< Matiu 12 >
1 Nʼoge ahụ, Jisọs sitere nʼubi a kụrụ ọka na-agafe nʼụbọchị izuike.
At that time Jesus went on the sabbath through the cornfields; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears and to eat.
2 Mgbe ndị Farisii hụrụ nke a, ha sịrị ya, “Lee, ndị na-eso ụzọ gị na-eme ihe na-ezighị ezi ime nʼụbọchị izuike!”
But the Pharisees, seeing [it], said to him, Behold, thy disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on sabbath.
3 Ma ọ zara ha sị, “Ọ bụ na unu agụtaghị ihe Devid na ndị ya na ha soo mere mgbe agụụ na-agụ ha?
But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him?
4 Otu o si banye nʼụlọ Chineke, ya na ndị so ya, rie achịcha a na-eche nʼihu Chineke, nke na-ezighị ezi nʼiwu ka ha rie, kama ọ dịịrị naanị ndị nchụaja iri ya.
How he entered into the house of God, and ate the shewbread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests only?
5 Ka ọ bụ na unu agụtabeghị ebe e dere ya nʼime akwụkwọ iwu Mosis na ndị nchụaja na-emerụ ụbọchị izuike nʼụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ, ma ọ dịghị onye na-ata ha ụta?
Or have ye not read in the law that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
6 Ma ana m agwa unu na onye dị ukwuu karịa ụlọnsọ ukwu nọ nʼebe a.
But I say unto you, that there is here what is greater than the temple.
7 Ọ bụrụ na unu ghọtara ihe akwụkwọ nsọ na-ekwu mgbe ọ na-asị, ‘Ana m achọ ebere, ọ bụghị aja.’Unu agaraghị ama ndị ikpe na-amaghị ikpe.
But if ye had known what is: I will have mercy and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
8 Nʼihi na Nwa nke Mmadụ bụ Onyenwe ụbọchị izuike.”
For the Son of man is Lord of the sabbath.
9 O sitere nʼebe ahụ pụọ banye nʼụlọ nzukọ ha.
And, going away from thence, he came into their synagogue.
10 Nʼebe a ka ọ hụrụ otu nwoke aka ya kpọnwụrụ akpọnwụ. Ndị nọ nʼebe ahụ jụrụ ya ajụjụ sị, “O ziri ezi nʼiwu ịgwọ mmadụ nʼụbọchị izuike?”
And behold, there was a man having his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath? that they might accuse him.
11 Ma ọ zara ha sị, “Ọ bụrụ na otu onye nʼime unu nwere otu atụrụ danyere nʼime olulu nʼụbọchị izuike gịnị ka ọ ga-eme? Ọ ga-ahapụ ya nʼebe ahụ? Ọ gaghị ejide ya dọpụta ya?
But he said to them, What man shall there be of you who has one sheep, and if this fall into a pit on the sabbath, will not lay hold of it and raise [it] up?
12 Mmadụ ọ dịghị mkpa karịa atụrụ? Ya mere, o ziri ezi nʼiwu bụ ịrụ ọrụ ọma nʼụbọchị izuike.”
How much better then is a man than a sheep! So that it is lawful to do well on the sabbath.
13 Mgbe ahụ ọ sịrị nwoke ahụ, “Setịpụ aka gị.” Nwoke ahụ setịpụrụ aka ya. Aka ahụ dịkwara ya mma dị ka aka nke ọzọ.
Then he says to the man, Stretch out thy hand. And he stretched [it] out, and it was restored sound as the other.
14 Nʼihi nke a ndị Farisii sitere nʼebe ahụ pụọ, ga gbaa izu otu ha ga-esi gbuo ya.
But the Pharisees, having gone out, took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.
But Jesus knowing [it], withdrew thence, and great crowds followed him; and he healed them all:
16 Ma o nyere ha iwu ka ha hapụ ịgwa ndị ọzọ onye ọ bụ.
and charged them strictly that they should not make him publicly known:
17 Nke a bụ ka emezuo okwu ahụ Aịzaya onye amụma kwuru,
that that might be fulfilled which was spoken through Esaias the prophet, saying,
18 “Onye a bụ onye na-ejere m ozi, onye m họpụtara. Onye m hụkwara nʼanya. O bụkwa onye ihe ya na-atọ m ụtọ. Aga m etinye Mmụọ m nʼime ya. Ọ ga-eme ka ikpe ziri ezi rute mba niile aka.
