< Abụ Ọma 143 >
1 Abụ Ọma Devid. O Onyenwe anyị, nụrụ ekpere m, gekwaa ntị nʼakwa arịrịọ m maka amara; nʼihi ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị na ezi omume gị, bịa nyere m aka.
Hear, O Lord, my prayer: give ear to my supplication in thy truth: hear me in thy justice.
2 Edubatala m nʼọnọdụ ikpe m ikpe, nʼihi na ọ dịghị onye ọbụla dị ndụ bụ onye ezi omume nʼihu gị.
And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight no man living shall be justified.
3 Onye iro na-achụ m ọsọ, ọ na-azọpịa ndụ m nʼala; na-emekwa ka m nọdụ nʼọchịchịrị, dịka ndị nwụrụ anwụ nʼogologo oge gara aga.
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul: he hath brought down my life to the earth. He hath made me to dwell in darkness as those that have been dead of old:
4 Ya mere mmụọ m na-ada mba nʼime m ụjọ jupụtakwara m nʼobi.
And my spirit is in anguish within me: my heart within me is troubled.
5 Ana m echeta ụbọchị niile ndị ahụ gara aga; ana m atụgharị uche nʼọrụ gị niile na-echekwa echiche banyere ihe niile aka gị rụrụ.
I remembered the days of old, I meditated on all thy works: I meditated upon the works of thy hands.
6 Ana m agbasa aka m abụọ nye gị; agụụ gị na-agụ mkpụrụobi m dịka agụụ mmiri ozuzo si agụ ala kpọrọ nkụ. (Sela)
I stretched forth my hands to thee: my soul is as earth without water unto thee.
7 O Onyenwe anyị, zaa m ọsịịsọ; mmụọ m na-ada mba. Ezonarịla m ihu gị, ma ọ bụghị ya, aga m adị ka ndị na-arịda ruo nʼili.
Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit hath fainted away. Turn not away thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
8 Mee ka m nụrụ okwu ịhụnanya gị nke na-adịghị agharịpụ nʼisi ụtụtụ, nʼihi na ọ bụ gị ka m tụkwasịrị obi. Zi m ụzọ m kwesiri ịgbaso, nʼihi na ọ bụ gị ka m na-eweli mkpụrụobi m nye.
Cause me to hear thy mercy in the morning; for in thee have I hoped. Make the way known to me, wherein I should walk: for I have lifted up my soul to thee.
9 O Onyenwe anyị, gbapụta m site nʼaka ndị iro m, nʼihi na ọ bụ nʼime gị ka m na-ezo onwe m.
Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord, to thee have I fled:
10 Kuziere m ime uche gị, nʼihi na ị bụ Chineke m; ka ezi Mmụọ gị duo m nʼala dị larịị.
Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God. Thy good spirit shall lead me into the right land:
11 O Onyenwe anyị, nʼihi aha gị chebe ndụ m; nʼime ezi omume gị, napụta m site na nsogbu.
For thy name’s sake, O Lord, thou wilt quicken me in thy justice. Thou wilt bring my soul out of trouble:
12 Nʼime ịhụnanya gị na-adịghị agharịpụ, kpochapụ ndị iro m; laa ndị niile kpọrọ m asị nʼiyi, nʼihi na abụ m ohu gị.
And in thy mercy thou wilt destroy my enemies. And thou wilt cut off all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
