< Matiu 24 >
1 Mgbe Jisọs si nʼụlọnsọ ahụ na-apụ, ndị na-eso ụzọ ya bịakwutere ya na-achọ igosi ya akụkụ dị iche iche nke ụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ.
As Jesus left the temple and was walking away, His disciples came up to Him to point out its buildings.
2 Ma ọ zara ha sị, “Unu hụrụ ihe ndị a niile? Nʼezie agwa m unu, oge na-abịa mgbe ọ bụladị otu nkume na-agaghị adịgidekwa nʼelu ibe ya, nke a na-agaghị akwatu nʼala.”
“Do you see all these things?” He replied. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
3 Mgbe ọ nọdụrụ ala nʼelu Ugwu Oliv, ndị na-eso ụzọ ya bịakwutere ya iche, sị, “Gwa anyị, olee mgbe ihe ndị a ga-emezu? Gịnị ga-abụkwa ihe ịrịbama nke oge i ji alọghachi na nke ọgwụgwụ ụwa a?” (aiōn )
While Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” (aiōn )
4 Jisọs zara ha sị, “Lezienụ anya ka onye ọbụla ghara iduhie unu ụzọ.
Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you.
5 Nʼihi na ọtụtụ ga-abịa nʼaha m, na-ekwu sị, ‘Abụ m Kraịst ahụ.’ Ha ga-eduhiekwa ọtụtụ ndị ụzọ.
For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
6 Mgbe unu nụrụ ụzụ agha, na akụkọ agha dị iche iche, unu atụla egwu, nʼihi na ihe ndị a aghaghị ime. Ma ha anaghị egosi na ọgwụgwụ oge eruola.
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7 Mba ga-ebili megide mba ibe ya, alaeze ga-ebilikwa megide alaeze ọzọ; oke ụnwụ, na ala ọma jijiji ga-adịkwa nʼọtụtụ ebe dị iche iche.
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8 Ma ihe ndị a niile bụ naanị mmalite ịta ahụhụ nke ga-abịa.
All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Mgbe ahụ ha ga-arara unu nyefee nʼaka ndị ga-ata unu ahụhụ. Ha ga-egbukwa unu. Mba niile ga-akpọ unu asị nʼihi m.
Then they will deliver you over to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.
10 Ọtụtụ ga-ada site nʼokwukwe ha nʼoge ahụ. Ha ga-emekwa ka ibe ha ma nʼọnya, kpọọkwa ibe ha asị.
At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another,
11 Mgbe ahụ ọtụtụ ndị amụma ụgha ga-apụta. Ha ga-eduhiekwa ọtụtụ mmadụ.
and many false prophets will arise and mislead many.
12 Nʼihi na ajọ omume bara ụba nʼebe niile, ịhụnanya ọtụtụ ndị mmadụ nʼebe ibe ha nọ ga-ajụ oyi.
Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.
13 Ma onye ga-eguzosi ike ruo ọgwụgwụ ka a ga-azọpụta.
But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
14 A ga-ekwusa oziọma nke alaeze ahụ nye ụwa niile ka ọ bụrụ ihe ama nye mba niile. Emesịa ọgwụgwụ oge ahụ ga-abịa.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 “Ya mere, mgbe unu hụrụ ihe arụ nke na-eweta mbibi, nke e kwuru okwu ya site nʼọnụ Daniel onye amụma, ka ọ na-eguzo nʼebe nsọ (onye na-agụ ya nwee nghọta ihe ọ pụtara).
So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination of desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand),
16 Mgbe ahụ, ka ndị nọ na Judịa were ọsọ gbalaga nʼelu ugwu.
then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
17 Ka onye nọ nʼelu ụlọ ghara ịrịdata ka ọ banye nʼime ụlọ ya, ịkwapụta ngwongwo dị nʼime ụlọ ya.
Let no one on the housetop come down to retrieve anything from his house.
18 Ka onye nọ nʼubi ghara ịlọghachi nʼụlọ ya ịchịrị uwe ya.
And let no one in the field return for his cloak.
19 Ma ịta ahụhụ ga-adịrị ndị nwanyị di ime, na ndị na-enye ụmụaka ara nʼụbọchị ahụ
How miserable those days will be for pregnant and nursing mothers!
20 Kpesienụ ekpere ike ka unu ghara ịgba ọsọ a nʼoge oke oyi, maọbụ nʼụbọchị izuike.
Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or on the Sabbath.
21 Nʼihi na oke mkpagbu ga-adị, ụdị nke ụwa na-ahụbeghị mbụ, na nke anya na-agaghị ahụkwa ọzọ site na mmalite ụwa ruo mgbe ahụ.
For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again.
22 “Ọ bụrụ na-emeghị ka ụbọchị ndị ahụ dị mkpụmkpụ, o nweghị onye a ga-azọpụta, ma nʼihi ndị ya ọ họpụtara, ụbọchị ndị ahụ ga-adị mkpụmkpụ.
If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.
23 Mgbe ahụ, ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla asị unu, ‘Lee, Kraịst nọ nʼebe a,’ maọbụ, ‘Lee ya nʼebe ahụ,’ unu ekwela.
At that time, if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it.
24 Nʼihi na ndị nzọpụta ụgha na ndị amụma ụgha ga-apụta. Ha ga-eme ihe oke ịrịbama na ọrụ ebube dị iche iche. Ọ bụrụ na ọ ga-ekwe mee, ha ga-esite nʼọrụ ebube ha ga-arụ duhie, ọ bụladị ndị ahụ a họpụtara.
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible.
