< Abụ Ọma 138 >
1 Abụ Ọma Devid. O Onyenwe anyị, aga m eji obi m niile too gị; nʼihu chi niile dị iche iche ka m ga-abụku gị abụ otuto.
David’s. I will give thee thanks with all my heart, Before the messengers of God, will I praise thee in song:
2 Aga m akpọ isiala nʼebe ụlọnsọ ukwu gị dị aga m etokwa aha gị nʼihi ịhụnanya gị na ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị, nʼihi na i meela ka aha gị na okwu gị dị elu karịa ihe niile.
I will bow down towards thy holy temple, and thank thy Name, for thy lovingkindness and for thy faithfulness, For thou hast magnified, above all thy Name, thy word!
3 Mgbe m kpọkuru gị, ị zara m; i mere m ka m nwee nkwuwa okwu ma guzosiekwa ike.
In the day I cried unto thee, then didst thou answer me, and didst excite me, in my soul, mightily.
4 O Onyenwe anyị, ka ndị eze niile nọ nʼụwa too gị, mgbe ha nụrụ ihe niile i nyere nʼiwu.
All the kings of the earth, will thank thee, O Yahweh, when they have heard the sayings of thy mouth;
5 Ka ha bụọ abụ banyere ụzọ niile nke Onyenwe anyị, nʼihi na ebube Onyenwe anyị dị ukwuu.
And they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, That great is the glory of Yahweh:
6 Nʼagbanyeghị na Onyenwe anyị dị ukwuu, ọ na-elekwasị ndị dị umeala nʼobi anya, ma ọ naghị ekwe ka ndị nganga bịa ya nso.
Though lofty is Yahweh, yet, the lowly, he regardeth, but, the haughty—afar off, doth he acknowledge.
7 A sịkwarị na m na-eje ije nʼetiti nsogbu, ị na-echebe ndụ m; ị na-esetipụ aka gị megide iwe ndị kpọrọ m asị, ị na-eji aka nri gị zọpụta m.
Though I walk in the midst of distress, thou wilt give me life, —Because of the anger of my foes, thou wilt thrust forth thy hand, and thy right hand, will save me:
8 Onyenwe anyị ga-emezuru m ihe niile o kwadoro m; ịhụnanya gị, o Onyenwe anyị, na-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, ahapụkwala ọrụ aka gị niile.
Yahweh, will carry through my cause, —O Yahweh! thy lovingkindness, is age-abiding, The works of thine own hands, do not thou desert.