Behold my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul has found its delight. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall shew forth judgment to the nations.
19 Ọ gaghị ese okwu, ọ gaghị etisikwa mkpu ike. O nweghị onye ga-anụ olu okwu ya nʼezi.
He shall not strive or cry out, nor shall any one hear his voice in the streets;
20 Ọ gaghị agbaji ahịhịa riidi azọpịara nʼala, maọbụ menyụọ ogho oriọna na-enwu ntakịrị ntakịrị, tutu ruo mgbe ọ ga-eme ka ikpe ziri ezi merie.
a bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, until he bring forth judgment unto victory;
21 Ọ bụkwa nʼaha ya ka mba niile dị nʼụwa ga-atụkwasị olileanya ha.”
and on his name shall [the] nations hope.
Then was brought to him one possessed by a demon, blind and dumb, and he healed him, so that the dumb [man] spake and saw.
23 Ihe a juru igwe mmadụ nọ nʼebe ahụ anya. Nʼihi ya, ha kwuru sị, “Nwoke a, ọ ga-abụ Nwa Devid?”
And all the crowds were amazed and said, Is this [man] the Son of David?
24 Mgbe ndị Farisii nụrụ nke a, ha sịrị, “Nwoke a chụpụrụ mmụọ ọjọọ a nʼihi na Belzebub, eze ndị mmụọ ọjọọ, nyere ya ike ịchụpụ ya.”
But the Pharisees, having heard [it], said, This [man] does not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub, prince of demons.
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not subsist.
And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom subsist?
27 Dị ka unu kwuru, ọ bụrụ na m na-achụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ site nʼike Belzebub, ọ bụ nʼike onye ka ụmụ unu ndị ikom na-achụpụ ha? Ya mere, ọ bụ ụmụ unu ga-ekpe unu ikpe nʼihi okwu a unu kwuru.
And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, your sons, by whom do they cast [them] out? For this reason they shall be your judges.
28 Ma ọ bụrụ na m na-esite nʼike Mmụọ nke Chineke na-achụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ, matakwanụ na alaeze Chineke abịala nʼetiti unu.
But if I by [the] Spirit of God cast out demons, then indeed the kingdom of God is come upon you.
29 “Ọ dịghị mmadụ ọbụla pụrụ ịbanye nʼụlọ nwoke dị ike kwakọrọ ngwongwo niile dị nʼụlọ ahụ. Ma o nwere ike ime nke a ma ọ bụrụ na ọ ga-eburu ụzọ kee nwoke ahụ agbụ? Mgbe o kesịrị ya agbụ, o nwere ike ịbanye kwakọtaa ngwongwo niile dị nʼụlọ nwoke ahụ.
Or how can any one enter into the house of the strong [man] and plunder his goods, unless first he bind the strong [man]? and then he will plunder his house.
30 “Onye ọbụla na-adịnyeghịrị m na-emegide m. Onye ọ bụlakwa na-adịghị eso m ekpokọta, na-ekposa ekposa.
He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters.
For this reason I say unto you, Every sin and injurious speaking shall be forgiven to men, but speaking injuriously of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.
32 Onye ọbụla nke ga-ekwu okwu megide Nwa nke Mmadụ, a ga-agbaghara ya, ma onye ọbụla na-ekwu megide Mmụọ Nsọ, agaghị agbaghara ya, nʼọgbọ a maọbụ nʼọgbọ nke na-abịa. (aiōn )
And whosoever shall have spoken a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming [one].
Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt. For from the fruit the tree is known.
34 Ụmụ ajụala, olee otu unu ga-esi kwuo okwu dị mma, ebe obi unu dị njọ? Nʼihi na ihe mmadụ kwuru bụ ihe si ya nʼobi pụta.
