1 Toonu Onyenwe anyị. Onye a gọziri agọzi ka nwoke ahụ bụ onye na-atụ egwu Onyenwe anyị; onye na-enwe oke mmasị idebe iwu ya niile.
Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.
2 Ụmụ ya ga-abụ ndị dị ike nʼala ahụ; ọgbọ ndị na-eme ihe ziri ezi ga-abụ ndị a gọziri agọzi.
Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].
3 Akụnụba na-adịgide nʼụlọ ya; ezi omume ya na-adịgidekwa ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.
4 Ìhè na-enwuru ndị na-eme ihe ziri ezi, ọ bụladị nʼime ọchịchịrị, nyekwa ndị na-eme amara, ndị obiọma na ndị ezi omume.
Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.
5 Ihe ọma ga-abịara onye ahụ na-eme ebere na-ejikwa obi ya agbazinye ndị mmadụ ihe, onye na-eji ikpe ziri ezi arụ ọrụ ya niile.
Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.
6 Nʼezie, agaghị ewezuga ya nʼọnọdụ ya; a ga-echeta onye ezi omume ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].
7 Ọ gaghị atụ egwu akụkọ ọjọọ; obi ya na-eguzosi ike, na-atụkwasị Onyenwe anyị obi.
They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.
8 Obi ya siri ike, ọ gaghị atụ egwu ihe ọbụla; nʼikpeazụ, ọ ga-ele ndị na-akpọ ya asị anya na mmeri.
They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.
9 Ọ gbasapụrụ aka ya nye ndị ogbenye onyinye dị iche iche, ezi omume ya na-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi; a ga-ewere nsọpụrụ welie mpi ya elu.
They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.
10 Iwe ga-ewe onye ajọ omume mgbe ọ ga-ahụ ya, ọ ga-atagide ikikere eze tutu ọ nwụọ; olileanya niile nke ndị ajọ omume ga-ala nʼiyi.
Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
