1 Ha gafere nʼofe ọzọ nke osimiri ahụ nʼakụkụ obodo Gerazin.
And they came beyond the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes,
2 Mgbe Jisọs sitere nʼụgbọ ahụ pụta, otu nwoke mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha si nʼebe a na-eli ozu bịa zute ya.
And a man from the tombs, with an unclean spirit met Him, having come out of the ship;
3 Nwoke a bi nʼetiti ili ndị ahụ. Ọ dịkwaghị onye ọbụla pụrụ ike ya agbụ, ọ bụladị iji eriri igwe kee ya.
who had his dwelling among the tombs: neither was any one able to bind him with chains;
4 Nʼihi na e keela ya agbụ ụkwụ nʼaka ọtụtụ oge ma ọ dọbisiri eriri igwe ndị ahụ, gbajisiekwa mkpọrọ igwe dị ya nʼụkwụ. Ọ dịkwaghị onye nwere ike ijideli ya.
because frequently he had been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains were slipped off by him, and the fetters torn to pieces.
5 Ọ na-agagharị nʼetiti ili ahụ ehihie na abalị na nʼugwu dị ya gburugburu, na-eti mkpu, na-eji nkume dị nkọ na-egbukasị onwe ya ahụ.
No one was able to tame him: and all the time, night and day, he was among the tombs in the mountains, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 Mgbe o sitere nʼebe dị anya hụ Jisọs, ọ gbaara ọsọ gaa gbuo ikpere nʼihu ya.
And seeing Jesus a great way off, he ran to Him, and worshiped Him;
7 O tiri mkpu nʼoke olu sị, “Gịnị ka mụ na gị nwekọrọ, Jisọs, Ọkpara Chineke Onye kachasị ihe niile elu? Eji m aha Chineke na-arịọ gị, biko, atala m ahụhụ.”
and crying with a loud voice, he says, What is there to me and to thee, O Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee in the name of God, that you may not torment me.
8 Nʼihi na o nyela ya iwu sị, “Si nʼime nwoke a pụta, gị mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha!”
For He said to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
9 Mgbe ahụ Jisọs jụrụ ya sị, “Gịnị bụ aha gị?” Mmụọ ọjọọ ahụ zaghachiri ya sị, “Aha m bụ Lijiọn, nʼihi na anyị dị ọtụtụ.”
And He asked him, What is thy name? And he says to Him, My name is Legion; because we are many.
10 Ma ọ rịọsiri ya arịrịọ ike ka ọ ghara ịchụpụ ha site nʼobodo ahụ.
And he continued to intreat Him much, that He would not send them out of the country.
11 Igwe ezi nọ nso nʼebe ahụ na-akpa nri, na ndịda ugwu dị nʼebe ahụ.
And there was a great herd of swine feeding in the mountain.
12 Mmụọ ọjọọ ndị a rịọrọ ya sị, “Biko ziga anyị nʼetiti igwe ezi ndị a, ma hapụ anyị ka anyị banye nʼime ha.”
And they intreated Him, saying, Send us into the swine, in order that we may go into them.
13 Ọ hapụrụ ha; mmụọ ndị ahụ na-adịghị ọcha pụtara baa nʼime igwe ezi ndị ahụ. Igwe ezi ahụ niile, ọnụọgụgụ ha ruru puku abụọ, gbaara ọsọ site na mkputamkpu ala ọnụ mmiri dakpuo nʼime osimiri ebe mmiri riri ha niile.
And Jesus immediately permitted them. And the unclean spirits having gone out, came into the swine: and the herd rushed down a precipice into the sea, and there were about two thousand: and they were strangled in the sea.
14 Ndị na-elekọta igwe ezi ahụ gbaara ọsọ laa, kọsaa ihe mere nʼime obodo nakwa nʼala ahụ niile. Nʼihi nke a, ọtụtụ mmadụ pụtara ilere ihe mere.
And those herding them fled, and reported in the city, and in the country. And they came out to see what it was that came to pass.
