< Luk 11 >

And it came to pass, when he was in a certain place praying, as he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him—Lord! teach us to pray, as, John also, taught his disciples.
2 Ọ sịrị ha, “Mgbe unu na-ekpe ekpere, sịnụ: “‘Nna, ka e doo aha gị nsọ ka alaeze gị bịa.
And he said unto them—Whensoever ye are praying, say—Father! Hallowed be thy name, Come may thy kingdom,
3 Nye anyị taa nri nke ụbọchị anyị.
Our needful bread, be giving us, day by day;
4 Gbaghara anyị mmehie anyị, nʼihi na anyị na-agbaghara onye ọbụla mehiere megide anyị. Ekwela ka anyị daba nʼime ọnwụnwa.’”
And forgive us our sins, for, even we ourselves, forgive every one indebted to us; And bring us not into temptation.
5 Ọ sịrị ha, “Onye nʼime unu nwere enyi, ga-agakwuru ya nʼetiti abalị sị ya, ‘Enyi m, biko gbazinye m ogbe achịcha atọ,
And he said unto them—Who from among you, shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him—Friend! supply me with three loaves,
6 nʼihi na otu enyi m bịara nʼụlọ m, ma enweghị m nri ọbụla nʼụlọ m nke m ga-enye ya.’
forasmuch as, a friend of mine, hath come off a journey unto me, and I have not what I can set before him;
7 Ma ọ ga-esi nʼime ụlọ zaghachi sị, ‘Enyela m nsogbu, emechiela m ụzọ, mụ na ụmụ m alakpuola, enweghị m ike ibili ugbu a inye gị ihe ọbụla.’
and, he, from within, shall answer, and say—Be not disturbing me, —already, the door hath been fastened, and, my children, with me, are, in bed: I cannot rise and give thee?
8 Agwa m unu, ọ bụ ezie na ọ gaghị ebili nye ya ihe ọbụla nʼihi na ọ bụ enyi ya, kama nʼihi nsogbu ya, ọ ga-ebili nye ya ihe ọbụla dị ya mkpa.
I say unto you—Even though he will not give him, rising because of his being a friend of his, because, at least, of his importunity, he will rouse himself, and give him as many as he needeth.
9 “Ya mere, agwa m unu, rịọọnụ, unu ga-arịọta, chọọnụ, unu ga-achọta, kụọkwanụ aka, a ga-emeghekwara unu ụzọ.
I, therefore, unto you, say—Be asking, and it shall be given to you, Be seeking, and ye shall find, —Be knocking, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 Nʼihi na onye na-arịọ na-arịọta, onye na-achọ na-achọta, onye na-akụ aka nʼụzọ ka a ga-emeghekwara ụzọ.
For, whosoever asketh, receiveth, and, he that seeketh, findeth, —and, to him that knocketh, shall it be opened.
11 “Onye nʼime unu bụ nna, ka nwa ya ga-arịọ ya azụ, o nye ya agwọ?
But which is the father, from among yourselves, whom the son will ask for, a fish, who, instead of a fish, will give him, a serpent?
12 Maọbụ rịọọ ya akwa, ọ ga-enye ya akpị?
Or shall also ask, an egg, who will give him, a scorpion?
13 Ọ bụrụ na unu bụ ndị ọjọọ, maara otu esi enye ụmụ unu onyinye dị mma, karịa nke a, Nna unu nke bi nʼeluigwe aghaghị inye ha Mmụọ Nsọ bụ ndị niile na-arịọ ya.”
If therefore, ye, being, evil, know how to be giving, good gifts, unto your children, how much rather, will, the heavenly Father, give Holy Spirit unto them that ask him!
14 Otu mgbe, ọ na-achụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ nke dara ogbi, mgbe mmụọ ọjọọ ahụ pụrụ, onye ogbi ahụ kwuru okwu. Nke a juru igwe mmadụ ahụ anya.
