Paul a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy a brother, to Philemon our beloved brother and fellow-laborer, and to the beloved Apphia,
2 Anyị na-edetakwara ya nzukọ Kraịst dị nʼụlọ gị, na nwanna anyị nwanyị Afịa, na Akipos onye anyị na ya so na-alụ agha a.
and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thine house,
3 Ka amara na udo nke sitere na Chineke bụ Nna, na Kraịst Jisọs Onyenwe anyị dịrị unu.
grace and peace be to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Ana m ekele Chineke ekele mgbe ọbụla m na-echeta gị nʼekpere niile m na-ekpe.
I thank my God always making mention of thee in my prayers,
5 Nʼihi na ana m anụ ihe banyere okwukwe i nwere nʼime Onyenwe anyị Jisọs, na ịhụnanya i na-egosi ndị nsọ niile.
(hearing of the faith which thou hast towards the Lord Jesus, and of thy love to all the saints, )
6 Ekpere m na-ekpe banyere gị bụ ka mmekọrịta anyị na gị dịka ndị kwere ekwe, mee ka ị matazuo ihe ọma niile anyị nwere nʼime Kraịst.
that the communication of thy faith may become effectual in the acknowledgement of all the good that is in you towards Christ Jesus:
7 Ịhụnanya gị na-enye m oke ọṅụ na ịgbaume, ezi nwanna m, nʼihi na emeela ka ndị nsọ nwee ume ọhụrụ site nʼinyeaka gị.
for we have much joy and comfort in thy love, because by thee, dear brother, the bowels of the saints are refreshed.
8 Ọ bụ ezie na-enwere m ike nʼime Kraịst inye gị iwu banyere ihe kwesiri ka i mee, ma agaghị m eme otu a.
Wherefore though I have sufficient authority in Christ to enjoin thee what is meet,
9 Kama, ọ kaara m mma site na ndabere nke ịhụnanya, ịrịọ gị ya dị ka arịrịọ. Ee, ọ bụ mụ Pọl, agadi nwoke ahụ na onye mkpọrọ nʼihi Kraịst Jisọs na-arịọ gị arịrịọ a.
I would rather intreat thee out of love to me, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner too for the sake of Jesus Christ.
10 Biko, arịọ m gị nʼisi Onisimọs, onye e mere ka ọ bụrụ nwa m oge m nọ nʼụlọ mkpọrọ.
I intreat thee then for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds,
11 Na mbụ, o nweghị uru ọbụla ọ baara gị, ma ugbu a, ọ baara mụ na gị uru.
who was formerly unprofitable to thee, but now profitable both to thee and to me; whom I have sent back to thee:
12 Ana m ezighachiri gị ya ugbu a, ya bụ, onye bụ obi m ka m na-ezitere gị.
him therefore, as my own bowels, do thou receive.
13 Ọ gụsịrị m agụụ ike ime ka mụ na ya nọdụ nʼebe a, ka o were ọnọdụ gị na-ejere m ozi ọ bụladị dị ka m nọ na mkpọrọ nʼihi oziọma.
Whom I would gladly have kept with me, that he might have ministered unto me as thou wouldst have done, in the bonds of the gospel.
14 Ma, a chọghị m ime ihe ọbụla na-enwetaghị nkwenye gị, ka ọ ghara ịdị ka i mere obiọma gị na mmanye. Kama, achọrọ m ka i mee ihe si gị nʼobi pụta.
But I would do nothing without thy knowledge, that thy kindness might not be as it were forced, but voluntary.
15 Ma eleghị anya, ọ bụ nʼihi nke a ka eji kewapụ ya nwa oge nta site nʼebe ị nọ, bụ ka i mesịa nweghachi ya ebighị ebi. (aiōnios )
For perhaps he was therefore parted from thee for a season, that thou mightest receive him for ever: (aiōnios )
16 Ọ bụghịkwa ohu ọzọ, kama ọ karịrị ohu, maka ọ dịka nwanna a hụrụ nʼanya, ọkachasị nʼebe mụ onwe m nọ, ma ọ ga-abụkwara gị karịchasịa, ma nʼanụ ahụ nakwa nʼime Onyenwe anyị.
not now as a servant, but above a servant, a dear brother, especially to me, and how much more to thee both in the flesh and in the Lord.
17 Nʼihi nke a, ọ bụrụ na ị gụrụ m dị ka onye nnwekọ ihe, nabata ya dị ka ị ga-esi nabata m.
If therefore thou accountest me a friend, receive him as thou wouldst receive me.
18 Biko, ọ bụrụ na o mejọrọ gị nʼụzọ ọbụla, ọ bụrụkwa na o ji ụgwọ ọbụla, gụọ ya dị ka ụgwọ m ji gị.
If he hath wronged thee in any thing, or is indebted to thee, place it to my accompt:
19 Mụ bụ Pọl ji aka m dee nke a; aga m akwụghachi gị. Ọ bakwaghị uru ichetara gị ụgwọ i ji m. Nʼihi na ụgwọ i ji m bụ gị onwe gị.
I Paul have written it with my own hand, I will pay it: not to say that thou indeed owest even thy own self to me.
20 Nwanna m, mere m ihe a m na-arịọ gị nʼihi Onyenwe anyị. Mekwa ka obi m dị ọhụrụ nʼime Kraịst.
Yea, my brother, let me enjoy this satisfaction from thee in the Lord: and thus refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21 Olileanya m siri m ike na ị ga-aṅa m ntị, ana m edere gị akwụkwọ a, na ị ga-eme, ma karịakwa ka m rịọrọ.
Being fully persuaded of thy compliance, I have written to thee; knowing that thou wilt indeed do more than I ask.
22 Ihe ọzọkwa, bụ na m chọrọ ka ị kwadoro m ọnụụlọ ebe m ga-anọ dị ka ọbịa ma m bịa, maka enwere m olileanya na a ga-aza ekpere unu ime ka m si nʼebe a pụta bịakwute unu.
But I must add, prepare me also a lodging; for I hope that through your prayers I shall be restored to you.
23 Epafras, onye mụ na ya nọ nʼụlọ mkpọrọ nʼihi Kraịst Jisọs na-ekele gị.
Epaphras my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus, and Marcus,
24 Mak, na Arịstakọs, na Dimas, na Luk, ndị mụ na ha na-arụkọ ọrụ na-ekelekwa unu.
Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke my fellow-laborers, salute thee.
25 Ka amara Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst dịnyere mmụọ unu.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
