< Mak 4 >
1 Nʼoge ọzọ, ọ malitere izi ihe nʼakụkụ osimiri. Igwe mmadụ dị ukwuu gbara ya gburugburu, nke mere na ọ banyere nʼime ụgbọ nọdụ ala nʼime ya nʼelu mmiri ahụ, ma igwe mmadụ ahụ nọkwa nʼakụkụ osimiri ahụ.
And again He began to teach by the sea: and a great multitude is gathered unto Him, so that He having gone into a ship, sat on the sea; and the whole multitude was at the sea on the land.
2 O bidoro i kuziri ha ọtụtụ ihe nʼilu, ma nʼozizi ya, ọ sịrị ha,
And He was teaching them many things in parables, and in His teaching He said to them,
3 “Geenụ ntị! Otu onye ọrụ ubi pụrụ gaa ịkụ mkpụrụ ya.
Hear: Behold, a sower went out to sow:
4 Mgbe ọ na-agha mkpụrụ, ụfọdụ mkpụrụ dara nʼakụkụ ụzọ, ụmụ nnụnụ bịara tụtụrịa ha.
and it came to pass while he was sowing, some fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured it.
5 Ụfọdụ mkpụrụ dara nʼala nkume, ebe aja ntakịrị dị. Ha puputara ngwangwa nʼihi na ala dị nʼebe ahụ emighị emi.
And other fell upon stones, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
6 Ma mgbe anwụ wara, ọ chagburu ha, ha kpọnwụọ nʼihi na ha enweghị mgbọrọgwụ.
and when the sun arose, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
7 Mkpụrụ ndị ọzọ dara nʼetiti ogwu; ogwu ahụ tolitere kpagbuo ha. Ha amịkwaghị mkpụrụ.
And other fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up, and choked it, and it gave no fruit.
8 Mkpụrụ ndị ọzọ nke dara nʼezi ala, puru, tolite, ma mịa mkpụrụ na mmụba iri atọ, iri isii, ọ bụladị otu narị.”
And other fell in good ground, and springing up and growing, gave fruit, and produced, one thirty, and one sixty, and one a hundred.
And He said, Let the one having ears to hear, hear.
And when they were alone, and those around Him along with the twelve asked Him the parable.
11 Ọ gwara ha sị, “Enyela unu ihe omimi nke alaeze Chineke. Ma ndị nọ nʼezi, a na-agwa ha ihe niile nʼilu,
And He said to them, To you it has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God: but to them who are without, all things are in parables:
12 nke mere na, “‘Ha ga na-ele anya, hụkwa, ma ha agaghị ahụ ihe ọbụla, ha ga na-anụ, nụkwa, ma ha agaghị aghọta ihe ọbụla, ma ọ bụghị ya, ha nwere ike chigharịa bụrụ ndị a gbaghaara.’”
in order that seeing they may see, and not know; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest they may turn, and their sins may he forgiven unto them.
13 Mgbe ahụ, ọ jụrụ ha sị, “Ọ bụ na unu aghọtaghị ilu a? Unu ga-esikwa aṅaa ghọta ilu ndị ọzọ?
And He says to them, Do you not understand this parable? and how will you know all parables?
14 Ọgha mkpụrụ ahụ na-agha okwu Chineke.
The sower sows the word.
15 Mmadụ ụfọdụ dị ka mkpụrụ ndị ahụ dara nʼakụkụ ụzọ, ebe a kụrụ okwu ahụ.
And those who are by the way-side, where the word is sown; and when they hear it, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which was sown in their hearts.
16 Ndị ọzọ dị ka mkpụrụ a kụrụ nʼala nkume. Ha nụrụ okwu ahụ, were ọṅụ nabata ya nʼotu mgbe ahụ.
And those who are sowed upon the rocks are likewise, those who, when they may hear the word, immediately with joy receive it.
And they have no root in themselves, but are temporary; then tribulation or persecution arising on account of the word, they are immediately offended:
18 Ndị nke ọzọkwa, dị ka mkpụrụ dara nʼetiti ogwu, nụrụ okwu ahụ;
and others are those who are sown among the thorns; they are those hearing the word,
19 ma nchekasị nke ndụ a, na nghọgbu nke akụnụba, na oke ọchịchọ, nakwa ihe ndị ọzọ na-abata, kpagbuo okwu ahụ, mee ka ọ ghara ịmị mkpụrụ. (aiōn )
and the cares of the age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and desires concerning other things coming into them, choke out the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn )
20 Ndị ọzọ, dị ka mkpụrụ a kụrụ nʼezi ala, nụrụ okwu ahụ, nabata ya ma mịa mkpụrụ dị iri atọ, iri isii, maọbụ otu narị.”
And these are they who are sown on good ground; whosoever hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirty, some sixty, and some a hundred.
