< Luk 12 >

Amongst which things, when the ten thousands of the multitude were gathered together, so that they were treading one upon another, he began to be saying, unto his disciples, first—Be keeping yourselves free from the leaven of the Pharisees, the which is, hypocrisy.
2 Nʼihi na ọ dịghị ihe ọbụla zoro ezo nke na-agaghị apụta ìhè, ọ dịkwaghị ihe e kpuchiri ekpuchi nke a na-agaghị ekpughe.
But, nothing, hath been, covered up, which shall not be uncovered, and hidden, which shall not be made known.
3 Ihe ọbụla unu kwuru nʼọchịchịrị, a ga-anụ ya nʼihe, ihe ọbụla unu gbara nʼizu nʼime ụlọ ka a ga-ekwusa nʼelu ụlọ.
Because, as many things as, in the darkness, ye have said, in the light, shall be heard; and, what to the ear ye spake, in the chambers, shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
4 “Ana m agwa unu, ndị enyi m, unu atụla egwu maka ndị na-egbu anụ ahụ ma e mesịa, ha apụghị ime ihe ọzọ.
And I say unto you, my friends—Do not be put in fear of them who kill the body, and, after these things, have nothing more uncommon which they can do.
5 Ma aga m ezi unu onye unu ga-atụ egwu. Tụọnụ egwu Onye ahụ nwere ikike igbu anụ ahụ ma tụbakwa ya nʼọkụ ala mmụọ. E, asị m unu tụọnụ ya egwu. (Geenna g1067)
But I will suggest to you, whom ye should fear—Fear him who, after killing, hath authority to cast into gehenna, —Yea, I say unto you—Him, fear ye. (Geenna g1067)
6 Ọ bụghị mkpụrụ ego abụọ ka a na-ere ụmụ nza ise? Ma o nweghị nke ọbụla nʼime ha Chineke chefuru.
Are not, five sparrows, sold for two farthings? and, not one from among them, hath been forgotten before God.
7 Nʼezie a gụrụ ọ bụladị agịrị isi dị nʼisi unu ọnụ. Unu atụla egwu, nʼihi na unu dị oke ọnụ karịa ọtụtụ ụmụ nza.
But, even the hairs of your head, have all been numbered: Be not afraid: many sparrows, ye excel.
8 “Ma asị m unu, na onye ọbụla kwupụtara m nʼihu ụmụ mmadụ, onye ahụ ka Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-ekwupụta nʼihu ndị mmụọ ozi nke Chineke.
And I say unto you—Whosoever shall confess me before men, even the Son of Man, will confess him, before the messengers of God;
9 Onye ọbụla na-agọnarị m nʼihu ndị mmadụ, a ga-agọnarịkwa ya nʼihu ndị mmụọ ozi nke Chineke.
But, he who denied me before men, shall be denied before the messengers of God.
10 Onye ọbụla nke ga-ekwu okwu megide Nwa nke Mmadụ, a ga-agbaghara ya, ma onye ọbụla na-ekwulu Mmụọ Nsọ, agaghị agbaghara ya.
And, whosoever shall say a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but, unto him who, against the Holy Spirit, speaketh profanely, it shall not be forgiven.
11 “Mgbe ha ga-akpọbata unu nʼihu ụlọ nzukọ, ndị ọchịchị na ndịisi, unu echegbula onwe unu otu unu ga-esi zaghachi, maọbụ ihe unu ga-aza, maọbụ ihe unu ga-ekwu.
But, whensoever they shall be bringing you in before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, do not be anxious how, [or what] ye shall answer, or what ye shall say;
12 Nʼihi na Mmụọ Nsọ ga-ezi unu nʼoge awa ahụ, ihe unu kwesiri ikwu.”
For, the Holy Spirit, shall teach you, in that very hour, what ye ought to say.
13 Otu onye nʼime igwe mmadụ ahụ sịrị ya, “Onye ozizi, gwa nwanne m nwoke ka o kenye m oke nʼihe nketa anyị.”
And one from amongst the multitude said unto him—Teacher! bid my brother divide with me the inheritance.
14 Ọ sịrị ya, “Nwoke, onye mere m onye ikpe maọbụ onye ndozi okwu nʼetiti unu?”
But, he, said unto him—Man! who hath appointed me a judge or divider over you?
15 Ma ọ sịrị ha, “Kpachapụnụ anya! Nọrọnụ na nche banyere oke ọchịchọ niile, nʼihi na ndụ mmadụ adabereghị nʼọtụtụ ihe o nwere.”
And he said unto them—Mind and be guarding yourselves from all covetousness; for not, in one’s abundance, doth his life spring out of his possessions.
