1 Toonu Onyenwe anyị. Keleenụ Onyenwe anyị nʼihi na ọ dị mma; Ịhụnanya ya na-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
2 Onye pụrụ ikwupụtasịcha ihe ukwu niile nke Onyenwe anyị na-arụ maọbụ kwupụta otuto ya niile?
Who can describe the mighty acts of the LORD or fully proclaim His praise?
3 Ndị a gọziri agọzi ka ha bụ, bụ ndị na-edebe ikpe ziri ezi, ndị ahụ na-eme ezi ihe mgbe niile.
Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.
4 O Onyenwe anyị, cheta m mgbe ị ga-egosi ndị gị ihuọma, bịa leta m, mgbe ị na-azọpụta ha,
Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor to Your people; visit me with Your salvation,
5 ka m soro keta oke na ngọzị ndị gị ị họpụtara, ka m keta oke nʼọṅụ ahụ dịrị mba gị sorokwa ihe nketa gị nye otuto.
that I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, and rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, and give glory with Your inheritance.
6 Anyị emehiela, dịka nna nna anyị ha mehiere; anyị emeela ihe ọjọọ, rụọkwa ọrụ ajọ omume.
We have sinned like our fathers; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.
7 Mgbe nna nna anyị ha nọ nʼIjipt, ha echeghị uche banyere ọrụ ebube gị niile; ha echetakwaghị ịba ụba nke ebere gị niile, kama ha nupuru isi nʼakụkụ oke osimiri ahụ, bụ Osimiri Uhie.
Our fathers in Egypt did not grasp Your wonders or remember Your abundant kindness; but they rebelled by the sea, there at the Red Sea.
8 Ma ọ zọpụtara ha nʼihi aha ya, ime ka a mara ike ya dị ukwuu.
Yet He saved them for the sake of His name, to make His power known.
9 Ọ baara Osimiri Uhie mba, ọ tachaa; o dufere ndị ya site nʼebe dị omimi gafee dịka ọ bụ ọzara.
He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; He led them through the depths as through a desert.
10 Ọ zọpụtara ha site nʼaka ndị kpọrọ ha asị; gbapụtakwa ha site nʼaka ndị iro ha.
He saved them from the hand that hated them; He redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 Mmiri ahụ riri ndị iro ha niile; ọ dịghị otu onye nʼime ha fọdụrụ.
The waters covered their foes; not one of them remained.
12 Mgbe ahụ, ha kweere okwu gị niile, ma bụkuo gị abụ otuto.
Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.
13 Ma o teghị aka, ha chefuru ihe niile ọ rụrụ, ha e chereghị ka ndụmọdụ ya pụta ìhè.
Yet they soon forgot His works and failed to wait for His counsel.
14 Nʼọzara, ha sooro ọchịchọ nke obi ha; nʼala tọgbọrọ nʼefu, ha nwara Chineke ọnwụnwa.
They craved intensely in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.
15 Nʼihi ya, o nyere ha ihe ha rịọrọ ya, ma zite ọrịa na-efe efe ka ọ dakwasị ha.
So He granted their request, but sent a wasting disease upon them.
16 Nʼetiti ọmụma ụlọ ikwu ha, ha kworo ekworo megide Mosis na Erọn, ndị e doro nsọ nye Onyenwe anyị.
In the camp they envied Moses, as well as Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
17 Ala meghere loda Datan, o likwara Abiram, na ndị otù ya.
The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it covered the assembly of Abiram.
18 Ọkụ repịara ndị niile sonyere ha; ire ọkụ repịara ndị ajọ omume.
Then fire blazed through their company; flames consumed the wicked.
19 Na Horeb, ha kpụrụ nwa ehi, kpọọ isiala nye arụsị e jiri igwe pịa.
At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped a molten image.
20 Ha jiri oyiyi oke ehi nke na-ata ahịhịa gbanwere Ebube ha.
They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.
21 Ha chefuru Chineke, onye zọpụtara ha, onye rụrụ ọtụtụ ọrụ dị ukwuu nʼIjipt,
They forgot God their Savior, who did great things in Egypt,
22 ọtụtụ ihe ịrịbama nʼala Ham, na ọtụtụ ọrụ ịtụnanya nʼakụkụ Osimiri Uhie.
wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
23 Nʼihi ya, o kwuru na ọ ga-ala ha nʼiyi, ma Mosis, onye ya ọ họpụtara, guzoro nʼetiti ndị ahụ na Chineke, ka oke iwe ya ghara ịla ha nʼiyi.
So He said He would destroy them— had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach to divert His wrath from destroying them.
