1 Toonu Onyenwe anyị. O mkpụrụobi m, too Onyenwe anyị.
Praise ye the Lord. Praise thou the Lord, O my soule.
2 Aga m eto Onyenwe anyị ogologo ndụ m niile; aga m abụ abụ otuto nye Chineke m mgbe m nọ na-adị ndụ.
I will prayse the Lord during my life: as long as I haue any being, I wil sing vnto my God.
3 Atụkwasịla ụmụ eze obi gị, ndị bụ mmadụ efu na-apụghị ịzọpụta.
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the sonne of man, for there is none helpe in him.
4 Mgbe mmụọ ha pụrụ, ha na-alaghachi nʼaja; nʼụbọchị ahụ, atụmatụ ha na-aghọ ihe efu.
His breath departeth, and he returneth to his earth: then his thoughtes perish.
5 Onye a gọziri agọzi ka onye ahụ bụ, onye inyeaka ya bụ Chineke nke Jekọb, onye olileanya ya dị na Onyenwe anyị, Chineke ya.
Blessed is he, that hath the God of Iaakob for his helpe, whose hope is in the Lord his God.
6 Onye kere eluigwe na ụwa, na osimiri, na ihe niile dị nʼime ha, Onyenwe anyị, onye ikwesi ntụkwasị obi ya na-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
Which made heauen and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth his fidelitie for euer:
7 Ọ na-ekpe ikpe ziri ezi nye ndị a na-akpagbu na-enyekwa ndị agụụ na-agụ nri. Onyenwe anyị na-eme ka ndị nọ nʼụlọ mkpọrọ nwere onwe ha,
Which executeth iustice for the oppressed: which giueth bread to the hungry: the Lord loseth the prisoners.
8 Onyenwe anyị na-emeghe anya ndị kpuru ìsì, Onyenwe anyị na-akwagide ndị niile dara mba, Onyenwe anyị hụrụ ndị ezi omume niile nʼanya.
The Lord giueth sight to the blinde: the Lord rayseth vp the crooked: the Lord loueth the righteous.
9 Onyenwe anyị na-echebe ndị ọbịa, na-elekọtakwa ndị na-enweghị nna na ndị di ha nwụrụ anwụ, ma ọ na-eme ka ihe ghara ịgara ndị ajọ omume nke ọma.
The Lord keepeth the strangers: he relieueth the fatherlesse and widowe: but he ouerthroweth the way of the wicked.
10 Onyenwe anyị na-achị ruo ebighị ebi, Chineke gị, o Zayọn, site nʼọgbọ ruo nʼọgbọ. Toonu Onyenwe anyị.
The Lord shall reigne for euer: O Zion, thy God endureth from generation to generation. Prayse ye the Lord.