And he was casting out a demon that was dumb; and it came to pass, when the demon went out, the dumb began speaking. And the multitudes marvelled;
15 Ma ụfọdụ nʼime ha sịrị, “Ọ bụ site nʼike Belzebub eze ndị mmụọ ọjọọ ka o ji achụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ.”
but, some from among them, said—In Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons, is he casting out the demons;
and, others, putting him to the test, a sign out of heaven, were seeking from him.
17 Ma ebe ọ bụ na ọ maara ihe ha na-eche, ọ sịrị ha, “Alaeze ọbụla kewaranụ megide ibe ya, ga-atọgbọrọ nʼefu, ezinaụlọ ọbụla nke kewakwara megide ibe ya ga-adakpọ.
But, he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them—Every kingdom, against itself divided, is laid waste, and, a house, against a house, [divided], falleth;
And, if, even Satan, against himself hath become divided, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye are saying that, in Beelzebul, am I casting out the demons.
19 Ugbu a, ọ bụrụ na m sitere nʼike Belzebub na-achụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ, ọ bụ site nʼike onye ka ụmụ unu ji na-achụpụ ha? Ya mere, ha ga-abụ ndị ikpe unu.
But, if, I, in Beelzebul, am casting out the demons, In whom are, your sons, casting them out? Wherefore, they, shall be, your judges.
20 Ma ọ bụrụ na m ji ike mkpịsịaka Chineke na-achụpụ mmụọ ọjọọ, mgbe ahụ alaeze Chineke abịarutela nʼebe unu nọ.
But, if, with the finger of God, I, am casting out the demons, then doubtless unawares hath come upon you, the kingdom of God.
21 “Mgbe nwoke siri ike ji ngwa agha chekwa obi ya, ihe o nwere ga-adịgidere ya nʼudo.
Whensoever, the mighty one, armed, may be guarding his own dwelling, in peace, are his goods;
But, whensoever, a mightier than he, shall come upon and vanquish him, his panoply, he taketh away, wherein he was trusting, and, his spoils, he distributeth.
23 “Onye ọbụla na-adịnyeghịrị m na-emegide m. Onye ọ bụlakwa na-adịghị eso m ekpokọta, na-ekposa ekposa.
He that is not with me, is, against me; and, he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.
24 “Mgbe ọbụla mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha sị nʼime mmadụ pụọ, ọ na-ejegharị nʼala kpọrọ nkụ na-achọgharị ebe izuike. Ọ bụrụ na ọ chọtaghị ya, mgbe ahụ, ọ ga-asị, ‘Aga m alaghachi nʼụlọ m hapụrụ.’
Whensoever, the impure spirit, goeth out from the man, it passeth through waterless places, seeking rest; and, not finding it, [then, ] it saith, I will return unto my house, whence I came out; —
and, coming, findeth it, [empty, ] swept, and adorned.
26 Mgbe ahụ, ọ ga-apụ ga chọta mmụọ ọjọọ asaa ọzọ ndị dị njọ karịa ya. Ha niile na-abata biri nʼime onye ahụ, mee ka ọnọdụ ya dị njọ karịa ka ọ dị na mbụ.”
Then, goeth it, and taketh along with itself, other spirits, more wicked than itself—seven, and, entering in, fixeth its dwelling there; and, the last state of that man, becometh, worse than the first.
27 Mgbe ọ kpụ okwu a nʼọnụ, otu nwanyị sitere nʼime igwe mmadụ ahụ tie mkpu sị, “Ngọzị na-adịrị afọ mụrụ gị na ara nke e jiri zụọ gị.”
Now it came to pass, while he was saying these things, that a certain woman out of the multitude, lifting up her voice, said unto him—Happy the womb that bare thee! And the breasts which thou didst suck!
But, he, said—Yea rather!—Happy they who hear the word of God, and observe it!
29 Dị ka igwe mmadụ ahụ na-amụba, o bidoro na-ekwu sị, “Ọgbọ a bụ ọgbọ ọjọọ. Ọ na-achọ ihe ịrịbama ma ọ dịghị ihe ịrịbama a ga-ezi ya karịa ihe ịrịbama Jona.
And, as the multitudes were thronging together, he began to be saying—This generation, is, a wicked generation: A sign, it is seeking, and, a sign, shall not be given it, save the sign of Jonah.