24 Emesịa, ha ledara ala ọma ahụ anya, ha ekwenyeghị na nkwa ya.
They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His promise.
25 Ha tamuru ntamu nʼime ụlọ ikwu ha; ha erubekwaghị isi nye Onyenwe anyị.
They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.
26 Nʼihi nke a, o weliri aka ya elu ṅụọrọ ha iyi na ọ ga-eme ka ha niile nwụọ nʼọzara,
So He raised His hand and swore to cast them down in the wilderness,
27 mee ka agbụrụ ha daa nʼetiti mba dị iche iche, ma chụsasịa ha nʼala niile.
to disperse their offspring among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.
28 Ha dịnyeere ndị na-efe arụsị Baal nke Peoa, riekwa ihe e ji chụọrọ chi na-enweghị ndụ aja;
They yoked themselves to Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods.
29 ha sitere nʼajọ omume ha kpasuo Onyenwe anyị iwe, nke mere ka ọrịa na-efe efe dakwasị ha.
So they provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
30 Ma Finehaz guzoro ọtọ, mee ihe ziri ezi, ọrịa ahụ na-efe efe kwụsịkwara.
But Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was restrained.
31 A gụnyere nke a dịka ezi omume nye ya site nʼọgbọ ruo nʼọgbọ.
It was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.
32 Nʼakụkụ mmiri Meriba, ha kpasuru Onyenwe anyị iwe, nʼihi ha, nsogbu dakwasịrị Mosis;
At the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them.
33 nʼihi na ha nupuru isi megide Mmụọ nke Chineke, Mosis kwuru okwu, na-echeghị echiche banyere ihe ọ na-ekwu.
For they rebelled against His Spirit, and Moses spoke rashly with his lips.
34 Ha egbuchapụghị mba niile bi nʼala ahụ dịka Onyenwe anyị dọrọ ha aka na ntị ka ha mee.
They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,
35 Kama ha gwakọtara onwe ha na mba niile nke ala ahụ, site otu a, mụta ime ka ha na-eme.
but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.
36 Ha fere arụsị ha ofufe, nke ghọrọ ihe ịma nʼọnya nye ha.
They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.
37 Ha gara nʼihu were ụmụ ha ndị ikom na ndị inyom chụọrọ chi na-abụghị chi aja.
They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
38 Ha na-awụfu ọbara ndị na-emeghị ihe ọbụla, ọbara ụmụ ha ndị ikom na ndị inyom, bụ ndị ha chụrụ dịka aja nye arụsị niile nke ala Kenan, si otu a jiri ọbara ha merụọ ala ahụ.
They shed innocent blood— the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Ha sitere nʼihe ha na-eme merụọ onwe ha; site nʼaka ọrụ ha, maka uru ha nyefere onwe ha nʼaka ndị na-emerụ ha.
They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.
40 Nʼihi nke a, iwe were Onyenwe anyị megide ndị ya; ọ gụkwara ihe nketa ya dịka ihe rụrụ arụ.
So the anger of the LORD burned against His people, and He abhorred His own inheritance.
41 Ọ raara ha nye nʼaka ndị mba ọzọ dị iche iche, ndị kpọrọ ha asị chịkwara ha.
He delivered them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Ndị iro ha mekpara ha ahụ chie ha ọnụ nʼala nʼokpuru ike ha.
Their enemies oppressed them, and subdued them under their hand.
43 Ọtụtụ oge, ọ napụtara ha, ma ha nọgidesịrị ike nʼinupu isi site na ndụmọdụ ya, bụrụ ndị lara nʼiyi nʼime mmehie ha.
Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity.
44 Ma mgbe ọ nụrụ mkpu akwa ha, ọnọdụ mkpagbu ha metụtara ya;
Nevertheless He heard their cry; He took note of their distress.
45 nʼihi ha, o chetara ọgbụgba ndụ ya, sitekwa nʼoke ịhụnanya ya, meere ha ebere.
And He remembered His covenant with them, and relented by the abundance of His loving devotion.
46 Ọ na-emekwa ka ndị ahụ dọtara ha nʼagha nwee ọmịiko nʼahụ ha.
He made them objects of compassion to all who held them captive.
47 O Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị, zọpụta anyị, chịkọta anyị site nʼaka mba dị iche iche, ka anyị nwee ike nye aha nsọ gị ekele ma nyaakwa isi nʼime otuto gị.
Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.
48 Otuto dịrị Onyenwe anyị, bụ Chineke nke Izrel, site nʼebighị ebi ruo ebighị ebi. Ka mmadụ niile sị, “Amen!” Toonu Onyenwe anyị.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Hallelujah!