16 Ọ tụụrụ ha ilu a sị, “Otu ọgaranya nwere ala mịrị nnọọ mkpụrụ dị ukwuu.
And he spake a parable unto them, saying—A certain rich man’s estate, bare well.
17 O chere nʼime onwe ya sị, ‘Gịnị ka m ga-eme nʼihi na enweghị m ebe m ga-echekwa mkpụrụ m?’
And he began to deliberate within himself, saying—What shall I do? because I have not where I can gather my fruits.
18 “Ya mere ọ sịrị, ‘Ihe m ga-eme bụ nke a, aga m akwatu ọba m, wuo nke ka ya ukwuu, bụ ebe m ga-echekwa mkpụrụ m na ihe ndị ọzọ.
And he said—This, will I do, —I will pull down my barns, and, greater ones, build, and gather, there, all my wheat and good things;
19 Ya mere aga m agwa mkpụrụobi m, “I nwere ọtụtụ ezi ihe ga-ezuru gị ọtụtụ afọ, nʼihi ya zuru ike, rie, ṅụọ ma nweekwa obi ụtọ.”’
and will say to my soul—Soul! thou hast many good things [lying by for many years: be taking thy rest, eat, drink, ] be making merry!
20 “Ma Chineke gwara ya sị, ‘Onye nzuzu, nʼabalị a ka a ga-achọ mkpụrụobi gị nʼaka gị. Ihe niile ị kpakọtara nke onye ka ha ga-abụ?’
But God said unto him—Simple one! on this very night, they are asking, thy soul, from thee; The things, then, which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?
21 “Otu a ka ọ ga-adịrị onye ọbụla na-akpadoro naanị onwe ya akụ, ma ọ baghị ụba nʼebe Chineke nọ.”
[So, is he that is laying up treasure for himself, and is not rich, towards God.]
22 Ọ gwara ndị na-eso ụzọ ya, “Ya mere, asị m unu, unu echegbula onwe unu banyere ndụ unu, ihe unu ga-eri, maọbụ banyere ahụ unu, ihe unu ga-eyi.
And he said unto his disciples—For this cause, I say unto you, —Be not anxious for the life, what ye shall eat, nor yet for [your] body, what ye shall put on;
23 Nʼihi na ndụ dị mkpa karịa ihe oriri, anụ ahụ dịkwa mkpa karịa uwe.
For, the life, is more, than the food, and, the body, than, the clothing.
24 Tuleenụ ugolọma. Ha adịghị akụ maọbụ ghọrọ mkpụrụ ọbụla. Ha enweghị ụlọakụ maọbụ ọba, ma Chineke na-azụ ha nri. Unu ọ dịghị oke ọnụahịa karịa anụ ufe ndị a.
Consider well the ravens—That they sow nor, neither do they reap, which have neither chamber nor barn, —and, God, feedeth, them! By how much do, ye, excel, the birds?
25 Onye nʼime unu pụrụ itinye otu nkeji nʼogologo ụbọchị nke ndụ ya site nʼichegbu onwe ya?
And, who from among you, though anxious, can, unto his stature, add a cubit?
26 Ebe unu na-apụghị ime ihe nta dị otu a, gịnị mere unu ji echegbu onwe unu banyere ihe ndị ọzọ?
If then, not even the least thing, ye can do, why, concerning the rest, are ye anxious?
27 “Tuleenụ otu okoko ọhịa lili si eto. Ha adịghị arụ ọrụ ọbụla maọbụ tụọ ogho. Ma asị m unu, ọ bụladị Solomọn nʼebube nke ịbụ eze ya niile, eyighị uwe ọbụla mara mma dị ka otu nʼime okoko osisi nke ọhịa ndị a.
Consider well the lilies, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin, and yet I say unto you—Not even Solomon, in all his glory, was arrayed like one of these.
28 Ma ọ bụrụ na Chineke si otu a chọọ ahịhịa efu nke ubi mma, nke pụrụ ịdị ndụ taa ma echi atụba ha nʼite ọkụ, ọ bụ na ọ pụghị i si otu a chọọ unu mma karịa? Unu ndị okwukwe nta.
But, if God thus adorneth, the grass, which is, in a field, to-day, and, to-morrow, into an oven, is cast, how much rather you, O little-of-faith?
29 Ya mere, unu adọgbula onwe unu maka ihe unu ga-eri maọbụ ihe unu ga-aṅụ. Unu echegbukwala onwe unu.
Ye, therefore, be not seeking what ye shall eat and what ye shall drink, and be not held in suspense;
30 Nʼihi na ọ bụ ihe ndị a ka ndị mba nke ụwa na-achụso, ma Nna unu makwara na ha dị unu mkpa.
For, after all these things, do, the nations of the world, seek, —but, your Father, knoweth that ye need these things.
