1 Abụ ọma Devid. Abụ Devid ohu Onyenwe anyị. Ọ bụụrụ Onyenwe anyị okwu niile nke abụ a mgbe Onyenwe anyị napụtara ya site nʼaka ndị iro ya niile, nakwa nʼaka Sọl. Ọ sịrị: O Onyenwe anyị, ahụrụ m gị nʼanya, gị bụ ike m.
To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid the seruant of the Lord, which spake unto the Lord the wordes of this song (in the day that the Lord delivered him for the hande of all this enemies, and form the and of saul) and sayd, I will loue thee dearely, O Lord my strength.
2 Onyenwe anyị bụ oke nkume m, na ebe mgbaba m e wusiri ike, na onye nnapụta m. Chineke m bụ oke nkume m, onye m gbabara nʼime ya. Ọ bụ ọta m, na mpi nzọpụta m, na oke nkume m nke onye ọbụla na-apụghị ịba nʼime ya.
The Lord is my rocke, and my fortresse, and he that deliuereth me, my God and my strength: in him will I trust, my shield, the horne also of my saluation, and my refuge.
3 Akpọkuru m Onyenwe anyị, onye e kwesiri inye otuto, ọ zọpụtara m site nʼaka ndị iro m.
I will call vpon the Lord, which is worthie to be praysed: so shall I be safe from mine enemies.
4 Ụdọ niile nke ọnwụ kere m agbụ; ịchị ọkụ nke mbibi ọjọọ kpuchiri m.
The sorowes of death compassed me, and the floods of wickednes made me afraide.
The sorowes of the graue haue compassed me about: the snares of death ouertooke me. (Sheol h7585)
6 Nʼọnọdụ oke mkpagbu m, akpọkuru m Onyenwe anyị; etiri m mkpu akwa, kpọkuo Chineke m ka o nyere m aka; akwa m rutekwara ya ntị, o sitekwara nʼụlọnsọ ukwu ya nụ olu m.
But in my trouble did I call vpon the Lord, and cryed vnto my God: he heard my voyce out of his Temple, and my crye did come before him, euen into his eares.
7 Ụwa mere mkpọtụ, maa jijiji, ntọala niile nke ugwu niile makwara jijiji, ha mara jijiji nʼihi iwe nke na-ewe ya.
Then the earth trembled, and quaked: the foundations also of the mountaines mooued and shooke, because he was angrie.
8 Anwụrụ ọkụ sitere ya nʼimi pụta, ọkụ na-erepịa erepịa sikwa nʼọnụ ya pụta; icheku ọkụ na-ere ọkụ sitekwara nʼebe ahụ nwupụta.
Smoke went out at his nostrels, and a consuming fire out of his mouth: coales were kindled thereat.
9 O kewara mbara eluigwe, rịdata; oke igwe ojii dịkwa nʼokpuru ụkwụ ya.
He bowed the heauens also and came downe, and darkenes was vnder his feete.
10 Ọ nọkwasịrị nʼelu cherubim felie elu, o feliri elu nʼelu nku nke ifufe.
And he rode vpon Cherub and did flie, and he came flying vpon the wings of the winde.
11 O mere ọchịchịrị ebe nzuzo ya, ihe mkpuchi nke gbara ya gburugburu, bụ ọchịchịrị mmiri igwe ojii nke mbara eluigwe.
He made darkenes his secrete place, and his pauilion round about him, euen darkenesse of waters, and cloudes of the ayre.
12 Site nʼìhè nke na-enwupụta nʼahụ ya, igwe ojii ji mkpụrụ mmiri na amụma egbe eluigwe gabiga.
At the brightnes of his presence his clouds passed, haylestones and coles of fire.
13 Onyenwe anyị sitere nʼeluigwe bigbọọ; olu Onye kachasị ihe niile elu dara ụda.
The Lord also thundred in the heauen, and the Highest gaue his voyce, haylestones and coales of fire.
14 Ọ gbara àkụ ya, mee ka ndị iro gbasasịa, o jikwa oke amụma nke egbe eluigwe chụsaa ha.
Then hee sent out his arrowes and scattred them, and he increased lightnings and destroyed them.
15 E kpughere ala ala nke oke osimiri, gbakwa ntọala niile nke ụwa ọtọ, site nʼịba mba gị, O Onyenwe anyị, na nkuume si gị nʼimi pụta.
