< Maika 7 >
1 Ahụhụ dịrị m! Adị m ka onye na-achịkọta mkpụrụ osisi vaịnị nʼọkọchị, mgbe a ghọkọtachara mkpụrụ dị nʼubi vaịnị. O nweghị ụyọkọ mkpụrụ vaịnị ọbụla fọdụrụ nke e nwere ike ịta, o nwekwaghị mkpụrụ fiig buru ụzọ chaa nke agụ ya na-agụsị m ike
Woe is me! I live where the summer fruits are gathered, And the vintage is gleaned; There is no cluster to eat; I long for the first-ripe fig.
The good man is perished from the land, And there is none upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every one hunteth his brother with a net.
3 Ọrụ nke aka ha abụọ na-arụpụta nke ọma bụ ajọ omume. Onyeisi na-ana onyinye, onye ọkaikpe na-eri ngarị, ndị dị ike na-atụpụta ihe masịrị ha, si otu a na-akpagbu eziokwu.
Their hands are diligent for evil; The prince asketh a bribe, And the judge decideth for money! The great man giveth judgment according to his desire; They conspire to pervert justice.
The best of them is like a brier; The most upright of them is sharper than a thorn-hedge. The day of recompense, announced by thy watchmen, cometh; Then shall come their perplexity.
5 Ekwenyerela onye agbataobi gị, atụkwasịla onye bụ ezi enyi gị obi. Kpachara anya gị, nʼihe gbasara okwu ọnụ gị, ọbụla dị nʼebe nwunye gị nọ.
Trust ye not in a friend! Put no confidence in a guide! From her that lieth in thy bosom Keep the doors of thy mouth!
6 Nʼihi na nwa na-elelị nna ya anya. Nwa nwanyị na-ebili megide nne ya. Nwunye nwa megidekwa nne di ya, ndị iro mmadụ bụ ndị ezinaụlọ ya.
For the son dishonoreth his father, The daughter riseth up against her mother, And the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; The inmates of a man's house are his foes.
7 Ma mụ onwe m, ana m ele Onyenwe anyị anya nʼihi inyeaka ya. Eji m olileanya na-echere Chineke Onye nzọpụta m. Chineke m ga-anụ olu m.
I will look to Jehovah; I will hope in the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.
8 Achịkwala m ọchị gị onye iro m. Mgbe m dara, aga m ebilitekwa. Mgbe m nọ nʼime ọchịchịrị, Onyenwe anyị nʼonwe ya ga-abụ ihe m.
Rejoice not over me, O my enemy! Though I have fallen, I shall arise; Though I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be my light.
9 Nʼihi na m emehiela megide ya, aga m anabatara onwe m ahụhụ nke ọnụma Onyenwe anyị, tutu ruo mgbe ọ ga-ekpe ikpe m, mee ka m guzosie ike. Ọ ga-akpọpụta m nʼìhè; aga m elekwasịkwa ezi omume ya anya.
I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, Because I have sinned against him, Until he maintain my cause, and execute judgment for me, Until he bring me to the light, And I behold his mercy.
10 Mgbe ahụ, ndị iro m ga-ahụ, ihere ga-ekpuchi onye ahụ sịrị m, “Olee ebe Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ahụ nọ.” Aga m eji anya m hụ mgbe ọ ga-ada, ọ bụladị dịka e si na-azọ ya ụkwụ, dịka apịtị dị nʼokporoụzọ.
She that is my enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her, That said to me, Where is Jehovah thy God? Mine eyes shall gaze upon her; Soon shall she be trodden down, as the mire of the streets.
11 Ụbọchị a ga-ewugharị mgbidi gị niile na-abịa; ụbọchị a ga-eme ka oke ala gị saa mbara.
The day cometh when thy walls are to be built; In that day shall the decree be far removed.
12 Nʼụbọchị ahụ, ha ga-abịakwute gị, site na Asịrịa ruo na obodo niile nke Ijipt, sitekwa nʼIjipt ruo Yufretis, site nʼosimiri ruo osimiri, sitekwa nʼugwu ruo nʼugwu.
In that day shall they come to thee From Assyria, and the cities of Egypt, And from Egypt to the river, From sea to sea, from mountain to mountain.
13 Ma ụwa ga-aghọ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu nʼihi ndị bi nʼime ya, iji kwụọ ha ụgwọ ihe ọjọọ niile ha mere.
But first the land shall be desolate on account of its inhabitants, For the fruit of their doings.
14 Were mkpanaka gị zụọ ndị gị, bụ igwe ewu na atụrụ nke ihe nketa gị, ndị bi naanị ha nʼoke ọhịa, nʼebe ịta nri nke ahịhịa ndụ jupụtara.
Feed thy people with thy crook, The flock of thine inheritance, That dwell solitarily in the forest in the midst of Carmel! Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
15 “Dịka nʼụbọchị ahụ unu sitere nʼIjipt pụta, aga m egosi ha ọrụ ịtụnanya m niile.”
As in the day when thou camest from Egypt, So will I show thee wonders.
The nations shall see, and be ashamed of all their might: They shall lay their hands upon their mouths; Their ears shall be deaf.
They shall lick the dust like the serpent; Like the creeping things of the earth, they shall come trembling from their strongholds; To Jehovah our God shall they come with awe, And shall fear on account of thee.
18 Onye bụ chi ahụ dịka gị, nke na-agbaghara ma na-ehichapụ mmehie na njehie nke ndị fọdụrụ afọdụ nʼetiti ihe nketa gị? Ị naghị anọgide na-ewe iwe ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, kama ị bụ onye ọ na-atọ ụtọ inwe obi ebere.
Who is a God like thee, that pardoneth iniquity and passeth by transgression, In the remnant of his inheritance? He retaineth not his anger forever, For he delighteth in mercy.
19 Ọ ga-emekwara anyị ebere ọzọ. Ọ ga-azọdakwa mmehie anyị nʼokpuru ukwu ya, Ị ga-atụbakwa mmehie anyị niile nʼebe dịkarịsịrị omimi nke oke osimiri.
He will again have compassion on us, He will blot out our iniquities; Yea, thou wilt cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.
20 Ị ga-egosi Jekọb ntụkwasị obi, gosikwa Ebraham ịhụnanya gị, dịka ị ṅụọrọ nna nna anyị ha nʼiyi, site na mgbe ochie.
Thou wilt show faithfulness to Jacob, And mercy to Abraham, Which thou swarest to our fathers from the days of old.