31 Kama chọọnụ alaeze ya, a ga-atụkwasịkwara unu ihe ndị a niile.
Notwithstanding, be seeking his kingdom, —and, these things, shall be added unto you.
32 “Unu atụla egwu, igwe atụrụ nta, nʼihi na ọ tọrọ Nna unu ụtọ inye unu alaeze ahụ.
Be not afraid, the dear little flock! for your Father delighteth to give you, the kingdom.
33 Reenụ ihe unu nwere nyekwanụ ndị ogbenye. Meerenụ onwe unu akpa na-agaghị aka nka, nʼọba akụ nʼeluigwe, ebe onye ohi na-adịghị abịa nso, nla adịghị erichapụkwa ya.
Sell your possessions, and give alms, make for yourselves purses that wax not old, —treasure unfailing, in the heavens, where, thief, doth not draw near, and, moth, doth not spoil.
34 Nʼihi na ebe ọbụla akụ unu dị ka obi unu ga-adịkwa.”
For, where your treasure is, there, will your heart he also.
35 “Keenụ ajị nʼume, meenụ ka oriọna unu na-enwu enwu.
Let your loins be girded, and your lamps burning,
36 Dịnụ ka ndị ohu na-echere nlọghachi nke nna ha ukwu, onye gara oriri agbamakwụkwọ, bụ onye ha ga-emeghere ụzọ ngwangwa mgbe ọ lọtara kụọ aka.
And, ye yourselves, like unto men awaiting their own lord, once he may break up out of the marriage-feast, —that, when he cometh and knocketh, straightway, they may open unto him.
37 Ndị ohu ahụ ga-abụ ndị a gọziri agọzi, bụ ndị onyenwe ha ga-ahụ na ha nọ na nche mgbe ọ ga-alọghachi. Nʼezie asị m unu na ọ ga-eke belịt ya nʼukwu ya, mekwa ka ha nọdụ ala na tebul iri ihe, ọ ga-abịakwa jere ha ozi.
Happy those servants, whom the lord, when he cometh, shall find watching! Verily, I say unto you—he will gird himself, and make them recline, and, coming near, will minister unto them.
38 Ngọzị ga-adịrị ndị ohu ahụ onye nwe ha ga-ahụ ka ha nọ na njikere, ọ bụladị ma ọ lọghachiri nʼetiti abalị, maọbụ nʼezigbo isi ụtụtụ.
And, if, in the second, or if, in the third, watch, he come and find, thus, happy, are, they!
39 Maranụ nke a: ọ bụrụ na onyenwe ụlọ maara oge awa onye ohi ga-eji abịa nʼụlọ ya, ọ gaghị ekwe ka onye ohi ahụ tiwaa ụlọ ya.
But, of this, be taking note—Had the householder known, in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not suffered his house, to be digged through.
40 Unu kwesiri ịnọ na njikere nʼihi na Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-abịa nʼoge awa unu na-atụghị anya ya.”
Ye, therefore, be getting ready, because, in what hour ye are not thinking, The Son of Man cometh!
41 Pita sịrị ya, “Onyenwe anyị, ị tụrụ ilu a nʼihi anyị, ka ọ bụ maka onye ọbụla?”
But Peter said—Lord! unto us, this parable, speakest thou? or, even unto all?
42 Ma Onyenwe anyị sịrị, “Onye bụ ohu ahụ nke kwesiri ntụkwasị obi ma nwekwa uche, nke onyenwe ya mere onyeisi ụmụodibo ya niile, ka ọ na-enye ha nri mgbe o kwesiri?
And the Lord said—Who then is the faithful steward, the prudent one, whom the lord will appoint over his body of attendants, to be giving, in due season, the measured allowance of wheat?
43 Ngọzị na-adịrị ohu ahụ nke onyenwe ya ga-ahụ ka ọ na-arụ ọrụ ahụ mgbe ọ ga-alọghachi.
Happy, that servant, whom the lord, when he cometh shall find doing, thus!
44 Nʼezie asị m unu, ọ ga-eme onye nke ahụ onyeisi nke ihe niile o nwere.
Of a truth, I say unto you—Over all his possessions, will he appoint him.
But, if that servant should say in his heart—My lord delayeth to come! and should begin to be striking the youths and the maidens, —to be eating also, and drinking, and making himself drunk,
46 Nna ukwu ohu ahụ ga-alọta nʼụbọchị ọ na-atụghị anya, nʼoge awa ọ na-amakwaghị. Ọ ga-egburisikwa ya, nye ya ọnọdụ nʼetiti ndị na-ekweghị ekwe.
