< Luk 13 >
1 Mgbe ahụ, ụfọdụ ndị nọ nʼebe ahụ gwara ya banyere ndị Galili ahụ Pailet jiri ọbara ha gwakọta nʼaja ha chụrụ.
Now there were some present at that very season which told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Ọ zara sị ha, “Unu chere na ndị Galili a tara ụdị ahụhụ a bụ ndị mmehie karịa ndị Galili niile?
And he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things?
3 Mba! Asị m unu, ọ bụrụ na unu echegharịghị, unu niile ga-esi otu ahụ laa nʼiyi.
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish.
4 Ka unu chere na mmadụ iri na asatọ ahụ, ndị mgbidi aja ụlọ elu Sailọm dagburu bụ ndị ikpe mmehie mara karịa ndị niile bi na Jerusalem?
Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?
5 Mba! Asị m unu, ọ bụrụ na unu echegharịghị, unu niile ga-ala nʼiyi dị ka ha.”
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 Ya mere, ọ tụụrụ ha ilu a sị, “Otu nwoke kụrụ osisi fiig nʼubi vaịnị ya, ma mgbe ọ bịara chọọ nʼelu ya, ma ọ hụghị mkpụrụ ọbụla.
And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Ya mere, ọ gwara onye ọrụ ubi ya sị, ‘Nʼime afọ atọ ndị a ka m bịara ka m ghọrọ mkpụrụ site nʼosisi fiig a, ma ahụghị m mkpụrụ ọbụla. Gbutuo ya! Gịnị mere ọ ga-eji na-erikọ nri dị nʼala ubi a?’
And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?
8 “Ọ zara sị ya, ‘Nna m ukwu, hapụkwa ya nʼafọ a, ka m gwuo ala gburugburu, hinye ya aja nri ala nʼukwu.
And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 Ọ bụrụ na ọ mịa mkpụrụ nʼafọ ọzọ, ọ dị mma, ọ bụrụkwa na ọ mịghị, i nwere ike gbutuo ya.’”
and if it bear fruit thenceforth, [well]; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.
10 Nʼụbọchị izuike ndị Juu, ọ banyere nʼime otu ụlọ ekpere na-ezi ihe.
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath day.
11 Otu nwanyị nọkwa nʼebe ahụ, onye mmụọ nrịa nrịa mere ka ahụ ghara ị dị ya ike afọ iri na asatọ. Ọ na-ehu ehu, o nwekwaghị ike iguzo ọtọ kwem.
And behold, a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed together, and could in no wise lift herself up.
12 Mgbe Jisọs hụrụ ya, ọ kpọrọ ya sị ya, “Nwanyị emeela ka i nwere onwe gị site nʼọrịa gị.”
And when Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 Mgbe o bikwasịrị ya aka, ngwangwa, o guzooro kwem malite na-eto Chineke.
And he laid his hands upon her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 Ma onyendu ụlọ ekpere ahụ were iwe nke ukwuu nʼihi na Jisọs gwọrọ ọrịa nʼụbọchị izuike. Ọ gwara igwe mmadụ ahụ okwu sị, “E nwere ụbọchị isii nʼime izu ụka mgbe mmadụ kwesiri ịrụ ọrụ. Ya mere, bịanụ ka a gwọọ unu nʼụbọchị ndị a, ọ bụghị nʼụbọchị izuike.”
And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.
15 Ma Onyenwe anyị zara ya sị, “Unu ndị ihu abụọ! Ọ dị onye nʼime unu na-adịghị atọpụ oke ehi ya maọbụ ịnyịnya ibu ya, site nʼụlọ anụmanụ, kpụpụ ya ebe ọ ga-aṅụ mmiri nʼụbọchị izuike?
But the Lord answered him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 O kwesighị ka a tọpụ nwanyị a bụ ada Ebraham nʼagbụ ekwensu kere ya ogologo afọ iri na asatọ, nʼụbọchị izuike, mee ka o nwere onwe ya?”
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, [these] eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?
17 Mgbe o kwuru nke a, ihere mere ndị iro ya niile, ma ndị mmadụ nọ nʼebe ahụ ṅụrịrị ọṅụ nʼihi ọrụ ebube niile ọ na-arụ.
And as he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame: and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
18 Ya mere, ọ na-ekwu sị, “Gịnị ka alaeze Chineke yiri? Gịnịkwa ka m ga-eji tụnyere ya?
He said therefore, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I liken it?
