1 Onye na-ebuso gị agha na-abịakwasị gị. Chee ebe gị niile e wusiri ike nche. Chee ụzọ niile nche, mee ka ụkwụ gị sie ike nʼala. Chịkọtakwa ike gị niile.
He that dasheth in pieces is come up against thy face: keep the fortress, watch the way, make [thy] loins strong, fortify [thy] power mightily.
2 Onyenwe anyị ga-eme ka ịma mma Jekọb laghachi, dịka ịma mma nke Izrel ọ bụ ezie na ndị mbibi ebibiela ha, lakwaa alaka osisi vaịnị ha niile nʼiyi.
For Jehovah hath brought again the glory of Jacob, as the glory of Israel; for the wasters have wasted them, and marred their vine-branches.
3 Ọta ndị agha ya na-acha ọbara ọbara, ndị bụ dike nʼagha yikwa uwe na-acha uhie uhie. Igwe e ji wuo ụgbọ agha na-egbu amụma nʼụbọchị ahụ ha na-ejikere agha, otu a kwa, ha na-efegharịkwa ùbe ha eji osisi fịa mee.
The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots [glitter] with the sheen of steel, in the day of his preparation, and the spears are brandished.
4 Ụgbọ agha na-eme mkpọtụ dị ukwuu nʼezi, ha na-agbagharị ihu na azụ nʼama niile. Ha na-enwu dịka ire ọkụ, na-agbagharịkwa dịka amụma.
The chariots rush madly in the streets, they justle one against another in the broad ways: the appearance of them is like torches, they run like lightnings.
5 Ọ na-akpọkọta ndị agha ya a zụziri azụzi, ma ha na-asọ ngọngọ nʼije ha. Ha ji ọsọ gbaga ruo nʼelu mgbidi ha, dozie ọta nche ha niile nʼusoro.
He bethinketh him of his nobles: they stumble in their march; they make haste to the wall thereof, and the shelter is prepared.
6 Ma e megheela ọnụ ụzọ ama nke osimiri, ụlọeze na-amakwa jijiji.
The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace melteth away.
7 E nyela ya ka ọ bụrụ iwu na obodo a aghaghị ịbụ obodo a dọtara nʼagha. Ndị ohu ha ndị inyom so ha nʼazụ na-akwa akwa dịka nduru, na-etikwa aka nʼobi.
And it is decreed: she shall be uncovered, she shall be led away, and her maids shall moan as with the voice of doves, drumming upon their breasts.
8 Ninive dịka ọdọ mmiri nke mmiri ya na-ehifusị. “Kwụsị! Kwụsị!” ka ha na-ebe, ma ọ dịghị onye ga-ele anya nʼazụ.
Nineveh hath been like a pool of water, since the day she existed, yet they flee away. ...Stand! Stand! But none looketh back.
9 Kwakọrọnụ ọlaọcha, kwakọrọnụ ọlaedo dịka ihe a kwatara nʼagha. Akụnụba dị nʼụlọakụ ya na ihe ndị ọzọ bara uru nʼobodo ahụ, enweghị ọgwụgwụ.
Plunder the silver, plunder the gold; for there is no end of the splendid store of all precious vessels.
10 E bibiela ya. A gbahapụla ya, hapụ ya ka ọ tọgbọrọ nʼefu. Obi ndị nọ nʼime ya na-alọ mmiri, ikpere ha niile na-ama jijiji, anụ ahụ ha niile na-amakwa jijiji, ihu niile achagharịakwala.
She is empty, and void, and waste; and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and writhing pain is in all loins, and all their faces grow pale.
11 Ebeekwa ka ọgba ọdụm ahụ dị ugbu a, bụ ebe ahụ ha na-anọ enye ụmụ ha nri, ebe oke ọdụm na nne ọdụm na-ejegharị, na ebe ụmụ ọdụm na-anọ na-atụghị egwu ihe ọbụla?
Where is [now] the den of the lions, and the feeding-place of the young lions, where the lion, the lioness, [and] the lion's whelp walked, and none made them afraid?
12 Ọdụm ahụ na-adọgbu anụ na-ezuru ụmụ ya, nke na-anyagburu nne ọdụm anụ, na-ekpoju anụ ọ dọgbutara nʼụlọ ya niile. Ebe obibi ya jupụtara nʼanụ ọ dọgburu.
The lion tore in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
13 “Edoola m onwe m imegide gị,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwubiri, “Aga m esure ụgbọala gị niile nʼanwụrụ ọkụ, mma agha ga-ala ụmụ ọdụm gị niile nʼiyi. Agaghị m ahapụkwara gị anụ ọbụla ị ga-adọgbu nʼụwa. A gaghị anụkwa olu ndị ozi gị ọzọ.”
Behold, I am against thee, saith Jehovah of hosts: and I will burn her chariots into smoke; and the sword shall devour thy young lions, and I will cut off thy prey from the earth; and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