15 Ha bịakwutere Jisọs, hụ nwoke ahụ nke igwe mmụọ ọjọọ bibu nʼime ya. O yi uwe, nọdụ ala, bụrụkwa onye uche ya zuruoke; egwu jidere ha.
And they come to Jesus, and see the demonized man sitting down, both clothed and in his right mind, the one called Legion; and they were afraid.
16 Ndị hụrụ ihe mere kọọrọ ihe niile mere nwoke ahụ mmụọ ọjọọ bibu nʼime ya. Ha kọkwaara ihe mere igwe ezi ndị ahụ.
And those seeing, related to them how it happened to the demonized man and concerning the swine.
17 Mgbe ahụ, ha bidoro ịrịọ Jisọs ka ọ pụọra ha nʼakụkụ ala ha.
And they began to intreat Him to depart from their coasts.
18 Dị ka ọ na-achọ ịbanye nʼime ụgbọ, nwoke ahụ mmụọ ọjọọ ndị ahụ bibu nʼime ya rịọrọ ya ka o soro ha.
And He having come to the ship, the demonized man intreated Him that he should be with Him.
19 Ma Jisọs ekweghị, kama ọ sịrị ya, “Laa nʼụlọ, lakwuru ndị enyi gị, kọọrọ ha ihe ọma Onyenwe anyị meere gị, na otu o si meere gị ebere.”
And He did not permit him, but says to him, Go to thine own house to thy people, and proclaim to them how many things the Lord has done for thee, and had mercy on thee.
20 Ya mere, o si nʼebe ahụ pụọ, malitekwa ịkọsa nʼime mpaghara Dekapọlịs ihe ọma Jisọs meere ya. Ihe a juru mmadụ niile anya.
And he went away, and began to preach in Decapolis, how many things Jesus did to him. And all were astonished.
21 Mgbe Jisọs jiri ụgbọ mmiri gafee nʼakụkụ nke ọzọ, ọtụtụ igwe mmadụ zukọrọ gbaa ya gburugburu mgbe ọ nọ nʼakụkụ osimiri.
And Jesus crossing over in the ship again to the other side, a great multitude was gathered unto Him; and He was by the sea.
22 Ma otu nʼime ndịisi ụlọ ekpere nke aha ya bụ Jairọs bịara, mgbe ọ hụrụ ya, ọ dara nʼala nʼụkwụ ya,
And one of the chief rulers of the synagogue, by name jairus, comes; and seeing Him falls at His feet,
23 rịọsie ya arịrịọ ike sị, “Ada m nwanyị nke nta nọ nʼọnụ ọnwụ ugbu a. Biko, bịa ka ị bikwasị ya aka gị ka agwọ ya, ka ọ dịkwa ndụ.”
and intreats Him much saying, My little daughter is at the point of death: that coming He may lay hands on her, in order that she may be saved and live.
24 Ya mere, Jisọs soro ya gawa. Oke igwe mmadụ sokwa ya na-akpagbu ya.
And He departed with him; and a great multitude followed Him, even treading on Him.
25 Ma otu nwanyị nọkwa nʼebe ahụ, onye nọrịị na-arịa ọrịa oruru ọbara afọ iri na abụọ.
And a certain woman, being in an issue of blood twelve years,
26 Ọ taala ahụhụ dị ukwuu nʼaka ndị dibịa, mefukwaa ihe niile o nwere. Ma kama ọrịa ya ịdị mma, ọ na-aga nʼihu ịdị njọ.
and having suffered much from many physicians, and expended all things which were with her, and being profited as to nothing, but rather having come to the worse,
27 Ebe ọ nụrụla akụkọ banyere Jisọs, o sooro igwe mmadụ ndị ahụ, sitere nʼazụ metụ uwe ya aka.
hearing concerning Jesus, having come in the crowd behind, touched His garment.
28 Nʼihi na o kwuolarị nʼime obi ya sị, “Ọ bụrụ nnọọ na m enwe ike metụ naanị uwe ya aka, a ga-agwọkwa m.”
For she was saying, If I may touch His garment, I shall be saved.
29 Ngwangwa oruru ọbara ya kwụsịrị. Ọ matakwara nʼime onwe ya na ya enwerela onwe ya site nʼọrịa ya.
And immediately the issue of her blood was dried up: and she knew in her body that she is healed of her plague.