19 O yiri mkpụrụ mọstaadị nke mmadụ kụrụ nʼubi ya a gbara ogige. O toro ghọọ osisi, nke ụmụ nnụnụ na-ezukwa ike nʼalaka ya.”
It is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree; and the birds of the heaven lodged in the branches thereof.
20 Ọzọ, ọ sịrị, “Gịnị ka m ga-eji tụnyere alaeze Chineke?
And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 Ọ dị ka ihe na-eko achịchanke nwanyị gwakọtara na ọtụtụ atọ nke ụtụ ọka, tutu ruo mgbe o koro ụtụ ọka ahụ niile.”
It is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.
22 O jegharịrị nʼobodo ukwu na nʼobodo nta niile na-ezi ihe, ka ọ na-aga Jerusalem.
And he went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and journeying on unto Jerusalem.
23 Otu onye sịrị ya, “Onyenwe m, ndị a ga-azọpụta ha ga-adị ole na ole?” Ọ sịrị ha,
And one said unto him, Lord, are they few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 “Gbalịsienụ ike banye site nʼọnụ ụzọ dị warawara, nʼihi na ana m a gwa unu na ọtụtụ ga-achọ ịbanye ma ha agaghị enwe ike.
Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are;
26 “Nʼoge ahụ, unu ga-asị, ‘Anyị na gị rikọrọ, ṅụkọkwaa, ị kuzikwara nkuzi nʼogbe anyị.’
then shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets;
27 “Ma ọ ga-asị, ‘Amaghị m ebe unu siri bịa. Pụọnụ nʼihu m, unu ndị ajọ omume.’
and he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 “Ịkwa akwa na ịta ikikere eze ga-adịkwa mgbe unu ga-ahụ Ebraham, na Aịzik na Jekọb na ndị amụma niile ka ha nọ nʼalaeze Chineke; ma unu onwe unu abụrụ ndị a chụpụrụ nʼezi.
There shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without.
29 Ndị mmadụ ga-esite nʼọwụwa anyanwụ, nakwa ọdịda anyanwụ, na nʼugwu na ndịda nke ụwa bịa nọdụ nʼoriri nʼime alaeze Chineke.
And they shall come from the east and west, and from the north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 Ma lee, ndị bu ụzọ ga-aghọ ndị ikpeazụ, ma ndị ikpeazụ ga-aghọ ndị bu ụzọ.”
And behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
31 Nʼoge awa ahụ, ụfọdụ ndị Farisii bịakwutere ya sị ya, “Si nʼebe a pụọ, nʼihi na Herọd na-achọ igbu gị.”
In that very hour there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Get thee out, and go hence: for Herod would fain kill thee.
32 Ọ sịrị ha, “Gaa gwaranụ m nkịta ọhịa ahụ, lee, ana m achụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ, gwọọkwa ndị ọrịa taa na echi, ma nʼụbọchị nke atọ ka m ga-arụcha ọrụ m.
And he said unto them, Go and say to that fox, Behold, I cast out devils and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third [day] I am perfected.
33 Ma otu ọ dị, aga m aga nʼihu nʼụzọ m taa, na echi na nwanne echi, nʼihi na nʼezie, ọ dịghị onye amụma ga-anwụ nʼebe ọzọ na-abụghị na Jerusalem.
Howbeit I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 “O Jerusalem! Jerusalem! Gị onye na-egbu ndị amụma ma na-ejikwa nkume atụgbu ndị e ziteere gị. Ọtụtụ mgbe ka m gbalịrị ịchịkọta ụmụ gị dị ka nne ọkụkụ sị achịkọta ụmụ ya nʼokpuru nku ya, ma unu ekweghị.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen [gathereth] her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Lee, a hapụrụla unu ụlọ unu. Ma agwa m unu, unu agaghị ahụ m anya ọzọ ruo mgbe oge ahụ ga-abịa, mgbe unu ga-asị, ‘Onye a gọziri agọzi ka onye ahụ bụ nke na-abịa nʼaha Onyenwe anyị.’”
Behold, your house is left unto you [desolate]: and I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
