< Abụ Ọma 107 >
1 Keleenụ Onyenwe anyị, nʼihi na ọ dị mma; ịhụnanya ya na-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
O give thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
2 Ka ndị niile Onyenwe anyị gbapụtara kwuo otu a, ndị niile ọ gbapụtara site nʼaka onye kpọrọ ha asị,
Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3 ndị ọ kpọlatara site nʼala niile dị iche iche, site nʼọwụwa anyanwụ na ọdịda anyanwụ, site nʼugwu na ndịda.
And, out of the lands, hath gathered them—From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
4 Ụfọdụ wagharịrị nʼọzara, ala nke tọgbọrọ nʼefu, ha enweghị ike ịchọta ụzọ nke ga-eduba ha nʼobodo ebe ha ga-ebi.
They wandered about in the desert—in a waste, Way to a city to dwell in, found they none;
5 Agụụ gụrụ ha, akpịrị kpọkwara ha nkụ, olileanya gwụrụ ha nʼobi.
Hungry—yea thirsty, their soul, within them, fainted:
6 Mgbe ahụ, ha kpọkuru Onyenwe anyị, nʼime nsogbu ha, ọ napụtakwara ha site na mkpagbu ha niile.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh, in their peril, Out of their distresses, he rescued them;
7 O duuru ha nʼụzọ ziri ezi baa nʼobodo ha ga-ebi.
And led them by a straight road, That they might journey to a city to dwell in.
8 Ka ha kelee Onyenwe anyị nʼihi ịhụnanya ya nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ na nʼihi ọrụ ebube ya niile nye ụmụ mmadụ,
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men;
9 nʼihi na o jirila ọtụtụ ezi ihe nyejuo ndị agụụ na-agụ afọ meekwa ka onye akpịrị na-akpọ nkụ ṅụjuo afọ.
For he hath satisfied the longing soul, and, the famished soul, hath he filled with good.
10 Ụfọdụ nọdụrụ ala nʼọchịchịrị na nʼọnọdụ oke ihe mwute nke obi, ndị nọ nʼụlọ mkpọrọ na-ata ahụhụ ndị e ji mkpọrọ igwe kee ha agbụ,
The dwellers in darkness and death-shade, bound with oppression and iron;
11 nʼihi na ha nupuru isi megide okwu niile nke Chineke ma lelikwaa ndụmọdụ niile nke Onye kachasị ihe niile elu.
Because they had rebelled against the sayings of GOD, —and, the counsel of the Most High, they had spurned;
And he bowed down, with labour, their heart, They staggered, with no one to help,
13 Mgbe ahụ, ha kpọkuru Onyenwe anyị nʼime nsogbu ha, ọ zọpụtara ha site na mkpagbu ha niile.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, Out of their distresses, he saved them;
14 O mere ka ha site nʼọchịchịrị na oke ihe mwute nke obi pụta. O tijikwara agbụ ha niile.
He brought them forth out of darkness and death-shade, and, their fetters, he tare off.
15 Ka ha kelee Onyenwe anyị nʼihi ịhụnanya ya, nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ na nʼihi ọrụ ebube ya niile nye ụmụ mmadụ,
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
16 nʼihi na o tijisiela ọnụ ụzọ ama niile e ji bronz kpụọ gbujiekwa mkpọrọ ịkpọchi ụzọ niile e ji igwe kpụọ.
For he brake in pieces the doors of bronze, And, the bars of iron, he hewed asunder.
17 Ụfọdụ ghọrọ ndị nzuzu site na nnupu isi taakwa ahụhụ nʼihi njehie ha niile.
The perverse, by reason of their transgression, and on account of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18 Ihe oriri ọbụla ghọọrọ ha ihe rụrụ arụ ha bịakwara ọnụ ụzọ ama ọnwụ nso.
All manner of food, their soul abhorreth, and so they draw near unto the gates of death,
19 Mgbe ahụ, ha kpọkuru Onyenwe anyị nʼime nsogbu ha ọ zọpụtara ha site na mkpagbu ahụ niile.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he saveth them.
He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their graves.
21 Ka ha kelee Onyenwe anyị nʼihi ịhụnanya ya nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ na nʼihi ọrụ ebube ya niile nye ụmụ mmadụ.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
Yea let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount his works with a shout.