And the chanels of waters were seene, and the foundations of the worlde were discouered at thy rebuking, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of thy nostrels.
16 O sitere nʼelu setịpụ aka ya, jidesie m aka ike, ọ dọpụtara m site nʼogbu mmiri niile.
He hath sent downe from aboue and taken mee: hee hath drawen mee out of many waters.
17 Ọ napụtara m site nʼaka ndị iro m dị ike, bụ ndị kpọrọ m asị, ndị dịkwa ike karịa m.
He hath deliuered mee from my strong enemie, and from them which hate me: for they were too strong for me.
18 Ha guzogidere m nʼụbọchị ihe ndakwasị m, ma Onyenwe anyị bụrụ m ihe ndabere.
They preuented me in the day of my calamitie: but the Lord was my stay.
19 Ọ kpọpụtara m gaa nʼebe sara mbara, ọ napụtara m nʼihi na ihe m na-atọ ya ụtọ.
Hee brought mee foorth also into a large place: hee deliuered mee because hee fauoured me.
20 Onyenwe anyị mesoro m dịka ezi omume m si dị; ọ kwụghachiri m dịka ịdị ọcha nke aka m si dị.
The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnes: according to the purenes of mine hands he recompensed me:
21 Nʼihi na edebezuola m ụzọ niile nke Onyenwe anyị, ikpe amaghị m nʼihi ịgbakụta Chineke azụ.
Because I kept the wayes of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God.
22 Iwu ya niile dị nʼihu m, esibekwaghị m nʼụkpụrụ ya wezuga onwe m.
For all his Lawes were before mee, and I did not cast away his commandements from mee.
23 Abụ m onye na-enweghị ịta ụta nʼihu ya, edebekwara m onwe m pụọ na mmehie.
I was vpright also with him, and haue kept me from my wickednes.
24 Onyenwe anyị kwụghachiri m dịka ezi omume m si dị, dịka ịdị ọcha nke aka m abụọ si dị nʼanya ya.
Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnesse, and according to the purenes of mine hands in his sight.
25 Nʼebe onye kwesiri ntụkwasị obi nọ, i na-egosi onwe gị onye kwesiri ntụkwasị obi, nʼebe onye zuruoke nọ, ị na-egosi onwe gị onye zuruoke.
With the godly thou wilt shewe thy selfe godly: with the vpright man thou wilt shew thy selfe vpright.
26 Nʼebe onye dị ọcha nọ, ị na-egosi onwe gị onye dị ọcha, ma nye ndị ụzọ ha na-ezighị ezi, ị na-egosi onwe gị dịka onye dị aghụghọ.
With the pure thou wilt shewe thy selfe pure, and with the froward thou wilt shewe thy selfe froward.
27 Ị na-azọpụta ndị dị umeala nʼobi, ma ị na-eme ka ndị nwere anya mpako dị ala.
Thus thou wilt saue the poore people, and wilt cast downe the proude lookes.
28 Ọ bụ gị, Onyenwe anyị, na-eme ka oriọna m na-enwu, Chineke m na-eme ka ọchịchịrị m ghọọ ìhè.
Surely thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God wil lighten my darkenes.
29 Site nʼinyeaka gị, apụrụ m ịlụso igwe ndị agha ọgụ, sitekwa na Chineke m, apụkwara m ịwụfe mgbidi ọbụla.
For by thee I haue broken through an hoste, and by my God I haue leaped ouer a wall.
30 Ma banyere Chineke, ụzọ ya zuruoke, okwu ọnụ Onyenwe anyị bụ ihe a nụchara anụcha; ọ bụ ọta nke onye ọbụla na-ezo onwe ya nʼokpuru ya.
The way of God is vncorrupt: the worde of the Lord is tried in the fire: he is a shield to all that trust in him.
31 Nʼihi na onye bụ Chineke, ma ọ bụghị naanị Onyenwe anyị? Onye bụkwa oke Nkume ahụ, ma ọ bụghị naanị Chineke anyị?
For who is God besides the Lord? and who is mightie saue our God?
32 Ọ bụ Chineke na-enye m ike, na-echebekwa ụzọ m nʼizuoke.
God girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way vpright.
33 Ọ na-eme ka ụkwụ m dị gara gara, dịka nke nne ele; Ọ na-emekwa ka m kwụrụ chịm nʼebe niile dị elu.
