And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, to Bethphage, and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
2 Ọ gwara ha sị, “Gaanụ nʼime obodo nta dị nʼihu unu. Mgbe unu na-abanye nʼime ya, unu ga-ahụ nwa ịnyịnya e kedoro nʼebe ahụ nke onye ọbụla na-arịkwasịbeghị nʼelu ya. Tọpụnụ ya nʼagbụ, kpụtaranụ m ya.
And saith to them, Go into the village over against you: and as soon as ye have entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, on which never man sat; loose him, and bring [him].
3 Ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla asị unu, ‘Gịnị mere unu ji na-atọpụ ya nʼagbụ?’ sịnụ onye ahụ, ‘Ọ dị Onyenwe anyị mkpa, ọ ga-akpụghachitekwa ya ngwangwa.’”
And if any man shall say to you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and immediately he will send him hither.
4 Ha ruru ma hụ otu nwa ịnyịnya e kedoro nʼakụkụ ụzọ, nʼihu otu ụlọ nke dị nʼama. Dị ka ha na-atọpụ ya,
And they went, and found the colt tied by the door without, in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
5 ụfọdụ mmadụ guzo nʼebe ahụ sịrị ha, “Gịnị ka unu na-eme, unu na-atọpụ nwa ịnyịnya a?”
And certain of them that stood there, said to them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
6 Ha gwara ha ihe Jisọs kwuru, ha hapụkwara ha ka ha tọrọ ịnyịnya ibu ahụ.
And they said to them even as Jesus had commanded; and they let them go.
And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off trees, and strewed [them] in the way.
9 Ndị na-aga nʼihu na ndị na-esokwa nʼazụ, tiri mkpu na-asị, “Hozanna!” “Onye a gọziri agọzi ka onye ahụ bụ nke na-abịa nʼaha Onyenwe anyị!”
And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna: Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
10 “Ngọzị dịrị alaeze ahụ na-abịa nke nna anyị Devid!” “Hozanna nʼebe kachasị ihe niile elu!”
Blessed [be] the kingdom of our Father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11 Mgbe ọ batara na Jerusalem, ọ gara nʼime nʼụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ. Mgbe o legharịchara anya nʼihe niile dị nʼebe ahụ, ma ebe ọ bụ na chi ejiela, ya na ndị na-eso ụzọ ya pụrụ gaa Betani.
And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round upon all things, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany, with the twelve.
And on the morrow, when they had come from Bethany, he was hungry,
13 Site nʼebe dị anya, ọ hụrụ otu osisi fiig nke nwere akwụkwọ ndụ. Mgbe ọ bịaruru osisi ahụ nso, ọ gagharịrị nʼukwu ya niile ma ọ ga-achọta mkpụrụ nʼelu ya, ma ọ hụghị mkpụrụ ọbụla, naanị akwụkwọ ndụ, nʼihi na oge a abụghị oge osisi a ji amị mkpụrụ.
And seeing a fig-tree afar off, having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing on it: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves: for the time of figs had not yet come.
And Jesus answered and said to it, Let no man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard [it]. (aiōn g165)
15 Mgbe ha ruru Jerusalem, ọ banyere nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu, bido ịchụpụ ndị na-azụ ahịa na ndị na-ere ahịa nʼebe ahụ. O kpugharịrị tebul ndị na-agbanwe ego, kwatuokwa oche niile nʼọdụ ahịa ndị na-ere nduru.
And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16 O gbochikwara onye ọbụla iwebata ngwongwo ahịa orire nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ.
And would not suffer that any man should carry [any] vessel through the temple.
17 Ma dị ka ọ na-ezi ha ihe, ọ sịrị, “Ọ bụ na-edeghị ya sị, Ụlọ m ka a ga-akpọ ụlọ ekpere nye mba niile? Ma unu emeela ya ọgba ndị na-apụnara mmadụ ihe nʼike.”
And he taught, saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called by all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
And the scribes and chief priests heard [it], and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people were astonished at his doctrine.
19 Mgbe uhuruchi bịara, Jisọs na ndị na-eso ụzọ ya siri nʼobodo ahụ pụọ.
And when evening had come, he went out of the city.
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig-tree dried up from the roots.
21 Pita chetara ihe merenụ ma sị ya, “Onye ozizi, lee! Osisi fiig ahụ ị bụrụ ọnụ akpọnwụọla!”
And Peter calling to remembrance, saith to him, Master, behold, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is withered.
22 Jisọs zara ha sị, “Nweenụ okwukwe nʼime Chineke.
And Jesus answering, saith to them, Have faith in God.
23 Nʼezie agwa m unu, ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla asị ugwu a, ‘Si nʼebe a wezuga onwe gị, gaa dabanye nʼoke osimiri,’ nke na-enweghị obi abụọ nʼime ya, kama o kweere na ihe o kwuru ga-emezu, ihe ahụ ọ kwuru ga-emezukwa.
For verily I say to you, that whoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that the things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he saith.
24 Ya mere, ka m gwa unu, ihe ọbụla unu rịọrọ nʼekpere, kwerenụ na unu anatala ya, ọ ga-abụkwa nke unu.
Therefore I say to you, Whatever things ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].
25 Ma mgbe ọbụla unu guzoro na-ekpe ekpere, gbagharanụ, ma ọ bụrụ na unu nwere ihe ọbụla megide onye ọbụla, ka Nna unu nke bi nʼeluigwe gbagharakwa unu mmehie unu.
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 Ma ọ bụrụ na unu agbagharaghị, Nna unu nke bi nʼeluigwe agaghị agbagharakwa unu mmehie unu.”
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
27 Mgbe ha rutere Jerusalem ọzọ, ọ nọ na-ejegharị nʼime ogige ụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ, ndịisi nchụaja, na ndị ozizi iwu na ndị okenye ndị Juu bịakwutere ya.
And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28 Ha sịrị ya, “Olee ikike i ji eme ihe ndị a ị na-eme? Onye nyere gị ikike ime ha?”
And say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
29 Jisọs sịrị ha, “Aga m ajụ unu otu ajụjụ, unu zaa m ya, aga m agwakwa unu onye nyere m ikike m ji eme ihe ndị a.
And Jesus answered and said to them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 Baptizim nke Jọn, o sitere nʼeluigwe ka ọ bụ nʼaka mmadụ? Gwanụ m.”
The baptism of John, was [it] from heaven, or from men? answer me.
31 Ha kparịtara ụka nʼetiti onwe ha ma sị, “Ọ bụrụ na anyị asị, ‘O sitere nʼeluigwe,’ ọ ga-asị anyị, ‘Gịnị mere unu na-ejighị kwenye na ya?’
And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32 Ma ọ bụrụ na anyị asị, ‘O sitere nʼaka mmadụ.’” (Ha na-atụ egwu ndị mmadụ, nʼihi na ha niile kwenyere na Jọn bụ onye amụma nʼezie.)
But if we shall say, from men; they feared the people: for all [men] counted John that he was a prophet indeed.
And they answered and said to Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
