi ụtọ nke na-esite nʼọṅụ nke nọnyere gị.
For thou appointest him to be a blessing for ever: thou makest him glad with joy from thy presence.
7 Nʼihi na eze na-atụkwasị Onyenwe anyị obi, agaghị ewezuga ya nʼọnọdụ ya site nʼịhụnanya nke Onye kachasị ihe niile elu nke na-enweghị ọgwụgwụ.
For the king trusteth in the Lord; and through the kindness of the Most High shall he not be moved.
8 Ị ga-anwụchi ndị iro gị niile; aka nri gị ga-ejidekwa ndị kpọrọ gị asị.
Thy hand will reach all thy enemies: thy right hand will reach those that hate thee.
9 Mgbe ị pụtara ịlụ ọgụ, ị ga-erepịa ha dịka ọkụ nke na-enwu ajọ onwunwu. Nʼoke iwe ya, Onyenwe anyị ga-elo ha, ọkụ ya ga-erepịakwa ha.
Thou wilt render them as a fiery oven at the time of thy anger: the Lord in his wrath will destroy them, and a fire will devour them.
10 Ị ga-esite nʼelu ụwa laa agbụrụ ha niile nʼiyi, ụmụ ha kwa site, nʼetiti ụmụ mmadụ.
Their fruit wilt thou cause to perish from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
11 Nʼagbanyeghị na ha nwere ike ịpịa ọpịpịa ọjọọ megide gị, maọbụ tụpụta atụmatụ ọjọọ, ha agaghị emezu ebumnuche ha.
For they directed against thee evil: they devised a mischievous purpose, which they were not able to perform.
12 Nʼihi na i ga-eme ka ha gbaghachi azụ mgbe i kwere ụta gị tụgide ha nʼihu.
For thou wilt make them turn their back; upon thy bow-strings thou wilt make ready [thy arrows] against their face.
13 O Onyenwe anyị, ka e bulie gị elu nʼihi ike gị; anyị ga-abụ abụ ma tokwaa ike gị.
Exalt thyself, O Lord, in thy strength; [and] we will sing and praise thy power.