30 Nʼihi na dị ka Jona si bụrụ ihe ịrịbama nye ndị Ninive, otu a ka Nwa nke Mmadụ ga-esi bụrụkwa ihe ama nye ọgbọ a.
For, according as, Jonah, became, unto the Ninevites, a sign, so, shall be, the Son of Man also, unto this generation.
31 Nʼụbọchị ahụ, eze nwanyị ndị ndịda ga-ebili soro ndị ọgbọ a guzo nʼikpe, maa ha ikpe, nʼihi na o sitere na nsọtụ nke ụwa bịa nụrụ okwu amamihe Solomọn, ma lee, onye karịrị Solomọn nọ nʼebe a.
The queen of the south, will rise up, in the judgment, with the men of this generation, and will condemn them; because she came out of the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, —and lo! something more than Solomon, here.
32 Ndị ikom Ninive ga-eso ọgbọ a bilie nʼụbọchị ikpe maa ya ikpe, nʼihi na ha chegharịrị mgbe ha nụrụ nkwusa Jona, ma lee, onye karịrị Jona ukwuu nọ nʼebe a.”
Men of Nineveh, will rise up, in the judgment, with this generation, and will condemn it; because they repented into the proclamation of Jonah, —and lo! something more than Jonah, here.
33 “Ọ dịghị onye na-amụnye oriọna dọnye ya nʼebe zoro ezo maọbụ nʼokpuru efere, kama, ọ na-adọkwasị ya nʼelu ihe ịdọba ọkụ ka ndị na-abata nʼụlọ ahụ jiri ya hụ ụzọ.
No one, having lighted, a lamp, into a covered place, a putteth it, nor, under the measure; but upon the lampstand, that they who enter may see, the light.
34 Anya bụ oriọna nke anụ ahụ. Ọ bụrụ na anya gị dị mma, ahụ gị niile ga-ejupụta nʼìhè. Ọ bụrụkwanụ na anya gị dị njọ, ị ga-anọ nʼọchịchịrị.
The lamp of thy body, is thine eye: Whensoever, thine eye, may be, single, even the whole of thy body, is, lighted up; but, whensoever it may be, useless, even thy body, is darkened.
35 Ya mere, lezie anya ka ị mara ka ìhè dị nʼime gị, ọ bụghị ọchịchịrị.
Be looking to it, therefore, lest, the light that is in thee, be, darkness.
36 Nʼihi nke a, ọ bụrụ na ahụ gị niile ejupụta nʼìhè, ọ bụrụkwa na akụkụ ọbụla agbaghị ọchịchịrị, mgbe ahụ, ahụ gị niile ga-ejupụta nʼìhè dị ka mgbe ìhè oriọna na-achakwasị gị nʼahụ.”
If, therefore, thy whole body, is lighted up, not having any part darkened, the whole, shall be lighted up, as whensoever, the lamp, with its radiance, may be giving thee light.
37 Mgbe ọ na-ekwu okwu, otu onye Farisii kpọrọ ya ka ọ bịa soro ya rie nri. Ọ banyere nọrọ nʼoche nri.
And, when he had spoken, a Pharisee was requesting him that he would dine with him; and, entering, he reclined.
And, the Pharisee, beholding, marvelled that he was not, first, immersed, before the dinner.
39 Ma Onyenwe anyị sịrị ya, “Unu ndị Farisii na-asacha azụ iko mmiri na efere, mee ka ọ dị ọcha, ma ime unu jupụtara nʼanya ukwu na nʼihe ọjọọ dị iche iche.
And the Lord said unto him: Now, ye, the Pharisees, the outside of the cup and of the tray, do make pure; but, your inward part, is full of plunder and wickedness.
Simple ones! Did not, he who made the outside, the inside also, make?
41 Kama werenụ ihe ndị ahụ dị nʼime rụọ ọrụ ebere, ihe niile ga-adịkwara unu ọcha.
Notwithstanding, as to the things within, give alms, and lo! everything, is, pure unto you.
