< Abụ Ọma 132 >
1 Abụ nrigo. O Onyenwe anyị, cheta Devid, nʼihe niile bụ ndị ọ gbakụtara azụ.
A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. Lord, remember David, and all that he went through.
2 Ọ ṅụrụ iyi nye Onyenwe anyị, kwee nkwa nye Onye dị ukwuu nke Jekọb:
He made a promise to the Lord, a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 “Agaghị m abanye nʼime ụlọ m maọbụ rigoo nʼihe ndina m,
“I will not go home, I will not go to bed,
4 agaghị m arahụ ụra, egbugbere anya m agaghị atụ oru ụra,
I will not go to sleep, I will not take a nap,
5 tutu ruo mgbe m chọtaara Onyenwe anyị ọnọdụ ebe obibi nye Onye dị ukwuu nke Jekọb.”
until I find a place where the Lord can live, a home for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 Anyị nụrụ ihe banyere ya nʼEfrata, anyị chọtara ya nʼubi niile nke Jearim.
In Ephrathah we received information about the Ark of Agreement, and we found it in fields near Jaar.
7 “Ka anyị gaa na-ebe obibi ya; ka anyị kpọọ isiala nʼebe ihe mgbakwasị ụkwụ ya.
Let's go to the place where the Lord lives and bow down at his feet in worship.
8 ‘Bilie, Onyenwe anyị, bata nʼebe izuike gị, gị na igbe ọgbụgba ndụ nke ike gị.
Come, Lord, and enter your home, together with your Ark of your power.
9 Ka ndị nchụaja gị yiri ezi omume gị dịka uwe; ka ndị gị kwesiri ntụkwasị obi bụọ abụ nʼihi ọṅụ.’”
May your priests wear goodness like clothing; may your faithful people shout for joy.
10 Nʼihi ohu gị, bụ Devid, agbakụtala onye gị e tere mmanụ azụ.
For the sake of your servant David, don't reject the king you have chosen.
11 Onyenwe anyị ṅụrụ Devid iyi nʼeziokwu, bụ iyi nke ọ gaghị esi na ya laghachi azụ: “Otu nʼime ụmụ gị, ka m ga-eme ka ọ nọdụ nʼocheeze gị,
The Lord made a solemn promise to David, one he will never cancel—“I will put one of your descendants on your throne.
12 ọ bụrụ na ụmụ ndị ikom gị edebe ọgbụgba ndụ m na ụkpụrụ niile m kuziri ha, mgbe ahụ ụmụ ha ga-anọdụ ala nʼocheeze gị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.”
If your sons keep to my agreement and my laws that I will teach them, then their sons will always occupy your throne.”
13 Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị ahọrọla Zayọn, ọ bụ ọchịchọ obi ya ime ya ebe obibi ya;
For the Lord has chosen Zion, wanting to make his home there, saying:
14 “Ebe a bụ ebe izuike m ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, ebe a ka ocheeze m ga-adịkwa, nʼihi na ọ bụ ihe m chọrọ.
“This will always be my home; this is where I want to live.
15 Aga m eji ọtụtụ nri dị iche iche gọzie ya; aga m eji nri mee ka afọ ju ndị ogbenye ya.
I will provide the people of the city with all they need; I will feed the poor.
16 Aga m eji nzọpụta yinye ndị nchụaja ya niile dịka uwe, ndị nsọ ya ga-abụ abụ nʼihi ọṅụ.
I will clothe its priests with salvation; and its faithful people will shout for joy.
17 “Nʼebe a ka m ga-eme ka mpi puputara Devid ma debekwa oriọna nʼihi onye m e tere mmanụ.
I will make the line of David even more powerful. I have prepared a lamp for my chosen king.
18 Aga m eyikwasị ndị iro ya ihere dịka uwe ma aga eji okpueze mara mma chọọ isi ya mma.”
I will humiliate his enemies, but the crown he wears will shine brightly.”