The lord of that servant, will have come—on a day when he is not expecting, and in an hour when he is not taking note, —and will cut him asunder, and, his part, with the unfaithful, will appoint.
47 “Ohu ahụ maara ihe nna ya ukwu chọrọ ma hapụ ịnọ na njikere, maọbụ ime ya, ka a ga-apịasi ụtarị ike.
And, that servant, who had come to know the will of his lord, and neither prepared, nor wrought unto his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;
48 Ma onye na-amaghị ama ma mee ihe kwesiri ka a pịa ya ụtarị, a ga-apịa ya ụtarị ole na ole. Nʼihi na ọ bụ onye e nyere ihe hiri nne ka a ga-ele anya ịnata ihe hiri nne nʼaka. Onye e nyekwara ihe ukwu nʼaka idebe, nʼaka ya ka a ga-achọ ihe nke kachasịnụ.
Whereas, he who had not come to know, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And, every one to whom was given much, much, shall be sought from him; and, he to whom they committed much, for more than common, will they ask him.
49 “A bịara m iwebata ọkụ nʼelu ụwa, ọ gaara adịrị m nọ mma ma ọ bụrụ na ọ malitelarị inwu!
Fire, came I to cast upon the earth, —and what can I wish, if, already, it hath been, kindled?
50 Enwere m baptizim nke m na-aghaghị ime, ma aga m anọgide nʼoke ihe mgbu tutu e mezuo ya
But, an immersion, have I, to be immersed with, and how am I distressed, until it be ended!
51 Unu chere na m bịara iweta udo nʼụwa? Asị m unu mbaa, kama nkewa.
Suppose ye, that, peace, I am come to give in the earth? Nay, I tell you, but rather division.
52 Site ugbu a gawa, mmadụ ise si nʼotu ezinaụlọ ga-ekewa megide onwe ha, atọ megide abụọ, abụọ megide atọ.
For there shall be, henceforth, five in one house, divided, —three against two, and two against three:
53 Ha ga-ekewa; nna megide nwa ya nwoke, nwa nwoke ga-emegidekwa nna ya, nne megide nwa ya nwanyị, nwa nwanyị megidekwa nne ya, nne di megide nwunye nwa ya, nwunye nwa megide nne di ya.”
There shall be divided—Father against son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against the mother, —mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against the mother-in-law.
54 Ọ gwakwara igwe mmadụ ahụ sị, “Mgbe unu hụrụ urukpu ojii ka ọ na-ebili nʼọdịda anyanwụ, unu na-eme ngwangwa sị, ‘Mmiri ga-ezo,’ ọ na-ezokwa.
And he went on to say, even unto the multitudes, —Whensoever ye see a cloud springing up from the west, straightway, ye are saying—A thunderstorm is coming! and it happeneth thus.
55 Mgbe unu hụrụ na ifufe na-esite na ndịda na-efe, unu na-asị, Oke okpomọkụ ga-adị, ọ na-emekwa otu ahụ.
And, whensoever a south wind, blowing, ye say—A scorching heat, will there be! and it cometh to pass.
56 Ndị ihu abụọ! Unu matara ịkọwa ihu ala na mbara eluigwe. Gịnị mere unu apụghị ịkọwa oge dị ugbu a?
Hypocrites! the face of the earth and of the heaven, ye know how to scan; but, this season, how know ye not to scan;
57 “Gịnị mere unu adịghị ekpebiri onwe unu ihe ziri ezi?
Why, moreover, even from yourselves, judge ye not what is just?
58 Ọ bụrụ na gị na onye na-ebo gị ebubo esoro na-aga nʼihu ọkaikpe, gbalịsie ike ka gị na ya kpezie nʼụzọ, ma ọ bụghị otu a, ọ ga-akpọpụ gị nʼihu onye ọkaikpe, ma eleghị anya ọkaikpe ahụ ga-arara gị nye nʼaka ọkaikpe ukwu, ọkaikpe ukwu ga-ararakwa gị nye nʼaka onye na-eje ozi nʼụlọikpe, bụ onye ga-etinye gị nʼụlọ mkpọrọ.
For, as thou art going along with thine adversary unto a ruler, on the way, take pains to get a release from him; lest once he drag thee along unto the judge, and, the judge, deliver thee up to the punisher, —and, the punisher, cast thee into prison:
59 Asị m gị, ị gaghị e si nʼebe ahụ pụta ruo mgbe ị kwụghachiri ọ bụladị otu kobo nke ikpeazụ.”
I tell thee—In nowise shalt thou come out from thence, until, even the last fraction, thou pay!
