< Ilu 11 >
1 Ihe ọtụtụ aghụghọ bụ arụ nʼihu Onyenwe anyị ma ihe ọtụtụ zuru ezu na-anata ihuọma nʼebe ọ nọ.
A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah; but a just weight is his delight.
2 Nganga bịa, nlelị a na-eso ya, ma onye dị umeala nʼobi na-amụta ihe.
[When] pride cometh, then cometh shame; but with the lowly is wisdom.
3 Eziokwu nke ndị ziri ezi nʼobi na-edu ha; ma omume gbagọrọ agbagọ nke ndị aghụghọ nʼala ha nʼiyi.
The integrity of the upright guideth them; but the crookedness of the unfaithful destroyeth them.
4 Akụnụba gị agaghị azọpụta gị nʼụbọchị ikpe; ọ bụ naanị ezi omume na-anapụta site nʼọnwụ.
Wealth profiteth not in the day of wrath; but righteousness delivereth from death.
5 Ezi omume nke ndị na-enweghị ịta ụta na-eme ka ụzọ ha zie ezi, ma ajọ omume nke ndị na-emebi iwu na-akwada ha.
The righteousness of the perfect maketh plain his way; but the wicked falleth by his own wickedness.
6 Ezi omume nke onye ziri ezi na-azọpụta ya; ma ọchịchọ ọjọọ nke ndị na-aghọ aghụghọ ka a ga-eji jide ha.
The righteousness of the upright delivereth them; but the treacherous are taken in their own craving.
7 Mgbe onye ajọ omume nwụrụ, olileanya ya niile alala nʼiyi, ihe niile ọ na-ele anya inweta site nʼike ya alaakwala nʼiyi.
When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish; and the hope of evil [men] perisheth.
8 Chineke na-azọpụta ndị ezi omume site na nsogbu ha, ma ndị ajọ omume ka ọ na-ahapụ ka ha daba nʼime ya.
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9 Okwu ọjọọ ka onye ajọ omume ji emebi onye agbataobi ya. Ma site nʼihe ọmụma ka onye ezi omume ga-eji dọpụta ndụ ya.
With his mouth a hypocrite destroyeth his neighbour; but through knowledge are the righteous delivered.
10 Ọganihu nke onye ezi omume na-atọ mmadụ niile ụtọ, otu aka ahụ kwa, ọnwụ onye ajọ omume na-atọ mmadụ niile ụtọ.
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 A na-esite na ngọzị nke ndị ziri ezi bulie obodo elu, ma a nʼala ya nʼiyi site nʼokwu ọnụ ndị ajọ omume.
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted; but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 Ikwu okwu nleda megide onye agbataobi gị bụ nzuzu; ma onye ahụ nwere nghọta na-agba nkịtị.
He that despiseth his neighbour is void of heart; but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
13 Onye na-agba asịrị na-ekpughe ihe nzuzo, ma onye kwesiri ntụkwasị obi na-ekpuchi ihe nzuzo.
He that goeth about talebearing revealeth secrets; but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
14 Nʼihi enweghị ezi ndị ndu ka obodo ji ada, ma ọtụtụ ndị ezi ndụmọdụ na-eweta mmeri.
Where no advice is, the people fall; but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

A gracious woman retaineth honour; and the violent retain riches.
17 Onye nwere obiọma baara onwe ya uru, ma onye nwere obi ọjọọ na-ewetara onwe ya nsogbu.
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul; but the cruel troubleth his own flesh.
18 Onye ajọ omume na-anata ụgwọ ọrụ aghụghọ, ma onye na-agha ezi omume dịka mkpụrụ na-anata ụgwọ ọrụ kwesiri ekwesi.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work; but he that soweth righteousness hath a sure reward.
19 Onye na-eguzosi ike ime ihe ziri ezi ga-enwe ndụ; ma onye na-agbaso ihe ọjọọ ga-ahụ ọnwụ.
As righteousness [tendeth] to life, so he that pursueth evil [doeth it] to his own death.
20 Onyenwe anyị na-akpọ ndị obi ha gbagọrọ agbagọ asị ma ndị ụzọ ha na-enweghị ihe ịta ụta na-amasị ya.
The perverse in heart are abomination to Jehovah; but they that are perfect in [their] way are his delight.
21 Ọ bụ ihe doro anya na ndị na-emebi iwu ga-ata ahụhụ, ma ndị ezi omume ka a ga-anapụta.
Hand for hand! an evil [man] shall not be held innocent; but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
22 Nwanyị mara mma, nke na-enweghị uche, dịka ọlaedo a gbanyere ezi nʼimi.
A fair woman who is without discretion, is [as] a gold ring in a swine's snout.
23 Olileanya onye ezi omume bụ ọṅụ, ma onye na-emebi iwu na-ele naanị anya ihe ọjọọ.
The desire of the righteous is only good; the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 Otu onye na-agbasapụ aka ya na-enye enye ma na-enweta akụ karịa, ma onye ọzọ na-egbochi egbochi ma na-ada ogbenye.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is right, but [it tendeth] only to want.
25 E, onye na-agbasa aka ya ga-aba ọgaranya; onye ọbụla na-atụte ndị ọzọ ka a ga-atụtekwa.
The liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26 Ndị mmadụ na-abụ onye na-achịkọba mkpụrụ ọka na-ereghị ya ere ọnụ, ma ha na-ekpetara onye nke dị njikere ire nke ya ngọzị Chineke.
He that withholdeth corn, the people curse him; but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
27 Onye na-achọ ihe ọma na-enweta ihuọma, ma ihe ọjọọ na-abịakwasị onye na-achọ ya.
He that is earnest after good seeketh favour; but he that searcheth for mischief, it shall come upon him.
28 Ndị tụkwasịrị obi nʼakụnụba ha ga-ada, ma onye ezi omume ga-epupụta dịka akwụkwọ ndụ.
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a leaf.
29 Onye na-ewetara ezinaụlọ ha nsogbu ga-eketa naanị ifufe, onye nzuzu ga-abụ ohu nke onye maara ihe.
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit wind; and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30 Mkpụrụ nke ndị ezi omume bụ osisi na-enye ndụ, onye na-erita mkpụrụobi nʼuru bụ onye maara ihe.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and the wise winneth souls.

Behold, the righteous shall be requited on the earth: how much more the wicked and the sinner.
