< Matiu 9 >

1 Jisọs banyekwara nʼụgbọ mmiri nke kwọọrọ ya bịaruo nʼobodo nke ya.
And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2 Ndị ikom ụfọdụ butere ya otu nwoke akụkụ ahụ ya kpọnwụrụ akpọnwụ, bụ onye dina nʼute. Mgbe Jisọs hụrụ okwukwe ndị ahụ, ọ gwara onye ọrịa ahụ okwu sị ya, “Nwee obi ike nwa m nwoke nʼihi na a gbagharala gị mmehie gị niile.”
And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; your sins be forgiven you.
3 Nʼoge a, ụfọdụ ndị ozizi iwu nke ndị Juu nọ nʼebe ahụ sịrịtara onwe ha, “Nwoke a na-ekwulu Chineke.”
And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemes.
4 Ma ebe Jisọs matara ihe ha na-eche nʼobi ha, ọ sịrị, “Gịnị mere unu ji na-eche ajọ echiche nʼobi unu?
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think all of you evil in your hearts?
5 Olee nke ka mfe ikwu? Ọ bụ ị sị, ‘A gbagharala gị mmehie gị niile,’ ka ọ bụ ị sị, ‘Bilie jee ije’?
For whether is easier, to say, Your sins be forgiven you; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6 Ma ka unu mata na Nwa nke Mmadụ nwere ikike nʼụwa ịgbaghara mmehie.” Ọ sịrị onye ahụ akụkụ ahụ ya kpọnwụrụ akpọnwụ, “Bilie, chịrị ute gị laa!”
But that all of you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then says he to the sick of the palsy, ) Arise, take up your bed, and go unto your house.
7 Nwoke ahụ biliri, chịrị ute ya laa nʼụlọ ya.
And he arose, and departed to his house.
8 Mgbe igwe mmadụ a hụrụ ihe ahụ mere, akpata oyi jụrụ ha nʼahụ nʼihi egwu. Ha tokwara Chineke onye na-enye ụmụ mmadụ ikike dị otu a.
But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
9 Mgbe Jisọs si nʼebe ahụ na-aga, ọ hụrụ otu nwoke a na-akpọ Matiu ka ọ nọdụrụ ala nʼụlọ ịnakọta ụtụ. Ọ sịrị ya, “Soro m.” Na-atụfughị oge, ọ hapụrụ ihe niile soro ya.
And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he says unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
10 Dị ka ọ nọdụrụ ala iri nri uhuruchi nʼụlọ Matiu, ọtụtụ ndị ọna ụtụ na ndị mmehie sooro ya na ndị na-eso ụzọ ya nọdụ na-eri nri.
And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at food in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eats your Master with publicans and sinners?
12 Mgbe ọ nụrụ nke a, Jisọs sịrị, “Mkpa dibịa adịghị akpa ndị ahụ dị ike, kama ọ bụ ndị ahụ na-esighị ike ka mkpa dibịa na-akpa.
But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13 Ma gaanụ mụta ihe okwu a pụtara, ‘Ana m achọ ebere, ọ bụghị aja.’Nʼihi na abịaghị m ịkpọ ndị ezi omume, kama abịara m ịkpọ ndị mmehie.”
But go all of you and learn what that means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
14 Emesịa, ndị na-eso ụzọ Jọn bịara jụọ ya ajụjụ sị, “Gịnị mere ndị na-eso ụzọ gị adịghị ebu ọnụ dị ka anyị onwe anyị na ndị Farisii na-eme?”
Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples fast not?
And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bride-chamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
16 “Ọ dịghị onye na-eji akwa ọhụrụ kwachie ebe akwa ochie siri dọkaa, nʼihi na akwa ahụ ga-esi nʼebe a kwachiri ya dọwaa; mee ka ọ dị njọ karịa ka ọ dị na mbụ.
No man puts a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up takes from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
17 Ọ dịkwaghị onye ga-etinye mmanya ọhụrụ nʼime karama akpụkpọ ochie, nʼihi na karama ochie ahụ ga-agbawa mee ka mmanya ọhụrụ ahụ wufuo. Kama ọ dị mma itinye mmanya ọhụrụ nʼime karama akpụkpọ ọhụrụ, nke ga-echekwa ha abụọ nke ọma.”
