At another time he entered the synagogue, when a man was there who had a withered hand.

And they, with a design to accuse Jesus, watched him, to see whether he would heal the man on the Sabbath.
3 Ma ọ gwara nwoke ahụ aka ya kpọnwụrụ akpọnwụ sị, “Bilie guzoro nʼetiti ebe a.”
Jesus said to the man, who had the withered hand, Stand up in the midst.
4 Mgbe ahụ ọ jụrụ ha sị, “Olee nke ziri ezi nʼiwu ime nʼụbọchị izuike: ọ bụ ime ezi ihe ka ọ bụ ime ihe ọjọọ, ịzọpụta ndụ ka ọ bụ ịla ndụ nʼiyi?” Ma ha gbachiri nkịtị.
Then he said to them, Whether it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or to do evil--to save, or to kill? But they were silent.
5 O lere ha anya nʼiwe, o wutere ya nʼihi na obi ha kpọrọ nkụ. Ọ sịrị nwoke ahụ, “Setịpụ aka gị.” O setịpụrụ aka ya, aka ya dizikwara nke ọma.
And looking around on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their minds, he said to the man, Stretch out your hand: and as he stretched out his hand, it was restored.
6 Ngwangwa, ndị Farisii sitere nʼebe ahụ pụọ nʼiwe. Gaa soro ndị otu Herọd gbaa izu otu ha ga-esi laa ya nʼiyi.
And the Pharisees went out immediately, and conspired with the Herodians against him to destroy him.
But Jesus withdrew with his disciples toward the sea, whither a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,
from Jerusalem, from Idumea, and from the banks of the Jordan. They also of the territories of Tyre and Sidon, having heard what wonders he had performed, flocked to him in crowds.
Then he ordered his disciples to get a boat to attend him, because of the multitude, lest they should throng him:
10 Nʼihi na ọ gwọọla ọtụtụ ndị ọrịa, nke mere na ndị bu ọrịa dị iche iche na-agbalịsị ike ịmetụ ya aka.
for he had healed many, which made all, who had maladies, press upon him to touch him.
11 Mgbe ọbụla kwa ndị mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha bi nʼime ha hụrụ ya, ha na-ada nʼala nʼihu ya na-eti mkpu na-asị, “Ị bụ Ọkpara Chineke!”
And the unclean spirits, when they beheld him, prostrated themselves before him, crying, Thou art the Son of God.
12 Ma ọ na-enyesi ha iwu ike ka ha hapụ ịkọwa onye ọ bụ.
But he strictly charged them not to make him known.
13 Ọ rigooro nʼelu ugwu ma kpọrọ ndị ọ chọrọ nye onwe ya. Ha bịakwutekwara ya.
Afterward Jesus went up a mountain, and called to him whom he would, and they went to him.

And he selected twelve, that they might attend him, and that he might commission them to make proclamation;

empowering them to cure disease; and to expel demons.
16 Ndị a bụ mmadụ iri na abụọ ndị ọ họpụtara. Saimọn (onye ọ kpọrọ Pita).
These were Simon, whom he surnamed Peter,

and James, son of Zebedee, and John, the brother of James. These he surnamed Boanerges, that is, sons of thunder;
18 Andru, Filip, Batalomi, Matiu, Tọmọs, Jemis nwa Alfiọs, Tadiọs, Saimọn onye a na-akpọ Zilọt,
and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James son of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Canaanite

20 Emesịa, ọ lọtara nʼụlọ, ma igwe mmadụ gbakọtakwara ọzọ nke mere na ha enweghị ohere iri nri.
Then they went into a house, whither a crowd again assembled, so that Jesus and his disciples could not so such as eat.
His kinsmen hearing this, went out to restrain it, (for they said, He is beside himself.
22 Ma ndị ozizi iwu si Jerusalem bịa sịrị, “Mmụọ Belzebub bi nʼime ya! Ọ bụkwa nʼike onyeisi ndị mmụọ ọjọọ ka o ji achụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ.”
And the scribes who came from Jerusalem, said, He is confederate with Beelzebub, and expels demons by the prince of demons.)
Jesus having called them, said to them by similitudes, How can Satan expel Satan?
If a kingdom be torn by factions, that kingdom can not subsist.
And if a family be torn by factions, that family can not subsist.
Thus, if Satan fight against himself, and be divided, he can not subsist, but is near his end.

whosoever shall speak slanderously against the Holy Spirit, shall never be pardoned, but be liable to eternal punishment. (aiōn , aiōnios )
30 O kwuru nke a nʼihi na ha na-asị, “Mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha bi nʼime ya.”
He said this because they affirmed he was leagued with an unclean spirit.
Meanwhile came his mother and brothers, who standing without, sent for him.

And the crowd who sat round him, said to him, Lo, your mother and brothers are without, and seek you.
33 Ọ zara sị, “Onye bụ nne m, ndị ole bụkwa ụmụnne m ndị nwoke?”
He answered them, saying, Who is my mother or my brothers?
34 Mgbe ahụ, o lere ndị nọ ya gburugburu anya ma sị, “Ndị a bụ nne m, na ụmụnne m ndị nwoke!
And looking about on those who sat around him, he said, Behold my mother and my brothers;
35 Onye ọbụla na-eme uche Chineke bụ nwanne m nwoke, na nwanne m nwanyị, na nne m.”
for whosoever does the will of God, is my brother, my sister, and mother.
