< Luk 15 >

1 Ugbu a, ndị ọna ụtụ na ndị mmehie na-abịa ya nso ịnụta ihe ọ na-ekwu.
And publicans and sinners came to him, to hear him.
2 Ndị Farisii na ndị ozizi iwu tamuru ntamu na-asị, “Nwoke a na-anabata ndị mmehie sorokwa ha na-eri nri.”
And the Scribes and Pharisees murmured, and said: This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 Ya mere, ọ tụrụ ha ilu a sị,
And Jesus spoke to them this similitude:
4 “Ọ bụrụ na otu onye nʼime unu enwee narị atụrụ ma otu nʼime ha akpafuo. Ọ bụ na ọ gaghị ahapụ iri atụrụ itoolu na itoolu ahụ fọdụrụ nʼọzara, pụọ ịchọgharị otu ahụ kpafuru ruo mgbe ọ chọtara ya?
What man among you, that hath a hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the desert, and go and seek for that which is lost, until he find it?
5 Mgbe ọ chọtara ya, ọ ga-eji ọṅụ tụkwasị ya nʼubu ya.
And when he findeth it, he rejoiceth, and taketh it upon his shoulders;
and he cometh home, and he calleth together his friends and neighbors, and saith to them: Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep that was lost.
7 Asị m unu, nʼụzọ dị otu a, ọṅụ dị ukwu ga-adị nʼeluigwe nʼihi otu onye mmehie nke chegharịrị, karịa iri itoolu na itoolu ndị ezi omume bụ ndị nchegharị na-adịghị mkpa.
I say to you, that there will thus be joy in heaven, over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just ones, to whom repentance was not necessary.
8 “Maọbụ olee nwanyị nke nwere mkpụrụ ọlaọcha iri, ọ bụrụ nʼotu nʼime ha adafuo. Ọ gaghị amụnye oriọna, zaa ime ụlọ ya ịchọ otu mkpụrụ ego ahụ tutu ọ chọta ya?
Or what woman is there, who, if she have ten drachmas, and lose one of them, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and search for it carefully, until she find it?
9 Mgbe ọ chọtara otu mkpụrụ ego ahụ, ọ ga-akpọ ndị enyi ya na ndị agbataobi ya sị ha, ‘Soronụ m ṅụrịa ọṅụ nʼihi na achọtala m ego m furu efu.’
And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbors, and saith to them: Rejoice with me, for I have found my drachma that was lost.
10 Nʼụzọ dị otu a, asị m unu, ọṅụ ga-adị nʼihu ndị mmụọ ozi Chineke nʼihi otu onye mmehie nke chegharịrị.”
I say to you, That there will thus be joy, before the angels of God, over one sinner that repenteth.
11 O kwukwaara sị, “Otu nwoke mụtara ụmụ nwoke abụọ.
And Jesus said to them again: A certain man had two sons.
12 Nwa ya nke nta sịrị nna ya, ‘Nna, kenye m oke ruuru m nʼihe niile i nwere.’ Ya mere, o kenyere ya oke nke ya site nʼihe o nwere.
And his younger son said to him: My father, give me the portion that falleth to me from thy house. And he divided to them his property.
13 “Mgbe ụbọchị ole na ole gasịrị, nwokorobịa ahụ kwakọtara ihe niile o nwere gaa biri nʼotu obodo dị anya. Nʼebe ahụ, o mefuchara ihe niile o nwere nʼibi ndụ ọjọọ.
And after a few days, the younger son collected together all that fell to him, and went to a distant place and there squandered his property, by living in dissipation.
14 Mgbe o mefuchara ihe niile o nwere, oke ụnwụ dara nʼala ahụ. Ọ malitere ịnọ nʼụkọ.
And when he had consumed all that he had, there occurred a great famine in that place; and he began to be in want.
15 Nʼihi nke a, ọ gara binyere otu onye obodo ahụ nyere ya ọrụ ilekọta ezi ya na inye ha nri.
And he went and connected himself with one of the citizens of that place: and he sent him into the field to tend swine.
16 Ma ọ na-agụ ya ka o site na nri ọ na-enye ezi rijuo afọ, ma ọ dịghị onye nyere ya ụdị nri ahụ.
And he longed to fill his belly with those pods which the swine ate: and no one gave to him.
17 “Mgbe ọ ghọtara onwe ya, ọ sịrị, ‘Mmadụ ole bụ ndị ọrụ e goro ego nna m nwere, ndị nri na-ezuru ma mapụtakwa, ma agụụ na-egbu m nʼebe a.