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runs out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
18 Mgbe ọ nọ na-ekwu okwu, otu onyeisi ụlọ ekpere bịara kpọọ isiala nye ya, sị, “Ọ dịbeghị anya nwa m nwanyị nwụrụ. Otu ọ dị, bịa ka ị bikwasị ya aka gị. Ọ ga-ebili dịkwa ndụ ọzọ.”
While he spoke these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay your hand upon her, and she shall live.
19 Nʼihi nke a, Jisọs soro ya gawa. Ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sokwara ha.
And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.
20 Ma o nwere otu nwanyị onye ahụ na-esighị ike. Nwanyị a anọọla nʼọrịa a afọ iri na abụọ. Ọ bụkwa ọrịa oruru ọbara nke na-adịghị akwụsị akwụsị ka ọ na-arịa. Nwanyị a sitere nʼazụ bịaruo ya nso, metụ ọnụ uwe ya aka.
And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
21 Nʼihi na o kwuolarị nʼime obi ya sị, “Ọ bụrụ nnọọ na m ga-enwe ike metụ ọnụ uwe ya aka, a ga-agwọ m.”
For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
22 Jisọs chigharịrị lee ya anya sị ya, “Ada m, nwee obi ike, nʼihi na e sitela nʼokwukwe gị mee ka ahụ dị gị mma.” Ahụ dịkwara nwanyị ahụ mma site nʼoge ahụ.
But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; your faith has made you whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
23 Mgbe Jisọs batara nʼụlọ onyendu ụlọ ekpere ndị Juu ahụ, hụ igwe mmadụ ka ha na-atụ ụzụ na ndị na-egbu ọja.
And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,
24 Ọ sịrị ha, “Sinụ ebe a pụọ, nwata nwanyị a anwụghị anwụ, kama ọ nọ nʼụra.” Ma ha chịrị ya ọchị.
He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleeps. And they laughed him to scorn.
25 Ma mgbe achụpụsịrị igwe mmadụ ahụ, ọ banyere nʼime ụlọ, jide nwata nwanyị ahụ nʼaka, o bilie ọtọ.
But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.
26 Akụkọ ọrụ ebube a gbasara nʼebe niile nʼala ahụ.
And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, You son of David, have mercy on us.
And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus says unto them, Believe all of you that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 O metụrụ ha aka nʼanya sị ha, “Ya dịrị unu dị ka okwukwe unu si dị.”
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 Ngwangwa ndị ìsì ahụ bidoro ịhụ ụzọ. Jisọs maara ha ọkwa sị ha “Unu agwakwala onye ọbụla.”
And their eyes were opened; and Jesus strictly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
32 Mgbe ndị a sitere nʼebe ahụ pụọ, ndị ọzọ buteere ya nwoke dara ogbi, onye mmụọ ọjọọ bikwa nʼime ya.
As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.
33 Mgbe ọ chụpụrụ mmụọ ọjọọ ahụ, onye ogbi ahụ bidoro ikwu okwu. Ibubo nwụrụ igwe mmadụ nọ nʼebe ahụ. Ha sịrị, “Anyị ahụtụbeghị ihe dị otu a nʼala Izrel.”
And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spoke: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
34 Ma ndị Farisii sịrị, “Ọ bụ ekwensu, eze ndị mmụọ ọjọọ, na-enye ya ike ịchụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ.”
But the Pharisees said, He casts out devils through the prince of the devils.
35 Jisọs jegharịrị nʼobodo niile na ogbe niile dị nʼebe ahụ, ma ndị ukwu na ndị nta, na-ezi ihe nʼụlọ ekpere ndị Juu, na-ekwusakwa oziọma nke alaeze ahụ. Ọ na-agwọkwa ọrịa na nrịa nrịa niile dị iche iche.
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Mgbe ahụ, ọ sịrị ndị na-eso ụzọ ya, “Owuwe ihe ubi hiri nne nʼezie. Ma ndị ọrụ dị ole na ole.
Then says he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is abundant, but the labourers are few;
38 Ya mere, rịọọnụ Onyenwe owuwe ihe ubi ka o zite ndị ọrụ nʼowuwe ihe ubi ya.”
Pray all of you therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
