< Abụ Ọma 122 >
1 Abụ nrigo, nke Devid. Aṅụrịrị m ọṅụ mgbe ha sị m, “Ka anyị gaa nʼụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị.”
A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. I was so happy when they said to me, “Let's go the house of the Lord.”
2 Ụkwụ anyị eguzola ugbu a nʼọnụ ụzọ ama gị niile, gị obodo Jerusalem.
Now we're standing inside your gates, Jerusalem!
3 E wuru Jerusalem dịka obodo a chịkọtara ọnụ nke ọma.
Jerusalem is built as a city where people can be together.
4 Ọ bụ ebe ahụ ka ebo niile na-arịgo, bụ ebo niile nke Onyenwe anyị, ịbụku aha Onyenwe anyị abụ dịka iwu o nyere ndị Izrel si dị.
All the tribes—the tribes of the Lord—go up there, following the command given to Israel to give thanks to the Lord.
5 Nʼebe ahụ ka ocheeze niile nke ikpe ikpe dị, bụ ocheeze niile nke ezinaụlọ Devid.
This is where the thrones are placed, where judgment is given, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Kpeenụ ekpere maka udo Jerusalem: “Ka ndị niile hụrụ gị nʼanya nọọ nʼudo.
Pray that Jerusalem may be at peace. May everyone who loves Jerusalem be kept safe.
7 Ka udo dịrị nʼime mgbidi gị niile nchekwa dịrịkwa nʼime ebe nche gị niile e wusiri ike.”
May there be peace within your walls, and safety within your fortresses.
8 Nʼihi ụmụnne m na ndị enyi m, ana m ekwu okwu sị, “Udo dịrị gị.”
On behalf of my family and friends, I will now say, “May you be at peace.”
9 Nʼihi ụlọ Onyenwe anyị, Chineke anyị, aga m achọ ọganihu gị.
On behalf of the house of the Lord our God, I pray that everything goes well for you.