30 Nʼotu oge ahụ Jisọs matara na ike esitela ya nʼahụ pụọ. Ọ tụgharịrị gburugburu nʼetiti igwe mmadụ ahụ jụọ sị, “Onye metụrụ uwe m aka?”
And immediately Jesus, knowing in Himself that the powerhas gone out from Him, turning in the crowd, said, Who touched my garments?
31 Ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sịrị, “Lee ọtụtụ igwe mmadụ gbara gị gburugburu, i sikwa aṅaa na-ajụ, ‘Onye metụrụ uwe m aka?’”
And His disciples continued to say to Him, You see the crowd treading upon you, and you say, Who touched me?
32 Ma Jisọs gara nʼihu na-ele anya gburugburu ịhụ onye mere ya.
And He looked round to see her who did it.
33 Ma nwanyị ahụ, ebe ọ matara ihe mere nʼahụ ya, bịara nʼegwu nʼịma jijiji daa nʼụkwụ ya, gwa ya eziokwu niile.
And the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what has taken place unto herself, came and fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth.
34 Ọ sịrị ya, “Ada m nwanyị, okwukwe gị agwọọla gị. Laa nʼudo nwerekwa onwe gị site nʼọrịa gị.”
And He said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
35 Mgbe ọ ka nọ na-ekwu okwu, ụfọdụ ndị mmadụ sitere nʼụlọ onyeisi ụlọ ekpere bịara sị, “Ada gị nwanyị anwụọla, olee ihe mere i ji esogbu onye ozizi a ọzọ?”
And He still speaking, they come from the house of the chief ruler of the synagogue, saying, Thy daughter is dead: why do you still trouble the Teacher?
36 Ma ka ọ nụrụ ihe ha kwuru, Jisọs gwara onyeisi ụlọ ekpere ahụ sị ya, “Atụla egwu, naanị kwere.”
And Jesus, immediately hearing the word spoken, says to the chief ruler, Fear not, only believe.
37 O kweghị ka onye ọbụla ọzọ soro ya ma ọ bụghị Pita, na Jemis na Jọn nwanne Jemis.
and He did not permit any one to accompany Him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 Mgbe ha bịarutere nʼụlọ onyendu ụlọ ekpere ahụ, ọ nụrụ ụzụ hụkwa ọtụtụ mmadụ ka ha nọ na-akwa akwa na-etikwa mkpu akwa.
And He comes into the house of the chief ruler of the synagogue; And He sees a tumult, weeping and wailing much;
39 Mgbe ọ batara, ọ sịrị ha, “Gịnị mere unu ji na-akwa akwa na-etikwa mkpu akwa? Nwatakịrị a anwụghị anwụ, ọ na-arahụ ụra!”
and having come in, He says to them, Why are you excited and weeping? The child is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 Ma ha chịrị ya ọchị. Mgbe ọ chụpụsịrị ha niile nʼezi, ọ kpọọrọ nne na nna nwantakịrị ahụ, na ndị ya na ha so, banye nʼime ụlọ ebe nwantakịrị ahụ dina.
And they hooted at Him. And putting them all out, He takes the father and mother of the child and those with Him, and goes in where the child was.
41 O jidere ya nʼaka sị ya, “Talita koum!” (nke pụtara, “Nwa agbọghọ nta, asị m gị bilie!”).
And taking the child by the hand, says to her, Talitha cumi; which is interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, Arise.
42 Otu mgbe ahụ nwaagbọghọ nta ahụ biliri ọtọ bido ijegharị (ọ gbara afọ iri na abụọ). Nke a jụrụ ha niile anya nke ukwuu.
And immediately the damsel stood up, and walked about; for she was twelve years old. And they were immediately delighted with great delight.
43 Ma ọ dọsiri ha aka na ntị ike, ka ha ghara ịgwa onye ọbụla ihe mere. Ọ sịrị ha, “Nyenụ ya nri ka o rie.”
And He charged them much that no one should know it; and He said that something should be given to her to eat.
