Nehemaya 1
1 Nke a bụ okwu Nehemaya nwa Hakalaya: Nʼọnwa Kislev, nke afọ ahụ mere ya iri afọ abụọ nke ọchịchị Ataksekses mgbe m nọ nʼụlọeze dị na Susa,
The words of Nehemiah the sonne of Hachaliah. In ye moneth Chisleu, in the twentieth yeere, as I was in the palace of Shushan,
2 otu nwanne m nwoke aha ya bụ Hanani, na ụfọdụ ndị ọzọ sitere Juda bịara ileta m. Ajụrụ m ha ajụjụ otu ihe si agara ndị Juu ahụ fọdụrụ, ndị si ebe dị iche iche lọta, jụọkwa ha maka Jerusalem.
Came Hanam, one of my brethren, he and the men of Iudah, and I asked them concerning the Iewes that were deliuered, which were of the residue of the captiuitie, and concerning Ierusalem.
3 Ha zara si: “Ndị ahụ niile lọtara nọ nʼoke nsogbu na ihere. A kụdara mgbidi Jerusalem; e sukwara ọnụ ụzọ ama ya niile ọkụ.”
And they sayde vnto me, The residue that are left of the captiuitie there in the prouince, are in great affliction and in reproche, and the wall of Ierusalem is broken downe, and the gates thereof are burnt with fire.
4 Mgbe m nụrụ okwu ndị a, anọdụrụ m ala kwaa nnọọ akwa. Nʼezie, ajụrụ m iri ihe ọbụla ọtụtụ ụbọchị, nʼihi na eji m oge m niile kpee ekpere rịọ Chineke nke eluigwe arịrịọ,
And when I heard these wordes, I sate downe and wept, and mourned certeine dayes, and I fasted and prayed before the God of heauen,
5 si ya: “Gị, Onyenwe anyị Chineke nke eluigwe, onye dị ukwu na onye dịkwa egwu; gị onye na-edebe ọgbụgba ndụ ịhụnanya nke ndị ahụ hụrụ ya nʼanya na-edebekwa iwu ya niile. Biko nụrụ arịrịọ m.
And sayde, O Lord God of heauen, the great and terrible God, that keepeth couenant and mercy for them that loue him, and obserue his commandements,
6 Leda anya ebere gị ka ị nụrụ arịrịọ mụ bụ ohu gị na-arịọ gị ehihie na nʼabalị. Ana m ekwupụta mmehie anyị bụ ụmụ Izrel, ma nke m na ezinaụlọ nna m mere megide gị.
I pray thee, let thine eares be attet, and thine eies open, to heare the praier of thy seruat, which I pray before thee dayly, day and night for ye childre of Israel thy seruats, and confesse the sinnes of the children of Israel, which we haue sinned against thee, both I and my fathers house haue sinned:
7 Anyị emela ihe jọrọ njọ megide gị. Anyị edebeghị iwu gị na ụkpụrụ gị nke i nyere ohu gị Mosis.
We haue grieuously sinned against thee, and haue not kept the commandements, nor the statutes, nor the iudgements, which thou commandedst thy seruant Moses.
8 “Chetakwa ntụziaka inyere Mosis bụ ohu gị, na-asị, ‘Ọ bụrụ na unu emehie, mụ onwe m ga-achụsa unu nʼetiti mba dị iche iche.
I beseeche thee, remember the worde that thou commandedst thy seruant Moses, saying, Ye wil transgresse, and I will scatter you abroade among the people.
9 Ma ọ bụrụ na unu alaghachikwute m, debe ihe niile m nyere unu nʼiwu, a sikwa na a chụsara unu mee ka unu gbasaa ga nʼakụkụ niile nke ụwa, aga m achịkọta unu mee ka unu laghachi na Jerusalem bụ obodo m họpụtara nye Aha m.’
But if ye turne vnto me, and keepe my commandements, and doe them, though your scattering were to the vttermost part of the heauen, yet will I gather you from thence, and will bring you vnto the place that I haue chosen to place my Name there.
10 “Anyị bụ ndị ohu gị, bụrụkwa ndị i ji aka gị dị ike zọpụta.
Now these are thy seruants and thy people, whome thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy mightie hand.
11 Biko, Onyenwe anyị, nụrụ ekpere mụ bụ ohu gị, nụrụkwa ekpere ndị ohu gị niile ọ na-atọ ụtọ ịtụ egwu aha gị. Mee ka ihe gara ohu gị nke ọma taa site nʼimere ya ebere nʼihu nwoke a.” Nʼoge ahụ abụ m onye na-ebu ihe ọṅụṅụ eze.
O Lord, I beseech thee, let thine eare now hearken to the prayer of thy seruant, and to the prayer of thy seruants, who desire to feare thy Name, and I pray thee, cause thy seruant to prosper this day, and giue him fauour in the presence of this man: for I was the Kings butler.