He maketh my feete like hindes feete, and setteth me vpon mine high places.
34 Ọ na-azụ aka m abụọ ibu agha, ogwe aka m abụọ pụrụ ịrọji ụta bronz.
He teacheth mine hands to fight: so that a bowe of brasse is broken with mine armes.
35 Ị na-eme ka inyeaka nke nzọpụta gị bụrụ ọta m, aka nri gị na-akwagidekwa m, inyeaka gị emeela m ka m dị ukwuu.
Thou hast also giuen me the shield of thy saluation, and thy right hand hath stayed me, and thy louing kindenes hath caused me to increase.
36 Ị na-edozi ụzọ sara mbara nye ụkwụ, ka nkwonkwo ụkwụ m ghara ịgbụchapụ.
Thou hast enlarged my steps vnder mee, and mine heeles haue not slid.
37 Achụrụ m ndị iro m ọsọ, jidekwa ha; alaghachighị m azụ tutu ruo mgbe ha niile lara nʼiyi.
I haue pursued mine enemies, and taken them, and haue not turned againe till I had consumed them.
38 Etidara m ha nʼala ebe ha enwekwaghị ike ibilite. Ha dara nʼokpuru ụkwụ m.
I haue wounded them, that they were not able to rise: they are fallen vnder my feete.
39 Ọ bụ gị nyere m ike ibu agha, i wedara ndị niile na-emegide m nʼala nʼihu m.
For thou hast girded me with strength to battell: them, that rose against me, thou hast subdued vnder me.
40 I mere ka ndị iro m tụgharịa gbapụ ọsọ. Ebibikwara m ndị kpọrọ m asị.
And thou hast giuen me the neckes of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
41 Ha bere akwa maka enyemaka, ma ọ dịghị onye na-azọpụta ha. Ha kpọkuru Onyenwe anyị, ma ọ zaghị ha.
They cryed but there was none to saue them, euen vnto the Lord, but hee answered them not.
42 Egwepịara m ha nke ọma dịka ntụ nke ikuku na-ebufu; a zọtọrọ m ha dịka apịtị nke okporoụzọ.
Then I did beate them small as the dust before the winde: I did treade them flat as the clay in the streetes.
43 Ị napụtala m site nʼaka ndị na-alụso m ọgụ ị meela m onyeisi nke ọtụtụ mba; ndị m na-amaghị na mbụ na-ejekwara m ozi.
Thou hast deliuered me from the contentions of the people: thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people, whom I haue not knowen, shall serue me.
44 Ndị ala ọzọ na-ehulata nʼihu m nʼihi egwu, ngwangwa ha nụrụ olu m, ha na-erube isi nye m.
As soone as they heare, they shall obey me: the strangers shall be in subiection to me.
45 Obi na-ada ha mba; ha na-ama jijiji mgbe ha na-esite nʼebe niile ha e wusiri ike na-apụta.
Strangers shall shrinke away, and feare in their priuie chambers.
46 Onyenwe anyị na-adị ndụ! Otuto dịrị oke nkume m! Mbuli elu dịrị Chineke, Onye nzọpụta m.
Let the Lord liue, and blessed be my strength, and the God of my saluation be exalted.
47 Ọ bụ Chineke ahụ onye na-abọrọ m ọbọ, onye na-emekwa ka mba dị iche iche nọrọ nʼokpuru m,
It is God that giueth me power to auenge me, and subdueth the people vnder me.
48 onye na-anapụta m site nʼaka ndị iro m. I mere ka m dị elu karịa ndị iro, napụtakwa m site nʼaka nwoke na-eme ihe ike.
O my deliuerer from mine enemies, euen thou hast set mee vp from them, that rose against me: thou hast deliuered mee from the cruell man.
49 Nʼihi nke a, Onyenwe anyị, aga m eto gị nʼetiti mba niile dị iche iche, aga m abụku aha gị abụ otuto.
Therefore I will prayse thee, O Lord, among the nations, and wil sing vnto thy Name.
50 Ọ na-enye eze ya mmeri dị ukwuu; Ọ na-egosikwa onye ya onye e tere mmanụ ịhụnanya na-adịghị ada ada, nye Devid na ndị agbụrụ ya ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
Great deliuerances giueth hee vnto his King, and sheweth mercie to his anoynted, euen to Dauid, and to his seede for euer.