And He said to them; Whether does the light come, that it may be placed under a bushel, or under a bed? is it not that it may be placed on a candlestick?
22 Nʼihi na ihe niile e zoro ezo ga-apụta ihe ma ihe niile e kpuchiri ekpuchi ka a ga-emesịa kpughee.
For there is nothing hidden which may not be made manifest; neither is there any thing concealed, but that it may come into the light.
23 Onye ọbụla nwere ntị ịnụ ihe, ya nụrụ.”
If any one has ears to hear, let him hear.
24 Ọ sịrị ha, “Kpacharanụ anya ihe unu na-anụ. Ọ bụkwa ihe unu ji tụọrọ ndị ọzọ ka a ga-eji tụọrọ unu, maọbụ karịa.
And He said to them. See what you hear: with what measure you measure it shall be measured unto you: and it shall be added unto you who hear.
25 Onye nwere ihe ka a ga-enye karịa; onye na-enweghị, ọ bụladị nke o nwere ka a ga-anapụ ya.”
For whosoever has, it shall be given unto him: and he who has not, it shall be taken from him even that which he has.
26 Ọ sịkwara, “Alaeze Chineke yiri ihe dị otu a. Ọ dịka mgbe otu onye ghara mkpụrụ nʼala ubi.
And He said, Thus is the kingdom of God, as a man may cast seed on the ground;
and he may sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed germinates and grows, as he does not know.
28 Ala ahụ nʼonwe ya na-eme ka mkpụrụ ahụ puo. Ọ na-epupụte na mbụ, too oko, emesịa isi ọka, nʼikpeazụ ọ mịkwara mkpụrụ kara aka nʼoko ya.
The earth spontaneously brings forth fruit; first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear.
29 Mgbe ọka ahụ chara ịghọ ya, o na-eji mma iwe ihe ubi ya bịa gbutuo ọka ahụ, ghọrọkwa ogbe ọka laa, nʼihi na oge iwe ihe nʼubi eruola.”
And when the fruit may develop, immediately he thrusts in the sickle, because the harvest is at hand.
And He said, To what may we liken the kingdom of God? or in what parable may we present it?
31 Ọ dị ka mkpụrụ mọstaadị, nke bụ mkpụrụ dịkarịsịrị nta nke a na-akụ nʼala.
Tis like a grain of mustard seed, which when it may be sown upon the earth, is the smallest of all seeds which are upon the earth,
32 Ma mgbe a kụrụ ya, ọ na-eto bukarịa ihe niile a kụrụ nʼubi, ọ na-enwe alaka dị ukwuu nke bụ na ụmụ anụ ufe nke eluigwe na-ezukwa ike nʼokpuru ya.”
and when it may be sowed, it springs up, and becomes the greatest of herbs, and produces great branches; so that the birds of the heavens are able to lodge under its shadow.
33 O jiri ọtụtụ ilu yiri ndị a gwa ha okwu dị ka ha pụrụ ịghọta.
And in many such parables He continued to speak the word to them, as they were able to hear.
And without a parable He did not speak to them: and He privately expounded all things to His disciples.
35 Nʼụbọchị ahụ nʼoge uhuruchi, ọ gwara ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sị, “Ka anyị gafee nʼofe nke ọzọ.”
And He says to them, on that day, it being evening, Let us go away to the other side.
And leaving the multitude, they receive Him, as He was in the ship; and other ships were also with Him.
37 Oke ifufe dị ike bidoro ife, ebili mmiri na-awụbakwa nʼụgbọ ahụ ruo na ụgbọ ha fọdụrụ ntakịrị ka mmiri mie ya.
And there was a great storm of wind: and the waves were dashing into the ship, so that it was already filled.
38 Ma Jisọs nọ nʼazụ azụ ụgbọ ahụ na-arahụ ụra nʼelu ohiri isi. Ndị na-eso ụzọ ya kpọtere ya sị ya, “Onye ozizi, o metụghị gị nʼobi na anyị nʼala nʼiyi?”
And He was in the stern, sleeping on a pillow: and they awaken Him, and say to Him; Teacher, is there no care to thee that we perish?
39 Ọ biliri ọtọ, baara ifufe ahụ mba sịkwa osimiri ahụ, “Kwụsị! Dere jii!” Ifufe ahụ kwụsịrị, ebe niile dajụrụ deere jii.
And being awakened, He said to the sea, Be calm, be quiet. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And He said to them, Why are you so cowardly? how have you not faith?
41 Ha niile tụrụ egwu, jụrịta onwe ha sị, “Onye bụ onye a? Ọ bụladị ifufe na ebili mmiri na-erubere ya isi!”
And they feared with a great fear, and continued to say to one another, Who then is this, because the wind and the sea obey Him?
