Abụ Ọma 110

1 Abụ Ọma Devid. Onyenwe anyị gwara Onyenwe m okwu sị ya: “Nọdụ ala nʼaka nri m ruo mgbe m ga-eme ndị iro gị ihe mgbakwasị ụkwụ nye ụkwụ gị.”

Yahweh said to my lord [the king], “Sit [here], close to me, in the place of highest honor [MTY] until I [completely defeat] your enemies [MET] [and] make [them like] a stool for your feet!”

2 Onyenwe anyị ga-eme ka ike ọchịchị gị site na Zayọn ruo ala ndị ọzọ; ị ga-achị nʼetiti ndị iro gị niile.

Yahweh [also said to him], “I will extend your power as king from Jerusalem [to other lands]; you will rule over all your enemies.

3 Nʼụbọchị ị ga-ebu agha, ndị agha gị niile ga-ahọrọ nʼonwe ha i soro gị. Ndị yikwasịrị ịma mma nke ịdị nsọ ka uwe, bụ ụmụ okorobịa gị ga-abịakwute gị dịka igirigi site nʼafọ ụtụtụ.

On the day that you lead your armies into battle, many of your people will volunteer [to join your army]. Like the dew refreshes the earth early in the morning, young men will [encourage you by] coming to help you.”

4 Onyenwe anyị aṅụọla iyi, ọ gaghị agbanwe uche ya: “Gị onwe gị bụ onye nchụaja ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, nʼusoro Melkizedek.”

Yahweh has made a solemn promise, and he will never change his mind; he has said to the king, “You will be a priest forever [serving Yahweh] like Melchizedek did.”

5 Onyenwe anyị nọ nʼaka nri gị. Ọ ga-egwepịa ndị eze nʼụbọchị oke iwe ya.

Yahweh stands [in the place of highest honor] your right side; when he becomes angry, he will defeat [many kings].

6 Ọ ga-ekpe mba niile ikpe, na-atụkọta ndị nwụrụ anwụ, ma gwepịa ndị na-achị achị nʼelu ụwa niile.

He will judge and punish the people of [many] nations; he will fill the land with their corpses. He will crush the heads of other kings all over the earth.

7 Ọ ga-aṅụ mmiri site nʼiyi nta nke dị nʼakụkụ ụzọ; nʼihi nke a, ọ ga-eweli isi ya elu.

But my lord the king will drink from streams near the road; he will be refreshed after defeating his enemies.