23 Ụfọdụ ji ụgbọ mmiri na-ejegharị nʼelu oke osimiri; ha bụ ndị na-azụ ahịa ma na-ebugharịkwa ngwa ahịa nʼelu oke osimiri.
Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;
24 Ha hụrụ ọrụ niile nke Onyenwe anyị, ọtụtụ ọrụ ebube ya nʼogbu mmiri.
They, see the works of Yahweh, and his wonders in the deep;
25 Nʼihi na o kwuru okwu mere ka oke ifufe kuo nke buliri ebili mmiri elu.
And he speaketh, and there ariseth a tempestuous wind, which lifteth on high its rolling waves;
They mount the heavens, they descend the roaring deeps, their soul, by trouble, dissolveth;
27 Ha na-adagharị, na-aṅagharịkwa dịka ndị ṅụbigara mmanya oke. Mmụta ha banyere ịnya ụgbọ mmiri adịghị enyekwara ha aka nʼoge dị otu a.
They reel and stagger, like a drunken man, and, all their wisdom, is engulfed,
28 Mgbe ahụ, ha kpọkuru Onyenwe anyị nʼime nsogbu ha, o mere ka ha pụta na mkpagbu ahụ niile.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he bringeth them forth,
29 O mere ka oke ifufe dere duu; o mekwara ka ebili mmiri nke oke osimiri dajụọ.
He calmeth the storm to a whisper, and silent are their rolling waves:
30 Ha ṅụrịrị ọṅụ mgbe ọ dajụrụ, o duuru ha ruo ebe ha na-aga nʼudo.
Then are they glad, because they are hushed, And he guideth them unto their desired haven.
31 Ka ha kelee Onyenwe anyị nʼihi ịhụnanya ya nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ na nʼihi ọrụ ebube ya niile nye ụmụ mmadụ.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
Yea let them extol him in the convocation of the people, and, in the seated company of elders, let them praise him.
He turneth Rivers into a desert, and, Springs of Water, into thirsty ground,
34 Ọ na-eme ka ala na-amị mkpụrụ hiri nne ghọọ ọzara, nʼihi ajọ omume nke ndị bi nʼime ya.
A Land of Fruit, into a waste of salt, For the wickedness of them who dwell therein.
35 Ọ na-eme ka ọzara ghọọ ala nke ọdọ mmiri jupụtara mee ka ala akọrọ ghọọ isi iyi nke na-asọ asọ;
He turneth A Desert, into a pool of water, and, A Parched Land into springs of water;
36 ebe ahụ ka ọ kpọbatara ndị agụụ na-agụ ka ha biri, ebe ahụ ka ha wuru obodo ebe ha ga-ebi.
And hath caused the famished to dwell there, And they have built them a city to dwell in;
37 Ha ghara mkpụrụ nʼubi ha dị iche iche, kụọkwa ọtụtụ ubi vaịnị ndị mịrị mkpụrụ dị ukwuu;
And have sown fields, and planted vineyards, and made them fruits of increase:
38 ọ gọziri ha, ọnụọgụgụ ha bakwara ụba, o mekwara ka anụ ụlọ ha mụbaa.
Thus hath he blessed them, and they have multiplied greatly, And, their cattle, he maketh not few.
39 Mgbe ahụ, ọnụọgụgụ ha adịghịkwa ka ọ dị na mbụ, ha bụ ndị e ji mkpagbu na ihe ndakwasị na iru ụjụ wedata nʼala;
So have they become few and been brought low, By oppression, misfortune, and sorrow;
40 onye ahụ na-eleda ndị na-achị achị anya mere ka ha wagharịa nʼọzara, ebe ụzọ na-adịghị.
He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
But he hath set the needy on high from affliction, and made families, like a flock: —
42 Ndị ezi omume na-ahụ ya na-aṅụrị ọṅụ, ma ndị ajọ omume na-emechi ọnụ ha nọọ duu.
The upright seeth and is glad, And, all perverseness, hath closed her mouth.
43 Onye ọbụla maara ihe ga-echezi echiche banyere ihe ndị a, ma tuleekwa ọrụ ịhụnanya Onyenwe anyị nke dị ukwuu.
Who is wise? then let him observe these things! and diligently consider the lovingkindness of Yahweh.