42 “Ahụhụ ga-adịrị unu ndị Farisii, nʼihi na unu na-enye otu ụzọ nʼụzọ iri nʼihi mint, na mkpa akwụkwọ na-esi isi ụtọna mkpa akwụkwọ niile dị iche iche nke ubi, ma leghara ikpe ziri ezi na ịhụnanya nke Chineke anya. Ihe niile ndị a ka unu kwesiri ime nʼelegharaghị ihe ndị ọzọ anya.
But alas for you, the Pharisees! because ye tithe the mint, and the rue, and every garden herb, and pass by justice, and the love of God. But, these things, it was binding to do, and, those, not to pass by.
43 “Ahụhụ ga-adịrị unu ndị Farisii! Nʼihi na unu na-ahụ ịnọ nʼisi oche niile nʼụlọ ekpere na ekele pụrụ iche a na-ekele unu nʼọma ahịa nʼanya.
Alas for you, the Pharisees! because ye love the first seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the market-places!
Alas for you! because ye are as the secret tombs: even the men that are walking above them, know it not.
45 Nʼotu oge, otu onye ozizi iwu sịrị ya, “Onye ozizi, mgbe ị na-ekwu ihe ndị a, anyị sokwa na ndị ị na-akọcha.”
And, making answer, one of the Lawyers saith unto him, Teacher! these things, saying, us also, dost thou insult!
46 Ma ọ sịrị, “Ahụhụ ga-adịrị unu bụ ndị ozizi iwu. Nʼihi na unu na-ebo ndị mmadụ ibu ha na-enweghị ike ibuli, ma unu onwe unu adịghị eweli ọ bụladị otu mkpịsịaka unu, ịmetụ ibu ahụ aka.
And, he, said—And, for you, the lawyers, alas! because ye lade men with burdens hard to be borne, and, yourselves, with one of your fingers, touch not the burdens.
47 “Ahụhụ ga-adịrị unu nʼihi na unu na-ewu ili ndị amụma bụ ndị nna nna unu ha gburu.
Alas for you! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers slew them!
48 Ya mere, unu bụ ndị akaebe ma kwenyekwa nʼihe ndị nna nna unu ha mere, nʼihi ha gburu ha, ma unu e wuo ili ha.
Hence, witnesses, are ye, and find consenting pleasure in the works of your fathers: because, they, indeed, slew them, and, ye, are building, [their tombs].
49 Ọ bụ nʼihi nke a ka Chineke nʼamamihe ya ji kwuo sị, Aga m ezigara ha ndị amụma na ndị ozi, ụfọdụ ka ha ga-egbu ma ndị ọzọkwa ka ha ga-akpagbu.
For this cause, the Wisdom of God hath said—I will send forth, unto them, prophets and apostles, —and, some from among them, will they slay, and, [some] persecute:
50 Nʼihi nke a, ọgbọ a ga-aza ajụjụ banyere ọbara ndị amụma niile a wufuru, site na mmalite nke ụwa,
That the blood of all the prophets which hath been shed from the foundation of the world, may be sought out, from this generation, —
51 site nʼọbara Ebel ruo na nke Zekaraya, onye e gburu nʼetiti ebe ịchụ aja na ebe nsọ. E, agwa m unu, a ga-ajụ ihe banyere ha nʼaka ọgbọ a.
From the blood of Abel, unto the blood of Zachariah who was destroyed betwixt the altar and the house; Yea! I say unto you—It shall be sought out from this generation.
52 “Ahụhụ ga-adịrị unu bụ ndị ozizi iwu, nʼihi na unu wepụrụ ọtụghe igodo nke amamihe. Unu onwe unu abanyeghị, ma unu gbochikwara ndị na-abata ịbata.”
Alas for you, the lawyers! because ye took away the key of knowledge: yourselves, entered not, and, them who were entering, ye hindered.
And, when, from thence, he came out, the Scribes and the Pharisees began, with vehemence, to be hemming him in, and trying to make him speak off-hand concerning many things, —
54 na-esiri ya ọnya, ka ha mara ma ọ ga-ekwuhie ọnụ, ka ha hụ ihe ha ga-eji jide ya.
lying in wait for him, to catch something out of his mouth.
