< Abụ Ọma 116 >

1 Ahụrụ m Onyenwe anyị nʼanya, nʼihi na ọ nụrụ olu m; ọ nụrụ mkpu akwa m maka ebere.
It is lovely to me that the Lord heareth my voice, my supplications.
2 Nʼihi na o gere m ntị, aga m akpọku ya oge ndụ m niile.
For he hath inclined his ear unto me: therefore throughout all my days will I call on him.
3 Agbụ nke ọnwụ kekọrọ m, oke ihe mgbu nke ili bịakwasịrị m; nsogbu na iru ụjụ dakwasịrị m. (Sheol h7585)
The bands of death had compassed me, and the pangs of the nether world had overtaken me; I had met with distress and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)
4 Mgbe ahụ, akpọkuru m aha Onyenwe anyị: “O Onyenwe anyị, zọpụta m!”
I then called on the name of the Lord, I beseech thee, O Lord, release my soul.
5 Onyenwe anyị bụ onye na-eme ebere na onye ezi omume. Chineke anyị jupụtakwara nʼọmịiko.
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; and our God is merciful.
6 Onyenwe anyị na-echebe ndị na-enweghị uche; mgbe m nọ nʼọnọdụ mkpa, ọ zọpụtara m.
The Lord preserveth the simple: I was in misery, and he helped me.
7 Laghachi azụ zuru ike, gị mkpụrụobi m, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị emesola gị mmeso ọma.
Return, O my soul, unto thy rest; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 Nʼihi na gị, o Onyenwe anyị, napụtara mkpụrụobi m site nʼọnwụ, anya m site na anya mmiri akwa, napụtakwa ụkwụ m site nʼịsọ ngọngọ,
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
9 ka m nwee ike jegharịa nʼihu Onyenwe anyị nʼime ala ebe ndị dị ndụ bi.
I will walk before the Lord in the land of life.
10 Ekwenyere m na Onyenwe anyị mgbe m kwuru sị, “Abụ m onye nọ nʼoke nsogbu,”
I believe, therefore will I speak: I was greatly afflicted;
11 nʼime ịda mba m, ekwuru m sị, “Mmadụ niile bụ ndị ụgha.”
I indeed said in my despondency, Every man is a liar.
12 Gịnị ka m ga-enyeghachi Onyenwe anyị nʼihi mmeso ọma niile o mesoro m?
What shall I give in return unto the Lord for all his bounties toward me?
13 Aga m eweli iko nke nzọpụta m elu kpọkuokwa aha Onyenwe anyị.
The cup of salvation will I lift up, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
14 Nʼihu ndị ya niile ka m ga-anọ mezuo nkwa m kwere Onyenwe anyị.
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people.
15 Ọnwụ nke ndị nsọ ya dị oke ọnụahịa nʼanya Onyenwe anyị.
Grievous in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his pious ones.
16 O Onyenwe anyị, nʼezie, abụ m ohu gị; abụ m ohu gị, nwa nwoke nke ohu gị nwanyị; ị zọpụtala m site na agbụ e kere m.
O Lord, truly am I thy servant, I am thy servant, —the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosened my fetters.
17 Aga m achụrụ gị aja ekele kpọkuokwa aha Onyenwe anyị.
Unto thee will I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
18 Ọ bụkwa nʼihu ndị ya niile ka m ga-anọ kwụghachi Onyenwe anyị nkwa m kwere,
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people,
19 nʼime ogige ụlọ Onyenwe anyị, nʼetiti gị, O Jerusalem. Toonu Onyenwe anyị.
In the courts of the house of the Lord, in thy midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
