< Matiu 10 >
1 Jisọs kpọrọ ndị na-eso ụzọ ya iri na abụọ nye ha ikike ịchụpụ mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha, na ịgwọ nrịa nrịa na ọrịa niile dị iche iche.
And calling His twelve disciples to Him, Jesus gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and sickness.
2 Nke a bụ aha ndị ozi iri na abụọ ahụ: Saimọn (onye a na-akpọkwa Pita) na Andru nwanne Saimọn; Jemis nwa Zebedi, na Jọn nwanne ya.
These are the names of the twelve apostles: first Simon, called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
3 Filip na Batalomi; Tọmọs na Matiu onye ọna ụtụ; Jemis nwa Alfiọs, na Tadiọs.
Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
4 Saimọn onye a na-akpọ Zilọt na Judas Iskarịọt, onye raara ya nye nʼaka ndị gburu ya.
Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus.
5 Ndị ikom iri na abụọ ndị a ka Jisọs nyere ikike zipụ. Maara ha ọkwa sị ha: “Unu agala nʼebe ndị mba ọzọ, maọbụ nʼebe ndị Sameria nọ.
These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go onto the road of the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.
6 Kama jekwurunụ ụmụ Izrel, ndị bụ atụrụ furu efu.
Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.
7 Mgbe unu na-aga, na-ekwusaaranụ ha sị, ‘alaeze eluigwe a dịla nso.’
As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’
8 Gwọọnụ ndị ọrịa, kpọteenụ ndị nwụrụ anwụ, meenụ ka ahụ ndị ekpenta dị ọcha, chụpụkwanụ mmụọ ọjọọ. Nʼefu ka unu natara. Ya mere, nyenụ nʼefu.
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
9 “Mgbe unu na-aga, unu anatala ọlaọcha maọbụ ọlaedo, maọbụ ọla ọbụla tinye nʼime belịt unu.
Do not carry any gold or silver or copper in your belts.
10 Unu ejikwala akpa maka njem unu, maọbụ uwe abụọ, maọbụ akpụkpọụkwụ, maọbụ mkpanaka. Nʼihi na onye ọrụ kwesiri ihe e ji azụ ya.
Take no bag for the road, or second tunic, or sandals, or staff; for the worker is worthy of his provisions.
11 Ma obodo ọbụla maọbụ ogbe ọbụla unu bara nʼime ya, chọọnụ ụfọdụ ndị kwesiri nsọpụrụ bi nʼobodo ahụ. Nọgidekwanụ nʼụlọ ha ruo mgbe unu ga-ahapụ obodo ahụ.
Whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy there and stay at his house until you move on.
12 Mgbe unu na-abanye nʼụlọ ahụ, keleenụ ndị bi na ya sị, udo dịrị unu.
As you enter the home, greet its occupants.
If the home is worthy, let your peace rest on it; but if it is not, let your peace return to you.
14 Ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla anabataghị unu, maọbụ jụ ịnụrụ okwu unu, mgbe unu na-ahapụ ụlọ ahụ maọbụ obodo ahụ kụchapụnụ aja dị nʼụkwụ unu.
And if anyone will not welcome you or heed your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
15 Nʼeziokwu, ọ ga-adịrị obodo ahụ njọ nʼụbọchị ikpe karịa obodo Sọdọm na Gọmọra.
Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
16 “Ana m ezipu unu dị ka atụrụ nʼetiti agụ. Ya mere, nweenụ uche dịka agwọ. Burunu ndị a na-apụghị ịta ụta dịka nduru.
Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
17 Kpachapụnụ anya. Nʼihi na a ga-enyefe unu nʼaka nzukọ ndị ụlọ ikpe, pịaakwa unu ihe nʼụlọ ekpere ha.
But beware of men; for they will hand you over to their councils and flog you in their synagogues.
18 A ga-ekpe unu ikpe nʼihu ndị na-achị achị na nʼihu ndị eze nʼihi m. Ma nke a ga-enye unu ohere ịgwa ha ihe banyere m. E, nke a ga-enye unu ohere ịgba ama banyere m nye ndị mba ọzọ.
On My account, you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.
19 Mgbe ha jidere unu na-ekpe unu ikpe, unu echegbula onwe unu banyere ihe unu ga-ekwu, maọbụ otu unu ga-esi kwuo ya. Nʼihi na a ga-eme ka unu mata ihe unu ga-ekwu nʼoge ahụ.
But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say.
20 Nʼihi na ọ bụghị unu ga-ekwu nʼonwe unu. Kama Mmụọ nke Nna unu bi nʼeluigwe ga-esite nʼọnụ unu kwuo okwu.
For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
21 “Nwanne ga-arara nwanne ya nye ka e gbuo ya, nna ga-ararakwa nwa ya nye. Ụmụ ga-ebili megide ndị mụrụ ha mee ka e gbuo ha.
Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death.
22 Mmadụ niile ga-akpọ unu asị nʼihi m. Ma onye ga-eguzosi ike ruo ọgwụgwụ ka a ga-azọpụta.
You will be hated by everyone because of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
23 Mgbe ọbụla ndị mmadụ sogburu unu nʼotu obodo gbalaganụ nʼobodo ọzọ. Nʼezie, asị m unu, unu agaghị agazucha obodo niile nke Izrel tupu Nwa nke Mmadụ alọghachi.
When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
24 “Nwata akwụkwọ adịghị akarị onye nkuzi ya. Ohu adịghị akarịkwa nna ya ukwu.
A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.
25 O zuorela onye na-eso ụzọ onye nkuzi ka ọ dị ka onye nkuzi ya, na ohu ahụ ka ọ dị ka onyenwe ya. Ọ bụrụ na a kpọrọ nna nwe ụlọ Belzebub, a ga-esi aṅaa ghara ịkpọ ndị ezinaụlọ ya ihe karịrị nke a?
It is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!
26 “Ya mere unu atụla ha egwu. O nweghị ihe ọbụla e kpuchiri ekpuchi nke a na-agaghị ekpughe, maọbụ ihe e zoro ezo nke a na-agaghị eme ka ọ pụta ìhè.
So do not be afraid of them. For there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
27 Ihe m na-agwa unu ugbu a na nzuzo, kọsaanụ ya mgbe chi bọrọ. Ihe m ji nwayọọ mee ka ọ baa unu na ntị, nọdụnụ nʼelu ụlọ kwusaa ya.
What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops.
28 Unu atụla egwu ndị pụrụ igbu naanị anụ ahụ unu, ma ha enweghị ike ịmetụ mkpụrụobi unu aka. Kama onye unu ga-atụ egwu bụ Onye ahụ nwere ike imebi anụ ahụ unu na mkpụrụobi, tụbakwa ha nʼọkụ ala mmụọ. (Geenna )
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna )
29 Ọ bụghị otu kobo ka a na-ere ụmụ nza abụọ? Ma otu nʼime ha agaghị ada nʼala ma ọ bụrụ na Nna unu bi nʼeluigwe amaghị.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
30 Ọ bụladị agịrị isi dị nʼisi unu ka a maara ọnụọgụgụ ha.
And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Ya mere, unu atụla egwu. Unu dị oke ọnụ karịa ọtụtụ ụmụ nza.
So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
32 “Ya mere, onye ọbụla kwupụtara m nʼihu ụmụ mmadụ, ka mụ onwe m ga-ekwupụta nʼihu Nna m bi nʼeluigwe.
Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven.
33 Ma onye ọbụla na-agọnarị m nʼihu ndị mmadụ, mụ onwe m ga-agọnarịkwa ya nʼihu Nna m bi nʼeluigwe.
But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.
34 “Unu echekwala na m bịara iweta udo nʼụwa. Abịaghị m iweta udo, kama ọ bụ iwebata mma agha.
Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35 Abịara m ime, “‘Ka nwoke megide nna ya, ka nwa nwanyị megide nne ya, ka nwunye nwa megide nne di ya,
For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 ndị iro mmadụ ga-abụ ndị ezinaụlọ ya.’
A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
37 “Ọ bụrụ na ị hụrụ nne gị maọbụ nna gị nʼanya karịa m, i kwesighị ịbụ onye nke m. Ọ bụrụ na ị hụrụ nwa gị nwoke, maọbụ nwa gị nwanyị nʼanya karịa m, i kwesighị ịbụ onye nke m.
Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me;
38 Onye ọbụla na-eburughị obe ya soro m, ekwesighị ị bụ onye nke m.
and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.
39 Onye ọbụla chọtara ndụ ya ga-etufu ya, ma onye ọbụla tufuru ndụ ya maka m, ga-achọtakwa ya.
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
40 “Ndị niile nabatara unu na-anabata m. Mgbe ha nabatara m, ọ bụkwa Onye ahụ zitere m ka ha na-anabata.
He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me.
41 Ọ bụrụ na unu anabata onye amụma nʼihi na ọ bụ onye amụma, unu na onye amụma ahụ ga-enwekọ otu ụgwọ ọrụ. Ọ bụrụkwa na unu anabata onye ezi omume nʼihi ezi omume ya, unu ga-esorokwa ya nata ụgwọ ọrụ nke onye ezi omume.
Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.
42 Ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla ekunye otu nʼime ndị a na-eso ụzọ m mmiri oyi ka ọ ṅụọ, nʼihi na ọ bụ onye na-eso ụzọ m, nʼezie, asị m unu, ọ ghaghị ịnata ụgwọ ọrụ ya.”
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.”