And when he came to himself, he said: How many hired servants are now at my father's house, who have bread enough, and I am here perishing with hunger.
18 Aga m ebili lakwuru nna m, sị ya, Nna, emehiela m megide eluigwe na gị onwe gị.
I will arise and go to my father, and say to him: My father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee;
19 Ekwesikwaghị m ka a kpọọ m nwa gị ọzọ, were m dị ka otu nʼime ndị i goro ọrụ.’
and am no longer worthy to be called thy son. Make me like one of thy hired servants.
20 Ya mere, o biliri laghachikwuru nna ya. “Ma mgbe ọ nọrịị nʼebe dị anya, nna ya hụrụ ya, nwee ọmịiko nʼahụ ya, gbaara ọsọ ga makụọ ya, sutukwa ya ọnụ.
And he arose and went towards his father. And he was yet at a distance, when his father saw him; and he pitied him, and ran, and fell upon his neck and kissed him.
21 “Nwa ya nwoke ahụ sịrị ya, ‘Nna, emehiela m megide eluigwe na gị onwe gị. Ekwesighị m ka a kpọọ m nwa gị ọzọ.’
And his son said to him: My father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, and am not worthy to be called thy son.
22 “Ma nna ya gwara ndị ohu ya sị, ‘Meenụ ngwangwa weta uwe kachasị mma yikwasị ya. Gbanye ya ọlaaka nʼaka, yinyekwanụ ya akpụkpọụkwụ nʼụkwụ.
But his father said to his servants: Bring forth the best robe, and clothe him, and put a ring on his hand, and supply him with shoes.
23 Gaanụ kpụpụta nwa ehi gbara abụba, gbuo ya, ka anyị rie ma ṅụrịakwa.
And bring forth and slay the fatted bullock; and let us eat, and be merry.
24 Nʼihi na nwa m a, nwụrụ anwụ ma ọ dịla ndụ ọzọ. O fukwara efu ma a chọtala ya.’ Ha bidoro na-eri, na-aṅụ na-aṅụrịkwa ọṅụ.
For, this my son was dead, and is alive; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.
25 “Ọ dịghị anya, nwa ya nke okenye, onye jere ịrụ ọrụ nʼubi, mgbe ọ na-abịaru ụlọ nso, ọ nụrụ ụda egwu na ịgba egwu.
But his elder son was in the field; and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard the sound of the singing of many.
26 Ọ kpọrọ otu nʼime ndị ohu jụọ ya ihe na-eme.
And he called to one of the boys, and asked him what it meant.
27 Ọ sịrị ya, ‘Nwanne gị nwoke alọtala. Nna gị egbuola nwa ehi gbara abụba nʼihi na ọ lọtara nʼudo na ahụ ike.’
And he said to him: Thy brother hath come; and thy father hath killed the fatted bullock, because he hath received him in health.
28 “Iwe were ya, ọ jụrụ ịbata nʼime ụlọ. Nna ya pụtara nʼezi rịọ ya arịrịọ.
And he was angry, and would not go in: and his father went out and entreated him.
29 Ma ọ zara nna ya sị, ‘Lee ọtụtụ afọ niile ndị a ka m nọọ na-ejere gị ozi, enupukwaghị m isi nʼiwu gị nʼụzọ ọbụla. Ma o nweghị oge i nyere m ọ bụladị nwa ewu sị mụ na ndị enyi m jiri ya mee oriri.
And he said to his father: Lo, these many years have I labored in thy service, and never transgressed thy command; and thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends.
30 Ma ugbu a, nwa gị a, onye ya na ndị akwụna mefuru akụ gị alọtala, ya ka i gburu nwa ehi gbara abụba.’
But for this thy son, when he had dissipated thy property with harlots, and came home, thou hast slain the fatted bullock for him.
31 “Ma ọ sịrị ya, ‘Nwa m, mụ na gị nọ mgbe niile, ihe niile m nwere bụkwa nke gị.
His father said to him: My son, thou hast been ever with me, and all that I have, is thine.
32 Ma anyị kwesiri ịṅụrị ọṅụ, kpọọkwa oriri, nʼihi na nwanne gị nwoke a nwụrụ anwụ ma ọ dịla ndụ ọzọ. O fukwara efu ma a chọtala ya.’”
But it was proper for us to be merry, and to rejoice; because this thy brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.