Offspring of vipers! how can ye speak good things, being wicked? For of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
35 Ezi mmadụ na-esi nʼezi akụ ya wepụta ihe dị mma, ma ajọ mmadụ na-esitekwa nʼajọ akụ ya wepụta ajọọ ihe.
The good man out of the good treasure brings forth good things; and the wicked man out of the wicked treasure brings forth wicked things.
36 Ma ana m agwa unu sị, nʼụbọchị ikpe ahụ, onye ọbụla ga-aza ajụjụ, banyere okwu niile na-enweghị isi o kwuru.
But I say unto you, that every idle word which men shall say, they shall render an account of it in judgment-day:
37 Nʼihi na ọ bụ site nʼokwu ọnụ gị ka ị ga-abụ onye ikpe mara, sitekwa nʼokwu ọnụ gị ka ị ga-abụ onye ikpe na-amaghị.”
for by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
38 Mgbe ahụ, ụfọdụ ndị ozizi iwu na ndị Farisii gwara Jisọs sị ya, “Onye nkuzi, anyị chọrọ ka i gosi anyị ihe ịrịbama.”
Then answered him some of the scribes and Pharisees, saying, Teacher, we desire to see a sign from thee.
But he, answering, said to them, A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it save the sign of Jonas the prophet.
40 Nʼihi na dị ka Jona nọrọ ụbọchị atọ, ehihie na abalị nʼafọ azụ dị ukwuu, otu a ka Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-esi nọọkwa ụbọchị atọ, ehihie na abalị nʼobi nke ala.
For even as Jonas was in the belly of the great fish three days and three nights, thus shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
Ma lee onye karịrị Jona ukwuu nọ nʼebe a.
Ninevites shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and behold, more than Jonas [is] here.
42 Nʼụbọchị ikpe ahụ kwa, eze nwanyị nke Ndịdaga-eso ọgbọ a bilie boo ya ebubo. Ọ ga-amakwa unu ikpe. Nʼihi na o siri nʼebe dị ụwa sọtụrụ bịa nụrụ okwu amamihe Solomọn. Ma ugbu a onye ahụ dị ukwuu karịa Solomọn nọ nʼebe a, ma unu jụrụ i kwere na ya.
A queen of [the] south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, more than Solomon [is] here.
43 “Mgbe mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha si nʼime mmadụ pụọ, ọ na-agabiga nʼọzara ebe mmiri na-adịghị ịchọ ebe izuike, ma ọ naghị achọta ya.
But when the unclean spirit has gone out of the man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and does not find [it].
Then he says, I will return to my house whence I came out; and having come, he finds [it] unoccupied, swept, and adorned.
45 Mgbe ahụ, ọ na-apụ gaa chọta mmụọ asaa ọzọ, ndị dị njọ karịa ya onwe ya. Ha niile na-abata bịa biri nʼime onye ahụ. Mee ka ọnọdụ ya dị njọ karịa ka ọ dị na mbụ. Otu a ka ọ ga-adịrị ndị bi nʼọgbọ a jọrọ njọ.”
Then he goes and takes with himself seven other spirits worse than himself, and entering in, they dwell there; and the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first. Thus shall it be to this wicked generation also.
But while he was yet speaking to the crowds, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, seeking to speak to him.
47 Otu onye nʼime igwe mmadụ ahụ gwara ya okwu sị, “Lee, nne gị na ụmụnne gị ndị nwoke na-achọ ịhụ gị nʼezi. Ha chọrọ ịgwa gị okwu.”
Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren are standing without, seeking to speak to thee.
48 Ma ọ zara onye ahụ gwara ya okwu sị, “Onye bụ nne m? Olee ndị bụ ụmụnne m ndị nwoke?”
But he answering said to him that spoke to him, Who is my mother, and who are my brethren?
49 Ọ tụrụ ndị na-eso ụzọ ya aka, sị, “Lee, ndị a bụ nne m na ụmụnne m ndị nwoke.
And, stretching out his hand to his disciples, he said, Behold my mother and my brethren;
50 Nʼihi na onye ọbụla na-eme ihe Nna m bi nʼeluigwe chọrọ, bụ nwanne m nwoke, na nwanne m nwanyị, nakwa nne m.”
for whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in [the] heavens, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