25 Lee, agwala m unu ihe ndị a, mgbe ha na-emebeghị.
See, I have told you in advance.
26 “Ya mere, ọ bụrụ na ha asị unu, ‘Lee, ọ nọ nʼime ọzara,’ unu agakwala. Ọ bụrụkwa na ha asị unu, ‘Lee, ọ nọ nʼime ime ụlọ,’ unu ekwela.
So if they tell you, ‘There He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
27 Nʼihi na ọbịbịa Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-adị ka amụma na-egbu nʼọwụwa anyanwụ nke a na-ahụ anya nʼọdịda anyanwụ.
For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
28 Matakwanụ na ebe ọbụla ozu dị, nʼebe ahụ ka udele na-ezukọta.
Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.
29 “Ngwangwa mgbe mkpagbu nke ụbọchị ndị ahụ niile gabigasịrị, “‘anyanwụ ga-agba ọchịchịrị. Ọnwa agaghị enyekwa ìhè, kpakpando ga-esi na mbara eluigwe daa, ike niile nke eluigwe ga-ama jijiji.’
Immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’
30 “Nʼoge ahụ akara ngosi nke Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-apụta ihe na mbara eluigwe. Agbụrụ niile nke ụwa ga-anọkwa na-eru ụjụ. Ha ga-ahụ Nwa nke Mmadụ ka ọ na-abịa nʼigwe ojii, nʼike nakwa oke ebube.
At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
31 Ọ ga-ewerekwa olu opi ike zipụ ndị mmụọ ozi ka ha gaa kpọkọtaa ndị niile a họpụtara site nʼakụkụ anọ niile nke eluigwe na ụwa.
And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
32 “Ugbu a mụtanụ ihe site nʼosisi fiig. Mgbe ọbụla alaka ya malitere iwepụta ome dị nro, na-epupụtakwa akwụkwọ ndụ maranụ na ọkọchị na-abịa nso.
Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and sprout leaves, you know that summer is near.
33 Otu a kwa, mgbe unu na-ahụ ihe ndị a niile ka ha na-eme marakwanụ na ọ nọ nso, ọ bụladị nʼọnụ ụzọ unu.
So also, when you see all these things, you will know that He is near, right at the door.
34 Nʼezie agwa m unu, ihe ndị a niile aghaghị imezu tupu ọgbọ a agabiga.
Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened.
35 Eluigwe na ụwa ga-agabiga, ma okwu m enweghị ike ịgabiga.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.
36 “Ma o nweghị onye ọbụla maara ụbọchị ahụ, maọbụ oge awa ahụ ga-abụ. Ọ bụladị ndị mmụọ ozi nọ nʼeluigwe amaghị ya. Ọkpara ahụ amakwaghị. Ọ bụ naanị Nna maara ya.
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
37 Ọbịbịa Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-adị ka ọ dị nʼụbọchị Noa.
As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
38 Nʼoge ahụ tupu iju mmiri ahụ abịa, ndị mmadụ nọ na-eri na aṅụ, na-emekwa mmemme ọlụlụ di na nwunye, ruo ụbọchị Noa banyere nʼime ụgbọ mmiri ya.
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark.
39 Ha amataghị ihe ga-eme tutu oke mmiri ahụ abịa kpochapụ ha niile. Otu ahụ ka ọbịbịa Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-adị.
And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
40 Mmadụ abụọ ga na-arụkọ ọrụ nʼubi ha, a ga-ewepụ otu hapụkwa onye nke ọzọ.
Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
41 Ụmụ nwanyị abụọ ga na-akwọ nri na nkume igwe nri, a ga-ewere otu, ma hapụkwa nke ọzọ.
Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
42 “Nʼihi nke a, na-echenụ nche, nʼihi na unu amaghị ụbọchị Onyenwe unu ga-abịa.
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come.
43 Ma ghọtanụ nke a: Ọ bụrụ na nna nwe ụlọ mara oge onye ohi ga-abịa nʼụlọ ya nʼabalị, ọ ga-anọ na nche nʼoge ahụ. Ọ gaghị ekwe ka onye ohi kụwaa ụlọ ya.
But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
44 Otu a ka unu onwe unu pụrụ isi nọgide na nche oge niile, nʼihi na Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-abịa nʼoge awa unu na-atụghị anya ya.
For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.
45 “Onye bụ ohu ahụ nke kwesiri ntụkwasị obi ma nwekwa uche, nke onyenwe ya mere onyeisi ndị ohu nọ nʼezinaụlọ ya, ka ọ na-enye ha nri nʼoge ya?
Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time?
46 Ngọzị na-adịrị ohu ahụ, onye, mgbe onyenwe ya ga-alọghachi hụ na ọ na-eme otu a.
Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.
47 Nʼezie asị m unu, ọ ga-eme ya onyeisi nke ihe niile o nwere.
Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
48 Ma ọ bụrụ na ohu ahụ bụ onye ajọọ omume na-asị onwe ya, ‘Nna m ukwu anọọla ogologo oge,’
But suppose that servant is wicked and says in his heart, ‘My master will be away a long time.’
49 ọ bụrụkwa na o bido iti ndị ohu ibe ya ihe, sorokwa ndị ọṅụ oke mmanya na-eri, na-aṅụ.
And he begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
50 Nna ukwu ohu ahụ ga-alọta nʼụbọchị ọ na-atụghị anya, nʼoge awa ọ na-amakwaghị.
The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate.
51 Ọ ga-egburisikwa ya, nye ya ọnọdụ nʼetiti ebe ndị ihu abụọ nọ. Ebe e nwere ịkwa akwa na ịta ikikere eze.
Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
